I knew all about Blackie and Lacey from reading the Blackout duet, but seeing where it all began was a nice detour (thinking of you, Riggs). I got to see how the whole Leather and Lace deal got started and their story was darker than all the rest. It was full of inner angst and outer dangers. With Lacey struggling with her mental illness and trying to be seen, to be heard... this young woman broke my heart. And Blackie was struggling with his many addictions. However, they were each other's rocks. They were the one person they could be real with, the person who could really see them.

I still find this relationship a bit icky. Remember, Blackie is Jack's bestie and Lacey is Jack's daughter. Blackie has been a part of her life since she was a little girl. Whenever the hero watches the heroine grow up and then falls for her, I'm always a bit thrown. But the author pulls it off. I wasn't grossed out (completely) and I found it easy to get on board with idea of this couple's happily ever after. They fought hard for it and they earned it. Painful and beautiful, their story was a treat to read.

This isn’t my first rodeo with Ms Bosco and her rugged men so I’ve met Blackie and I’ve met Lacey and I just KNEW that Lethal Temptations was going to be an intense and emotional journey. I knew it was going to be harsh and violent and shocking. I knew I was going to fall hopelessly for the broken Blackie and Lacey with all her secret pain. I knew that the two of them were going to be SO impossibly beautiful together. I knew this book was going to kill me. But I was wrong. This book didn’t just kill me. I got motherfucking slayed!

I adore this series. It is without a doubt one of, if not THE best MC Romance series I have ever read and yet I want to go back and give all the other books in this series three stars (OK maybe not Reckless Temptations because Riggs is my man) because I need some way of showing everyone that Janine Infante Bosco has outdone herself with this gorgeous story of two people in pain finding their way to each other and creating something beautiful out of all the wreckage around them. Leather and Lace. GAH!

Blackie, dear god in heaven, Blackie. Who knew a junkie could make you swoon? He is so unbelievably sad and carrying so much guilt and watching him wage a battle everyday just to get out of bed had my heart shattering on the floor. The love he has for those he calls his family and the desperate need he has for Lacey made me want to hug him close and tell him that everything was going to be OK. His filthy mouth made me want to hug him close for entirely different reasons however.

I don’t want to give too much of this book away but just know that it is a difficult journey for them and there will be violence and there will be blood. There will be moments that shock you and there will be moments you’ll want to rage against it but there are also moments that are so beautifully heartbreaking that you won’t be able to put this book down. Don’t worry though, because there is still plenty of humour and things that will give you the warm fuzzies all over. I just need everyone to meet Blackie and Lacey. I cannot recommend this book, and this entire series enough!

We've gotten hints in the previous book that there was something going on between Blackie and Lacey, the club's vp and the daughter of the president.

I think I remember in a previous book that Blackie was 5 years younger than Bulldog which should place him at 33 and Lacey at 19 (I think)
He's been looking out for her for years
The writing style in this one was weird as hell
Lots of internal monologue
Blackie relapses and uses drugs a couple times
I didn't like all that attention focused on his dead ex(totally a ME thing)
No mention of OW in the time between his wife's death and his hookup with Lacey (there was a scene in a previous book that I wanted an explanation for but nothing!)
She was an experienced virgin
The sexy times sucked
The first part of the story just recapped what had already happened, just from Blackie's POV which was a disappointment
For all the badass these guys proclaim themselves they're really kinda NOT 😂
He pushes her away for all the expected reasons
Why the hell did she go in that car and kiss the guy??? Ugh! The guy didn't want to stop and almost raped her, Blackie rescues her
They finally get it together
Jack's reaction was better than I thought it'd be
Another enemy defeated
For a small club they're forever at war 🤦

Leather and Lace. If you read the last book you heard Blackie had that as a reason to keep living. It was pretty easy to figure out who was Lace. We got her age but never heard his. We know he is older and the President of the club is his best friend while he is VP.

Blackie is an addict. He had lost his everything and pretty much gave up on life. Just waiting on death to claim him.

Lacey is Jack's (The Bulldog or better known as the president) daughter. She has secrets and guilt. For thirteen years she has felt guilty but she was only a small child at the time and wasn't her fault.

Deals were made in the last book and it didn't go as planned. People are threatened. Can leather and Lace deal with it all and can they beat the odds?

