This was a fun, entertaining tale of touring Rio de Janeiro with a yellow umbrella toting elephant as a tour guide. I have to admit after reading about the wonderful sites and things to do in Rio, this elephant has me wanting to take a trip there.

The story is exciting and good for a couple laughs. The images are breathtaking, almost as exciting as the real thing. Overall a wonderful story kids and most adults will enjoy. A great way to prepare and teach kids about other places. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Loved it!

Felt totally immersed and transported to Rio. I lent my copy to a school and the 3rd grade class read it and loved it. I hope there are more Yellow Umbrella books to come! Great job!

Mr Elephant stands out because of his yellow umbrella not because he is an elephant. He guides us though the famous sites in Rio. Great illustrations and a cute story. I received a copy through Good Reads First Reads.

A really nice, beautifully illustrated, well thought through, well written, interesting, modern children's book. I love the concept of an elephant tour guide! A great addition to the library.

I won this book through goodreads. It's a very cute story with wonderful illustrations! A nice introduction for children, to other countries, customs and languages. Looking forward to reading more in this series by Janie Dullard!
