Ryan and Lily are safe on their island in the middle of Lake Windermere. At least that's what they thought. When the people from a neighbouring safe place don't show up as expected, all they have built comes under threat.
With enemies from beyond their island and growing pressures within, they will need to fight just to survive while coping with burdens that may well tear them apart.
The latest book in the Killing the Dead series, this marks the start of a new adventure and can be read as a standalone series without needing to read season one first.
I started reading these in 2015 and have just found season 2! So far I've loved them all and will see it out to the end. Great characters and storylines, believable characters too.
I have read a lot of post apocalyptic books over the year's. Very few have kept me awake at night in wanting to read to the end of the book. I have totally enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading the books in this series.
I don't agree the author in that you can read this book stand alone without to read the first series, I think you do. I had to refer back to the other books for characters I had forgotten and if I couldn't have looked back they would just have been so bunch of nobodies. Even the love between Lily and ryan has to be explained I feel. Apart from that a really good story with a lot more to come!#
When you think there safe ans could make a home for them selves, then it all changes and your hooked straight away! Fast paced as always! Highly recommended.