This book deal's with mental health issues.

description

It goes without saying that right from the moment he first made an appearance in this series, I was looking forward to Blackie’s story. Knowing right from the get that there was one there. A heavy one no less, just based on the tidbits we were given throughout each individual story.

What I wasn’t entirely sure about, was who the woman would be that would change him. Bring the man so drenched in darkness, back from the brink and more than that, back into the light where god love him, he deserved to be. At least, I didn’t know at first.

If you’ve read any of the last three books, you’ll figure it out real quick just who it is and just how much shit it’s inevitably going to cause. How forbidden it is even if it just plain works. If it makes sense. Forget about ages, forget about who Lacey Parrish is, or even who Blackie himself is. Put all of that away and just look at these two incredibly resilient yet bruised and damaged people and you see very quickly just how right they are for one another.

At least that’s how it was for me.

This series, it’s incredibly moving and there are a lot of heavy and darker aspects to it that just pull at you emotionally, but this book, well, I’m pretty sure this one takes the cake. I’ve been privileged enough to see the author incorporate and bring to light serious real life issues in previous books, but no one does it quite like this one.

Not only are we staring down the very real face of addiction (in its many different forms), but we’re also thrown straight into the mind of someone dealing with mental illness. But where that has already been touched on before with Jack, you’re seeing it manifest itself this time in Lacey. In a different way with a much younger person.

I had to take many breaks reading this story, which up until now, wasn’t an issue I faced with the others and here’s why. Lacey, especially in the beginning, but even more so the deeper you go into the story and the events that take place…it was heartbreaking. You see instances in a very young version of herself where the illness (her maker) takes over. Where it’s born and you see the result of it and every single time the focus was brought around to the guilt she feels, the tremendous pressure she put on herself for a situation that at such a young age she had no real control over, well, it broke my heart. It made me cry and I needed a break, multiple breaks because it was just that raw and real.

As someone that has been diagnosed with a mental illness, and has also known many people in my life that are also living with it on a day to day, this spoke to me so much and the author earned my respect for dealing with such a sensitive issue in such a real way.

Which brings me to the other real issue she handled and earned my respect with. Blackie. The fight he has his with demons, with his darkness and the light (in Lacey) that just refuses to stop shining on him. It wasn’t pretty and a lot of times, it made you sick before it made you better, but that’s what I enjoy most about Janine’s stories. They aren’t all candy colored kisses and rainbow shooting unicorns. You’re getting real people, in some very real (albeit out of this world) situations who react in ways that are very organic, even if they aren’t the way you think you’d act if in the same situation.

But through all that darkness (and the freaking Bones references I lived and cried through again…thanks for that by the way author lady), I pulled something else from this story. I experienced hope. I experienced what happiness looks like when you make it out of the war of your body and mind, and I experienced love. Lacey and Blackie, even though their journey was not an easy one by any stretch of the imagination gave me that.

And it’s those things that I will take with me most now that the story is done. It is what will stick with me long after the final page is turned. You’re never truly stuck in the darkness. Sometimes, just sometimes, all you need to do is turn on the light. I’m so glad I got to be a part of Lacey and Blackie doing just that.

My thanks to the author and all others involved in letting me read an ARC of this beautiful story before its official release. This is one that will stick with me always.

5 Phenomenal Star’s

I was looking forward to this book so hard from book 4, I felt for Blackie in that book he just seemed like the tortured soul in need of tender loving care.

This book deals with some really heavy issues, drug addiction, alcoholism and mental illness.
Being as I am familiar with depression, it was hard reading about how hard these character deal with their own demons. But it’s such a beautiful story you can’t help but want them to pull through all the hard anguish.

This book also connects with the others but if you don’t read them that’s ok because they truly can be read as standalones but I myself am so glad I choose to read them all and got caught up.

Blackie is not only battling his drug addiction, his alcoholism. But he is battling his head but his heart to for the girl he knows he can’t have. But just might be the only person who can help him be the man he has always wanted to be for her. But he has so much grief and guilt; he his head won’t let him be free.

“She is my savior and my assassin.” - Blackie

’Fight
For Her
Stay in the game fight for her.’

Lacey oh how I love this girl, she knew from an early age who she wanted, even if she didn’t know what “it” was. At 10 years old his smile captivated her. At 15 years old his sadness called to her.
She herself is fighting two battles one with her head and one with him. She also tries to get him to see her as more than just his President’s daughter.

