I'm sorry to be a braggy cunt, but yes, I already got my grabby hands on this. To be fair, I did request this book be written about five seconds after meeting Brad in Shuttergirl so it's only fair. I'm still all swoony and smiley and a little flushed and I'm sorry you have to wait until May 1st but you do & it will be so worth it.

Such a lovely, lovely read. I swooned and smiled and loved the characters of this sweet, sweet, beautiful swoon worthy romance about a Hollywood superstar and his unassuming Nanny. Brad Sinclair becomes a newly single father when he discovers a Bombshell in the form of his 5-year-old daughter. With literally no clue of how to care for the child his first task and the opening gambit of this story is to find a suitable Nanny for Nicole a character instrumental in the sweet and lovely factor of thi

Absolutely excellent. I wasn't even planning on reading this book because I'm not really into heroes that are Hollywood stars! But I got an early copy and I thought I would take a peek at it, and that peek turned into the ENTIRE book read in a day(ish)! It's amazing. Also, have I mentioned how impeccable C.D. Reiss writes in previous reviews? If not, I have to say it again. There is NO ONE who writes quite like her. It's so crisp and fluid and dire

Someone needs to buy the movie rights to this book and hire Ryan Reynolds, like, yesterday. Maybe Ryan is a bit too old now, but that’s just minor details. Funny, sexy, snarky: all the words ending in “Y” to describe a good book. It was fast paced and kept me reading 'til the wee hours.
Honestly speaking, I don’t think CD Reiss can do any wrong at this point in her writing career. Every new book is better, smarter, and more in-depth than the one before it. Never losing the

Even so I have read other nanny-employer books – Bombshell (Hollywood A-List #1) by C.D. Reiss tackled the trope in a very refreshing way.

L.A., celebrities, nannies – the topic is as real as the book depicts it. Trust me I speak from experience. It’s as over the top, as extravagant and as ludicrous as described. I think that’s why I had SO MUCH FUN reading this book. Because it was so entirely true.

    Bombshell had me cracking up!!!

I tried. Even after realizing as early as the 5% mark that this was so far from what I had loved about Reiss from MARRIAGE GAMES, I continued on. Yes, it's a different genre (sorta, erotica vs BDSM), different set-up, completely different circumstances, but surely that same emotional intensity would be present even if the players were not remotely similar?

Brad Sinclair is the typical Hollywood bad boy actor. He's earned his money and has no intention of settling down. So, when he finds out he has a 5-year old daughter, and her mother just died, his life becomes a whole new world. Of course, what does any rich actor do but hire a nanny. Enter Cara. She was strictly professional and would not become a headline in some gossip rag (or would she?). Brad needs to step up his game and decide what is really important in his life.

CD REISS has gone heart-warmingly sweet with Bombshell. Little did I know the queen of erotica can also write some enjoyable contemporary romance! Take a rakish party-animal famous actor, throw in a sweet nanny hell-bent on not f@cking 'the dad,' and add a darling, too-smart-for-her-own-good 5-year old, and you've got yourself a great cast of characters that'll keep you turning the pages!

I did that thing again where I start a book around the midnight hour and then forget how quickly time is passing as I'm pulled into a story. Knowing how excited I was for this book, I should've known this was highly likely to happen, but I didn't put down the book or go to sleep until after I'd finished the book at 2:30 AM. And chances are you're thinking,"Talk about the book already woman!", but I haven't had coffee yet and my brain isn't firing on all synapses yet.

Please can Cara have her own tv programme? Sod Super Nanny. Sod Mary Poppins. Cara DuMont is the oracle. She understands kids from poop to pigtails. Total genius at how to calm a five year old who is confused and super sad.

This book isn't about the romance between Cara and Brad. Nope! It is the romance between Brad and his unplanned, unknown daughter Nicole; his perfect little Bombshell. And between Cara and Nicole. And this perfect little cherub of a girl loving, without question her daddy and

I love single parent romances, however the whole celebrity romance subgenre isn't one I read a lot of, but I wanted to give this one a try anyways. I am so glad I did because I loved it! For me Nicole stole the show, she was just the cutest and smartest little girl, and she made me smile a lot. I loved that the author didn't automatically change Brad into the father of the year. He had a lot of issues he had to handle, and that made h

This was a new to me author and Bombshell really surprised me. It had a slow burn, the characters felt real, and there was a lot of emphasis on family (found families, what being a family means, etc). I appreciated the portrayal of all the different women and how there wasn't the singular "bitchy" villainous woman that often shows up in romances.

My only complaints were that I was confused at times in the beginning. There seem to be references to things that I may have missed and, at times, I ha

A lovely, light, easy romance. No angst, no intentional lies or deceit (ok, a little deceit, but all with good intentions). The story follows nanny/consultant to LA's rich and famous, Cara DuMont, who never ever, gets involved with her charges' fathers, no matter how good looking, suave or persistent they are. She's all about the children. Of course that all changes when she consults with Hollywood Bad Boy, Brad Sinclair, he's just too delicious for words. To be fair to Cara, I would have caved ...more
