This book provides a setting based on Burroughs' Mars adventure series of books for the Hollow Earth Expedition RPG. It's a pretty rare setting for RPGs, so it is good to see it represented. Having said that, I personally prefer the original setting for Hollow Earth Expedition. The parts I liked are the alien races and the character examples. One small complaint is the art is very uneven. There are some great pieces, and then there are some that looked like a middle-schooler drew them in his notebook during math class. Overall, I would say this is worth getting if you're interested in the setting.

A great setting. It provides a lot of fun options. It balances new player and GM material. The writing was fun and draws you into the feel.