Her demons try and break her; her guilt tries to break her. This book broke me! But don’t fear it put me back together too.
It’s a push and pull of their hearts and their souls; it’s as if they are one half of each other’s souls. They are bound to end up together for better or worse. And sometimes you have to get through the worst before you can have the better.

”Wake up and I’ll be yours.” - Lacey

”I am silent. Because in silence there is hope.” - Lacey

I truly have no words to express how much this book has affected me in so many good ways. I want to shout from the roof, READ THIS BOOK. This is one of those books that is going to stay with me for a long time.

I was originally going to wait and write this review tomorrow after I had time to process but this story has been nonstop spinning since I finished.

Lethal Temptations follows the forbidden love story of Blackie, VP of Satans Knights MC and Lacey Parrish, daughter of Satan's Knights MC president and MC Princess. This story is so emotional. We finally learn why Blackie is the dark broken soul he is and how he finds his angel in Lacey.

Leather And Lace

While Lacey struggles with issues of her own, she unconditionally loves Blackie while trying to pull him back from the brink of death.

Very well written touching of sensitive subjects such as substance abuse and mental illness, 5 LETHAL STARS to Janine Infante Bosco for giving me Blackie and his scarred soul

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Blackie is the vice president of the Satan's Knights MC. He has been battling addiction most of his life. After losing his wife, Christine, to an overdose, his life is never the same. Upon her death, he made Christine a promise to kick his drug habit once and for all. So far, he has managed to stay off the drugs, but now his problem is with the bottle. He thinks that if he just gets drunk enough, his pain will go away. Of course, it doesn't. The pain is always waiting for him when he sobers up. For a long time, he didn't have a reason to stay sober. Until Lacey. Lacey is the light in his darkness, but she is fighting her own demons. Can these two overcome their demons together, or will it all be just too much for them?

I really enjoyed this book! It is gritty and raw. It is two broken souls searching for love and peace. I thought that Blackie and Lacey for perfect for one another, and I really wanted them to find their happily ever after. Great book, Janine Infante Bosco!

2.5 Stars.

Wasn't as sad as I was anticipating.
I didn't fall in love with either character.
I felt for them but I wasn't invested.
There was a little too much club stuff and not enough of them together.
Cute epilogue.

Janine Infante Bosco completely blew me away with Lethal Temptations, book 5 of the Tempted series. This book absolutely tore me into pieces before putting me back together again. Bosco weaved a truly heartbreaking and emotional tale with Blackie and Lacey's story, one that will stay with me for a long time. She tells a story of struggle, redemption, forbidden love, and best of all, hope. This wasn't your typical story of two people fighting against the odds. There is forbidden love, and then there is Blackie and Lacey. These two had everything stacked against them, and the journey they took together was tumultuous, yet heartbreakingly beautiful.

"They say everyone has a soulmate. And his broken soul belongs to mine."

This author always does such an amazing job with character development. She doesn't just tell you about her characters, she makes you feel for them, laugh with them, and cry with them. Blackie and Lacey both had personal struggles that they battled in their own way, and I felt for both of them as they tried to push through them. We were given glimpses of Blackie and Lacey in the prior books, but I had no idea how deep both of their inner turmoil ran until I began reading their story. Blackie was a man with a tragic past, someone who struggled immensely and still continues to struggle. His entire existence in consumed with guilt, and he feels that the last thing he deserves is someone as pure and innocent as Lacey. He tries to distance himself from her, believing that he would only taint her goodness by being near her. He punishes himself with the lifestyle he leads, and finds himself disintegrating further with each passing day. Reading about his past and what brought him to the point he is at now was so heart-wrenching. Through all his pain, Lacey was his only source of light.

"When she smiled at me, when she laughed with me, I felt like fighting instead of quitting, living instead of dying."

Lacey completely stole my heart from the first time she was introduced in this series. She had her own demons to fight against, and unlike Blackie, who wore his pain on the surface for the world to see, she hid hers beneath a bright smile and cheerful demeanor. She felt a connection to Blackie that was undeniable, as he was the one person who saw the real her.

"He's the only one in this world who has the power to see me and accept me. He'll take me any way I am. Imperfections and all."

I can't remember the last time I rooted so hard for a couple to make it. The tension between the two of them was so palpable that as the reader, I could feel it. They shared a connection that their circumstances could not break. The two of them were so different, yet so alike, two fractured souls who needed something to make them whole again. The author did a great job in creating a strong bond between Blackie and Lacey, a connection that went beyond the physical into something deeper, more intense. Between that and their scorching hot chemistry, the intimacy between them was absolutely explosive.

