A somewhat lackluster take on the traditional children's rhyme. Saburi's art is fine, but doesn't seem up to her usual standard. A short musical accompaniment on CD is included; it is fine.

Sweet images showing various individuals longing for sunlight and a change in the weather so that they can play outdoors accompany this familiar song. Youngsters will enjoy saying the words and singing along with the CD that comes with the book. I appreciate this publisher's efforts to make sure certain nursery rhymes and songs won't be forgotten and using that musical connection that might help them remember the words as well as the sentiment.
