Taming Skye

Any way you want to saddle that horse, there’s bound to be trouble when two men are vying for the same woman, especially when the woman is a beautiful, hot tempered force to be reckoned with. So when Skye Donovan’s Irish temper collides with Clint Walker’s western male dominance, the heat they generate (both in and out of bed) could well explain global warming. Fortunately, for the world, Jake Emerson (Skye’s fiancé) is there to temper their flames of passion with an old fashion case of blackmail. And while Skye is working hard to turn her lifelong dream into a reality, Clint is working hard to uncover Jake’s blackmail scheme, thereby freeing Skye … so he can snatch her up for himself. Because much to the dismay of all the single girls in Cheyenne, Wyoming, their most eligible bachelor has finally found his “number ten” … the woman he intends to marry. But even if he is able to debunk Jake’s blackmailing scheme and set Skye free, will he be able to tame her nasty little temper and make her his wife? (Does the word delusional mean anything here?) Taming Skye is a delightfully entertaining novel, with compelling characters, sweet, sensuous romance and loads of humor.

About the Author
Wanderlust, could best describe Elizabeth Parker's life. The joy of meeting new people, the adventure of visiting new places, feeds her inner hunger.

"There's a big, wide, wonderful world out there just waiting to be enjoyed," she says. "And I want to see and touch as much of it as possible on this journey through life!"

It's this love for people and adventure that led her into the world of romance writing. Whenever physical travel is not possible, Elizabeth grabs pen and paper and off she goes into worlds inhabited by her characters and limited only by her imagination.

Although she was born in the South, she feels a deep kinship with the people who live in the western United States. So it's no surprise that the setting for her novels are often in Montana, Wyoming, Colorado or Texas. "I just love a strong, handsome, man's-man," she says with a grin. "And out west, you don't have to search far to find one."

"But regardless of where you live," she goes on to explain. "Love and the need for love, is infinite in of each of us. Without it, life is pretty flat. It's that non-explainable chemistry - that love between a man and a woman - that lifts us out of the bog and carries us to higher planes."

"In my writing," she concludes. "I strive to create strong, handsome men and pair them up with beautiful, feisty women."

I just can't believe a full grown man - a cowboy! would emote as much as Clint the H did in this book. He was love sick to a point I could hardly finish the book. The rest of the characters were okay. except his ex girlfriend was too forgiving and understanding.