"Leather. Lace. Me. Her. A love story no one saw coming but one that was perfect."

Bosco tackled the extremely difficult subjects of addiction and mental illness with accuracy and believability, a feat that is hard for many to accomplish. Through stellar storytelling, she wrote about two people who fought not only for each other but for themselves as individuals. There were so many heartbreaking moments in the story, but there was always the hope that the light would overtake the darkness.

As with the other books in this series, the author created a storyline in Lethal Temptations that was both suspenseful and emotionally captivating. I love the way she balances the action and romance, giving you just enough of each to create the perfect story. The writing was fantastic, leaving me hanging on to every word and wanting more even after reading the final words. This series is an absolute must-read, and I will miss all of these characters so much.

ARC provided by the fabulous author in exchange for my honest review. Thank you, Janine!!

I remember stumbling upon the first book of Janine’s that I read, Pieces.
It was then that I immediately fell head over heels in love with her writing…her characters…her series.
I laughed, I cried (I mean, I BAWLED my damn eyes out), I got angry, I fell in love.

Then, Janine went and decided to give me (well, us as readers) more.
She introduced us to Illicit Temptations, the first book of The Tempted Series.
Not only did I fangirl, I was so ecstatic to feel such a crazy connection with the book.
This was real. This series developed, giving me MORE characters to fall in love with, more sitting-at-the-edge-of-my-seat, more in need for a tall glass of water to cool down after reading some of the hot ass scenes that I just finished reading.

Then it continued.
Book after book of the series, I just kept being amazed and in awe of what was going down.
Each character (from our misunderstood bad boy H’s and our take-shit-from-no-one h’s) pulled out your heartstrings.
Each story captivated and devastated your heart. You got major feels and the emotions that swirl through you sometime made you take a seat back for a reality check.

I am an avid reader. I know the difference between real and not. I know when an author is feeding us farce romance and when they make our minds work for it.

This.
This is what Janine does.
She makes you question every chapter in her books. She makes you second-guess your support of a developing relationship (do it…don’t do it…wait, f**k it, JUST DO IT!!).
I mean, I have been through it all throughout both series!!

Michael & Nikki…
Anthony & Adrianna…
Jack & Reina…
Riggs & Lauren….(yes, I play favorites and these two were my heart).

I was ready, then not ready for the next two…Leather & Lace…Blackie & Lacey…

Their story tap-danced on my heart. At one point, I felt my heart physically ache for them.
I wish I could put my arms through my e-reader and physically hug Blackie.
I wish I could physically be there to help Lacey see that everything she felt and saw was not all in her head.

This story was so beautifully woven together, carefully crafted and delivered with love. Chockfull of curses, realistic illnesses and addictions, conquerors of true love…I mean, there is no way in HELL you won’t find yourself engrossed from page 1.

I want to quote so hard right now in the review, because there were so MUCH material provided that made you say “damn”! But, I’ll save them for after the release date. 

And my heart kind of hurt a little when I started to think...is this it? Am I not getting more the Pastore’s & Satan’s Knights MC???!

But, it’s always crucial to read a book from the first to last page – always.
Because there is a BANGER coming our way (for those that have been on the up-and-up of this series)!!!!

It’s not over just yet.

"You can plan your whole f***ing life, but it just takes one thing to change the course you're on...and sometimes you think it's the end, but the end of something is the beginning of something else."

Lethal Temptations is book five In the Tempted Series by Janine Infante Bosco. it is an MC romance and can be read as a standalone.

"That was the night I claimed her. In my dark world of self-destruction and mayhem, I selfishly took Lacey, branded her mind, and I continued to brand her and mark her with my actions and my words."

Blackie and Lacy have had a brewing and forbidden romance for some time. They are both flames easily ignited, and when they come together they burn down anything in their path. Both of them have so much to gain and lose in one another, fighting to find themselves and keep out the dark.
"This world needs you in it Lace, you make it beautiful. You're the light that makes a man want to crawl out of the darkness he worships."

