Ice fills my soul. Nothing matters to me but my brothers. I'd kill for them. Every deathchips away at the hint of humanity still clinging to me. And when the day comes to pay for my misdeeds....I don't think about that... Until then I will bask inmy transgressions allowing the passion of my chaos to keep me warm. I'm the thing you fear when darkness surrounds you. If you're in my cross-hairs, you're as good as dead. My name is Fionn O'Shea. Death is all that matters...Until...her.She alone fills the gaps in my soul, returns my humanity. By protecting her, perhaps some part of me will be redeemable when I must answer for my sins. She brings order to my chaos, keeps me warm when the ice threatens to over take me.If you threaten her, you'll pray for the monsters in the dark to take you. But they won't. I'll bring your pain. I'll bring your suffering.  I'll live for nothing else...  This contemporary, interracial romance is filled with sex and just enough violence to tickle your fancy. Fionn is a gangster and a killer. His character reflects that. While Fionn and LeeAnn may not have a conventional love, they still love hard. Just like they kill. And, oh, what a time they have...   There are four stories in the Irish Sugar series. The reader experience will be enhanced by reading all four stories; however each of them are standalone novellas and can be enjoyed separately and can be read in any order. Enjoy!  **Contemporary, Interracial, BWWM Romance. Crime / Suspense Romance, Alpha Male Romance. HEA**

Erotic romance author by night, emergency room tech/clerk by day, Marteeka Karland works really hard to drive everyone in her life completely and totally nuts. Fionn O'Shea, enforcer and avenging angel to his brothers, Conall, Shannon and Kieran O'Shea. He killed with a heart as cold as ice but when he abducted LeeAnn at Shannon's request something changes and he realizes he needs her to bring warmth and love into his lonely life while 'shading' some of that coldness and darkness.

Before LeAnn, Fionn paid handsomely for paid women to get rid of some of this tension but the connection was never memorable until nerdy, LeAnn walked, well kidnapped her and placed in his bed with the drug, Ketamine! Fionn was then different but whole and Leanne really used her studies (academics) in it's place but big and dangerous Fionn gave her the missing link to her life as well.

Opposites really did attracts in "Fionn (Irish Sugar)."

I loved Fionn and Leanne coupling in this series

4.5 memorable and will read again stars ****.5

Fionn is Fine!nnn

Fionn was the epitome of a cold blooded killer. He had no emotional ties to any woman and no children. He was only connected to his brothers. He killed and kept it moving. His heart was hardened and had no sympathy for anyone. Paddy, his dad, made sure of it.

LeeAnn was a nerd of the highest order. She was clueless about men and her step father. Her world was her books. Every now and again, she would go out and let her hair down. On this night she met Fionn and nothing for either one of them would ever be the same again.

Buy your copy and find out what happens to this couple. Great job Marteeka.

When it comes to kidnapped sex I'm not usually a lover of it. Anytime a person possess/enforces some type of dominance over you in an unbalanced way I don't kindly to that. In Fionn (Irish Sugar) it was a bit better than some of the previous novels I've read.

Fionn is basically a living Grim Reaper; Ice flows through his veins and it doesn't as though it'll ever defrost. He's an enforcer. He's dangerous. That is until he kidnaps LeeAnn, who's a rather innocent, smart girl caught between two webs of injustice.

While holding her captive Fionn realizes he's the one being held captive, as his heart begins to melt. LeeAnn also starts to feel for him and soon their love blazes through the pages.

The biggest issue I had with this book was the page length.

When writing a story where you're dealing with a subject such as kidnapping it needs to be fully developed, not to mention when you have douchy male leads (I'm not saying I didn't like him, calm your pants) that we need time to warm up to it's best to do so. There's also abducted sex waaaaay too soon. No matter how I looked at it I just couldn't get around how quickly everything happened, however this is an effect of the book being too short.

I did enjoy what Markeeta Karland attempted to accomplish but it fell short for me.

While it enjoyed the quick read about Fionn and LeeAnn, this self published story needed much better editing. Written by a different author than the other three books in this series, this story seemed to lack some of the depth as the two others I have read thus far. While I love to support indie work, when they are not properly and professionally presented that takes away from the story.

This Fionn and LeeAnn's story. Another short intense story of an O'Shea brother.

I love that LeeAnn was able to fill up the empty spaces in Fionn's life that her genuine humanity reached out and touched the dark places in him.

I enjoyed this story.

Fionn & LeeAnn are 🔥🔥🔥

Fionn & LeeAnn are polar opposites and if not for the bad choices of her evil stepdad, they would probably never enter into each other's orbit. He is a 💯 alpha enforcer who unalives enemies without mercy or remorse...she is an academic , laser focused on her aeronautics PhD research! They meet when he kidnaps her as leverage against her stepdad & sparks fly💫They actually matched quite well, filling the empty spots & broken pieces in their lives, bringing joy, peace & love to each other ! I'm so happy for them 🍷

Okay read, I was really looking forward to reading this one to see just what Fionn was all about but it was little there. The relationship between him and LeeAnn was all right but nothing to really believe the two would last. I hated the outcome with her father, I think it would’ve been better if he actually cared for her and Bart was forced to change sides are something. It just seemed too convenient for the situation. In all good read just not much to really grab hold to in these though.

Fast series

This book is the only one I have read in the series. I don’t think I need to read anymore in order to get the gist....horrible father, band of brothers, insta love ❤️. This love connection was made with almost no time from the drugging, kidnapping to the full frontal onslaught. At least the two characters were entertaining😁. I might read Reana Malori’s entry....for some reason her book in the Irish Sugar series is free....I should have started there....

Fabulous Re-Read

Glad I re-read this 10/09/24, so that I finally remembered to leave a review. Leeann was very fortunate to be taken by Fionn, there being together was explosive and the making of a great relationship. The side part to me, Leeann finding out her stepfather never cared for her. But this was a very great read.

Fionn and LeeAnn

The book is actually good, a new author I'll be adding to my rotation. I think proof reading to avoid some errors like the epilogue being on repeat but like I said an author worth reading.

Of all the brothers, Fionn is my favorite. I really liked reading about him and visualizing his struggle with being a 'bad-ass bad dude' that falls for the smart but not so worldly smart lady he has to kidnap. Like the other books about the brothers, everything happens really fast but it was an enjoyable read that I would recommend for anyone looking for a nice quick read.

Loved this series!

Fionn and LeeAnn were a really hot couple. Their story was a strange Stockholm Syndrome kind of romance, you know falling for the person who kidnapped you, but it was good and a really nice rap up to this series, which I love by the way,it was really good.