I have absolutely LOVED this MC series by Author Janine Infante Bosco. I knew from seeing Blackie in previous books that his story was likely to cut me deep. However, I never imagined that the deepest gash on my heart would be a result of Lacey's secrets and inner demons. Her fight was constant and without reprieve; I had no idea. Her struggle intensified in reds, grays, and blacks, fading out the light of her own existence. It was overwhelmingly intense. Just as profound was the struggle that Blackie had as he wrestled his past, trying desperately to find hope for the future. In the midst of a bruised but beautiful love story, Author Janine Infante Bosco gave a parent's perspective on watching as your child grows up and comes into their own. It was a side of Jack Parrish I had not fully seen and showed his love and vulnerability for his daughter. This ride with Satan's Knights was emotionally propelled, but gave the sweetest victory and a great escape into their MC world.

Bosco is a new to me author and I was curious about her MC series. This book was about Blackie and Lace aka Leather and Lace. The story had a lot of action and drama but I felt it over shadowed the romance between Lace and Leather. I didn't feel their connection until the end of the book. The story was good but I needed more romance. The writing was very good and the storyline held my interest.Being around MC's, I can tell Bosco did her research on the lifestyle. I also like that it touched on drug addiction and mental illness as well. Seeing Lace suffer in silence because she didn't want the stigma associated with mental illness was sad. They both had a lot of obstacles to over come and I was glad they could do it together. I will be checking out more books from this author!

I absolutely LOVED this book! Janine Infante Bosco is AMAZING! Her work is absolutely incredible. This story deals with drug addiction, alcoholism and manic depression. Blackie and Lacey. Leather and Lace. He's the VP of the Satan's Knight's and she's the president's daughter. They aren't supposed to be together. They aren't supposed to fall in love. This story is just incredible. The character development is amazing. You can't help but feel their pain. This book will tear you apart, but it will put you back together again too. I'm so glad I read this book, and you will be too. Grab your copy today.

All of us would love a rewrite on certain aspects of our lives.
Have a do over.
Change a regret.

Some of us have that chance but many do not. But there is always a lesson learned.

Blackie and Lacey are striving for that rewrite. Two damaged souls, in different ways, who just want to be together.

Blackish is the VP of his MC and has had so much blood on his hands but the one he regrets the most is one that was close to him, his deceased wife. As any member of a kick ass biker club, he has seen his fair share of the life, a life that lead him to darkness. His escape, drugs and drink.
His one light, his angel, Lacey. Someone whom he wants but feels undeserving.

Leather and Lace.

Lacey. The President's daughter. The one not to be touched. A soul who is fighting her maker from the darkness and her light is Blackie. What started out as a simple crush that turned into love.

Him and her.

A special song bonds them in a way neither thought imaginable. Giving them a glimpse of what makes them. Drives them. Makes them love. Brings them home. Home is not always a building but a heartbeat. You can hear their heartbeats so loud.

Of course there is some club drama, rival gangs stepping in their way. Causing chaos through this hidden affair. The main goal is to keep her safe. Whatever that may take. And it truly pushes Blackie to his limits. Go above and beyond. The only true person standing in his wha is Bulldog, Lacey's father. Of course there are fillers I'm not filling you in on. Naturally!

This book ties in with the others and we get to see a forbidden love blossom in an unconventional way.

I'm a sucker for MC books and I like when there is a rugged man who oozes pure man (their dirty talk is seeing worthy) and then falling for a lady that makes their world spin off course and the realization of what they have.

Enjoy this gritty, rugged, rewrite of a ride!

The Tempted series had me on the edge again with its newest book, Lethal Temptations. In this book, we get Blackie's story.

Blackie is not just any member of the Knights MC family. He's the VP and the President Bulldog's right hand man. He's had his problems with drugs, but the loss of his wife has kept him clean for years -- all until a business deal gone wrong sends him spiraling back down into a haze of drugs. On his way down, he makes an incredibly bad decision. He sleeps with the one woman who's off-limits to him: Bulldog's daughter. One time with Lacey just isn't enough. She's like the drugs he can't quite quit.

Lacey may still be a virgin, but she's all grown up now. And what she wants more than anything is Blackie. He may be a couple of decades older than her and her dad's best friends, but he's the one who makes her world better. He makes her happy. She's willing to do anything to have him, even if it means hiding her relationship from her father.

Janine Bosco Infante sets up her stories in a very cool way. I always love how she lays out her plot for the reader. Rather than just another biker love story, you get a look into the Knights MC's inner workings. Equal time is spent on both the romance and what's going on with the gang. It makes the story so intense and fun to read.

Blackie was a very interesting character. His demons ran deep and he had a very hard time dealing with them. He also had a ton of guilt he held onto over his dead wife, Bulldog and Lacey. The guilt helped feed his addiction. It made me sad to see how much he let drugs take over his life. Without them, he was such a nice guy. He would have done anything to protect Lacey. I loved reading about him and all of his experiences.

Lacey, on the other hand, wasn't my favorite character. I think it was her self talk. I know it was supposed to help the reader to understand her mental health issues, but it fell a little flat for me. I couldn't stand how she referred to "her maker". I do have to applaud Infante Bosco for doing a great job dealing with depression, drugs and mental illness in her story.

Even though Lacey wasn't my favorite character, I did like her relationship with Blackie. They truly brought out the best in each other. And, dang!, the sex was hot! Their relationship made for a very entertaining plot.

I would recommend Lethal Temptations to readers who like a romance with a lot of intensity and don’t mind violence.

Leather & Lace... Temptations... Addictions... Forbidden Love... Lethal Temptations is the 5th book in the Tempted series by Janine Infante Bosco. Set over the timeline of the past two novels in the series and going beyond, Lethal can be read as a standalone but it would be better enjoyed if read in series order.

Dominic "Blackie" Petra, vice president of Satan’s Knights MC, has demons following him we can only dream of in our worst nightmares. Haunted by the loss of his wife, addictions to numb the pain and tormented by the idea of bringing someone else into his hell hole of pain, Blackie has isolated himself even from his brotherhood. His light, an angel, someone who's always been around and loved him even at his lowest but does he see her? Lacey Parrish, daughter of Satan's Knights president, might be young in age (19) but has felt a lifetime of pain and torment. Fallen in love with a man much older than her, unattainable, and broken now all she can hope is he see's her for who she really is. Darken by her own demons can Lacey hold them at bay to bring them both into the light?

I've been addicted to this series since the start and I've been waiting for this book for what feels like ages. Leather & Lace. Blackie & Lacey's story is heartbreaking, soul searching and emotional ride that I knew would break me. Lethal Temptations not only broke me but also rebuilt me, piece by shattered piece. A knight and an Angel. A tragic love story with light at the end of the road. Janine is amazing at what she does and this felt like a master piece. Thank you for bring us these characters and this story. By far Lethal Temptations one of my favorite books of 2016. 5 Massive Stars...

This is an amazing series and I suggest that you read the initial book (Illicit Temptation) for a limpid vision of this author plot(s). She have maneuver each story to intertwine with subtle  precision where two lost, damaged, restless soul seeking an outlet from past pain(demons). Dominic "Blackie" Petra is the vice-president of the Satan's Knight MC lost his wife (Christine) to an overdose of drugs and took her death as his responsibility due to his addiction. Lacey Parrish is the daughter of Jack " Bulldog" Parrish, president to the Satan's Knight MC and his past was presented in the previous book of his dilapidated mind set and due to his action, Blackie was the baby-sitter of Lacey. She always has a crush on Blackie and was forbidden fruit to the MC group but line was crossed and emotions was high. However, as in any relationship blooming amidst the fictional biker lifestyle, there's always that fear that the biker can not be tamed... and the female counterpart will end up emotionally shattered especially since she is fighting her own demons (her brother death). And I love that. I love that angst, that uncertainty, the potential for pain. Janine delivers everything I love in this story, and hits it home even harder than she has previously. The story is utterly unpredictable, which made for a reading journey the likes of which we've not seen before in this series. I will not ruin your reading pleasure with telling the dangerous and intensified part but know that when the ending came I thought it was well played out and written well. Overall, it's an amazing story!!!! Pick up this book! It is a quick and easy read, but I guarantee it will be well worth your time and effort.

"Two imperfect people. Perfectly suited for each other."

I really enjoyed this installment of the Satan's Knights saga. Blackie and Lacey's journey was certainly something to behold. They struggled against so many odds, I wasn't sure if I would make it out alive, let alone them.

Their forbidden romance was edgy and raw, just like the characters themselves. Both Blackie and Lacey had to fight their inner demons in order to really give the relationship a chance. There were moments I really believed it wouldn't happen. I worried for both of their health - mental and physical - as they battled against everything and everyone that threatened them.

These two characters are so freaking deep, it cuts me. Their inner turmoil is downright depressing at times, but don't worry, while Janine drags you down into depths unknown, she always gives you a breath of fresh air to keep you going. If you could see the roller-coaster track for this book, I'm pretty sure some of the track is underground, it's so deep. However, the highs, lordy those highs are amazing. Actually, the lows are too - a testament to Janine's talent.

I'm gonna say, there were a few scenes I skimmed. It was the third time for a couple of them, and other than wanting an idea of how this particular character felt during the moment, I'm not the type of reader that finds re-visiting things easy. And the theme was repeated more than once, and that distracts me from the story. I'm an ADD reader, so this probably won't really apply to most of you.

When it comes down to it, Lethal Temptations is a beautifully written, deeply moving journey of two broken people that just need each other to heal.

Oh, how I adore this series! It brings me life, seriously!
I wanted to get my hands on Blackie since he was in Jack's book, and I just got a hint about his life! I was hooked! His story was so heartbreaking, all of his demons piling up for years, no hope, and no will to live - 'till one little woman, showed him the light, and changed everything. So beautiful, only if it was so simple! I loved his struggle (his life, former experiences, forbidden side o their relationship), it was all real here. And I truly fell hard for this broken, beautiful men.

I was afraid, that I won't like Lacey - the biker princess. But oh, how wrong was I? I adored her from the first pages. I wasn't expecting so much depth in her. I wasn't expecting so much demons of her own, that she very hard, and very skillfully tried to hide from everyone. She was a true heroine of this story, fighting hard for her love, and for herself.

As always the plot was crazy, and I enjoyed it very much. I loved all the glimpses into all the characters (Crazy Wolf and Pipe with his orderd-Ukrainian bride were so endearing), visitng with Jack and Raina also made me happy. And I already love all the Nomad guys! I can't wait for their books (where shoud I send my firstborn to get my hands on Stryker fast?)

Janine Infante Bosco with her series became my go-to author if I need to laugh, and cry, and get my "feels" fix! That was a beautiful and wonderful read! I definetly can't wait for the last book in Tempted series!

Thank you so very much Ms.Bosco for sending me a copy of Lethal Temptations!! I am so very honored and grateful that you allowed me to Read and Review a copy of your book!! You made my week!! :)

Even though this was the first book that I've read in The Tempted Series i didn't feel lost whatsoever but it made me want to pick up the others because of all the fantastic characters! I liked that at the beginning Ms.Bosco really said what this story was all about and how it might not be everyone's cup of tea. My heart broke a lot while reading and i got angry at times but i pushed on through and i am so happy that i did! This is a story of hope and how things in life can be extra painful at times. It was realistic and nothing was held back which was so very refreshing. In my opinion the brutal honesty and the struggles that both of the main characters went through made the book that more enjoyable. Ms.Bosco really tugged on my heart strings and i seriously hated when the story ended.

Lacey Parrish and Blackie were two characters that had their own demons they faced daily. Their relationship wasn't easy nor was it always beautiful but it was raw and real which in my eyes is all that matters. I could've hit Blackie a few times for some of things that he did but i swear i couldn't bring myself to hate him or dislike him. Life can be so difficult at times and some of things that Lacey dealt with in hers absolutely tore me to shreds

This one had a slow start for me but once it picks up you won’t want to put it down! I’ve not read any of the previous books in the series but I felt this was fine as a stand-alone.

Blackie is a drug addict who stopped doing the “hard stuff” when he found his wife dead from OD’ing on heroin. Now, he’s been 5 years without shooting up only to be thrown back into all when trying to catch the man responsible for the drugs his wife OD’d on. On top of that Blackie has been in love with his President’s daughter, Lacey, for a while and when she gives him her innocence he pushes her away, not believing he’s good enough for her. Lacey is dealing with her own angst after having watched her 5 year old brother run over and killed right in front of her years prior. The guilt has been something she’s never gotten past and it’s slowly killing her. She’s loved Blackie for as long as she can remember and she’s heart-broken when Blackie pushes her away after sleeping with her.

I really loved Lacey and Blackie together, the author does such a fantastic job writing their story that you’re really rooting for them by the end. The characters are well developed and the story has a great plotline. I did find the first couple of chapters difficult to get into but once you make it about 20% in it’s a real page turner. I look forward to reading more from this author!

I have been so anxious to finally get Blackie and Lacey's story! I could tell from the previous books that this one was going to be an emotional roller coaster. And it was.

Blackie has such a sad background that my heart breaks for him. I could always physically feel his pain and also the guilt that he feels. His love for Lacey is so real and honest that it made me want to read this story fast because I needed to know that he was going to finally get his HEA.

"Because when she smiled at me, when she laughed with me, I felt like fighting instead of quitting, living instead of dying."

Lacey has always intrigued me since we first met her. I was always curious how losing her brother in such a tragic way would affect her as an adult. Lace was such a strong woman who loved with her whole heart but was also dealing with an issue that she tried to keep hidden.

"She makes broken look beautiful and strong look invincible."

I have to be honest and say my absolute favorite parts of this book were the chapters with Lacey and her dad. It was so beautifully written that I could feel the emotions pouring from these two.

I really enjoyed this book in the series. I loved how Janine was able to make me feel so many different emotions, not only with the two main characters but also with some of the past characters. Another great addition to the Tempted Series.

Five Amazing Stars! Lacey has a secret that most people don't understand, she has days where she is high and days where she is low. Lacey has kept her true self hidden until she meets Blackie, he understands her like no one else. Blackie has been battling addiction for most of his life switching from drugs to alcohol. He is constantly trying to drown out the pain until he meets Lacey, she is the light to his darkness. Will Blackie and Lacey be able to overcome there demons or will it be too much for them to overcome? This story is both heartbreaking and heartwarming, you feel everything the characters are feeling as they go through their journey. Ms. Bosco does a fantastic job writing this story, she tackles two difficult subjects and does it with accuracy and believability. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and characters. it is one that will stay with me for a long while. I highly recommend this story!

5 STAR REVIEW!

I will never think of Leather and Lace the same way again. This may be my favorite book of Janine's because I instantly fell in love with Blackie and Lacey. Their love for each other was so forbidden and that just added onto the angst and need for them to get together. Lacey is the daughter of the MC Pres. She has been around Blackie almost her whole life. She was there at his highest and his lowest, but even after all these years, she cannot stop the feelings that she has for him. Blackie knows that he has to stay away from Lacey. She is the forbidden fruit that he is not to touch, but what happens when he finally gives into Lacey, something horrible happens that rips these two apart. During this separation, Blackie has to find something that makes him look forward to living and that is Leather and Lace. I sped through this book and could not put it down! I NEEDED to know what was going to happen next with these two because they kept me on the edge of my seat! I think I finally have my favorite, so don't tempt me with anymore men, Janine!

4 out of 5 stars.

I enjoyed this book, although i didn't enjoy it as much as reading Uncontrollable Temptations (Book 3) - but thats more of a personal choice rather than it having anything to do with the writing etc..
I think you definitely have to read Book 3 to get the background on the two characters involved in this book. Lacey and Blackie.

Lacey is the daughter of the Bulldog Parrish the president of the Satan Knights MC and Blackie is the VP.
He has seen Lacey grow up, and had to look after her when her dad went away...

This book deals a lot with sensitive issues...drugs, manic disorder...its a dark read...

Its definitely a book NOT to overlook...and i would suggest reading from the beginning (which is something i have to do also) to get a background of the other characters.

Well done Janine another great book. Keep them coming

I wrote a review for the first book in this series. It was a two star rating because I felt the story failed to really hook me like I would have wanted. Also, I said the authors writing was lacking.

After reading this entire series, I am so glad I didn't give up on this author and her stories. They were some of the most engaging and thought-provoking books I have read to date. She tells a story that not only makes you fall in love with the characters, but makes you really feel for them as well.

I'll say it again, I am so glad I stuck with this series. I cannot wait for the final chapter!

This is the first book i have read from this author. All I can say is WELL DONE!!!! This was a book that wasn't fluffy, like alot of MC books are. This was real, raw, brutal and heartwarming at the same time. Truths can be ugly, horrible and filled with no hope, yet this author brings you a read, which keeps you on the edge of your seat. The hope that can turn into a reality , even when you are coming from the darkest spots. I connected with the characters, because we all have demons we deal with. This was well written and I will read this authors other books because of this book.

Loved this book! Janine did it again!! Heartbreak. Addiction. Finding their way back to love. Janine nailed it with this book. Jack might not have planned for his daughter to fall in love with Blackie, but the heart knows what it wants. Lacey's story..not letting her maker win, and Jack realizing finally what Lacey was going through. Man the emotions were all over with this one! Absolutely loved this story!!!!
