Sweet cupcakes, this series was everything. As mentioned before, it could use more laughs, but it stayed consistent with its tone and I respect that.
I'm WILDLY ATTRACTED to Dominique. Why is that conservative politician so swoon-worthy to me? I would re-read her scenes out of sheer need, even the unhappy ones. Harper Bliss knows her way around a saucy character.
As this last season started, it'd been on the verge of getting less stars because it was soooo angsty. Dominique and Steph (the best couple ever) were having too many problems and not enough sex.
In fact, this third section could've used more sex. That's part of French Kissing's charm: drama and erotic interludes. Without the sexy, they're a bunch of depressing lesbians. Except for Dominique because I'm irrationally protective of her and her flaws.
The fight between Juliette and Claire took a toll on even me, but OMG the gift that helped fixed their friendship was PERFECT. My heart sang for that moment. Nadia is such a gem and possibly the glue that held this crew of drama queens together. She has the hottest bed talk, too. Whew.
Sybille made a short appearance, which was eyerollish. I do have unresolved questions for her: I digress. I'll miss that fail little minx.
Marion was cool and I'm happy Steph didn't sleep with her. lol
Idk how I feel about Marie Dievart.

Oh, yeah...Margot. She implied something strange: Margot would never know for certain if she’d been lucky to have been adopted as a baby, but taking into account what she knew about her birth country, she could have an educated guess. Therefore, Margot had always counted herself lucky.
Um, what? Her country of origin is S. Korea and that place is cool as hell...what a weird way to view it. Ugh, Margot was a useful part of their team (I suppose), but I couldn't get into her from the beginning. It happens.
The ending had my heart a-flutter and I wish these characters well! Now, I have post-reading blues. I'll miss this dysfunctional crew of (mostly) femmes in Paris. Five stars for all three seasons.

So happy and sad to see this series come to an end. There was a crap load of drama (L Word would be jealous), great sex, and long lasting and complicated relationships and friendships.
I truly loved that everyone's story arcs wrapped up but not to the point where the whole future was written out for them. You just finish the story with a lot of hope for all of the characters and their relationships.
I can't really say anything about this story without it being spoiler riddled for anyone who hasn't read the series yet. But I will say that if you enjoy a story with lots of lesbian drama, and just as much lesbian love, you should read this series. There are overwhelming undercurrents of what it means to be human and to make mistakes. What it's like to accept the person you love for who they are, without trying to change them or their ideals. And what it means to truly be a friend and care for one another.
Harper truly does have a way of tapping into emotions we all know and are quite familiar with, and she brings that to life in this series. There wasn't one character that I didn't hate at one time and love the next. But then again, that's life, and that's people. You can love someone, and not love what they do. And you can love what someone does, but not love them as a person. I also felt like there were many things that were easy to be empathetic over. We've all hurt someone emotionally to the point we didn't think they, or ourselves, would come back from it. We've all lied, thinking it was the best solution. And we've all lied at some point to save our own skins.
The only other things I'll add is that I thought it was odd to add in the final bout of drama with Steph and her connection to Le Noir (I can't remember the exact name and spelling of the sex club she often frequented). Being that nothing ever came of it. I also would've liked to have seen more of a conclusion with Dievart. But those are just minor things and didn't detract from the conclusion of the story and how much I enjoyed.

What a worthy entry in the series and I loved how the Margot/Claire and Nadia/Juliette storylines were wrapped up!
On to season 4, where I'm so excited to have more of Steph and Dominque, who are my favourite of all of Harper Bliss's couples.

This series is just so, so good! I am so grateful I get to listen to it narrated by Abby Craden too. Her narration is incredible ❤️
Although Season Three doesn't feature as many steamy scenes as the first two seasons, I adored being back with the group and can't wait to listen to Season Four.

Okay, the good:
this one infuriated me far less than book two, which is good, bc if it had I might have dropped this series. I thought the Dominique/Steph issues and relationship woes made a lot of sense, and I loved how they were handled, in general, that was my fav arc. I also found the Juliette/Claire friendship break up and reunion realistic and resolved well—friends can sometimes hurt you more than romantic relationships. Claire and Margot were (in general) less annoying in this book, and tho I personally didn’t want them back together, the way they did it wasn’t horrible.

I’m SO ANNOYED that we !! Still!! Don’t get any pov from Dominque! What is the deal with this? Truly? We are following three couples, and everyone has a pov part except for her and it makes absolutely no fucking sense!!
Despite Claire/Margot being less annoying than they were in book two, they are still my least fav couple and I’m not rlly rooting for them, sorry y’all.
Margot and Nadia’s vendettas against Marie felt so asinine to me. The way they tried to paint her out as (basically?) a remorseless predator of sorts felt so off. The woman likes sex and doesn’t want relationships; she’s a flirt, and she maybe pushes boundaries that make her kind of an asshole, but the way these two were hung up on it and spoke abt her was absolutely confounding. Nadia is clearly just full of guilt still abt her affair and cheating on Juliette with her, and Margot is just… a jealous bitch I guess? The way they both reacted to Claire sleeping with her was… idk, she is a grown fucking woman who can do whatever she wants! Was it a shitty move to sleep continually with the woman your best friends wife had an affair with? Yeah sure absolutely, and Juliette’s anger was justified, but Nadia and Margot truly annoyed me with theirs.
They also both annoyed with with the bdsm scenes we got (Margot, more so in book two after taking Nadia’s advice abt spanking Claire in her office) and Nadia in book two, (iirc, maybe it was book one, it’s a theme with her) and also in this one, seems to use spanking scenes as… what feel like, to me, some genuine frustration and punishment? In general, the bdsm in this whole series has rubbed me the wrong way since book one where we see Claire and Margot’s first time. Margot is just like, yeah I’m gonna tie you up, and that’s that, then they get kinky. There is never, in any of these books so far, with either of the consistently kinda kinky couples, any discussion of a safe word, boundaries, aftercare, anything. Nadia and Margot both seem like rlly shitty dommes to me. I will admit, some of this is my basis for disliking spanking and pain play stuff in general, it’s just not my thing, but surrounding it if it’s presented in a better way, then i’d be fine with it.
I’m sure there were a few other things, but overall, I did enjoy this one more than book two, and I’m gonna listen to book four with fingers crossed that some of this shit gets resolved—there are ways to write in relationship conflict that don’t involve constant cheating and lying to your partners, ya know, here’s hoping we finally get some of that.

What a wonderful series
I was almost sad to see series ending. This was such a wonderful story. I became very attached to the characters. I wish we could follow up on them a few years down the line to see how they are faring. Characters well developed and very tight story line. Well done!

I received a review copy of this story from Harper for my honest review, so here it goes. I was a bit worried at first because it seemed like there was nothing but drama for every couple. Fortunately this depressing situation didn’t last very long and things started falling into place for all of my favorite ladies. My least favorite character even found a way to become my second favorite with her amazing gift to the awesome leather wearing doctor. I thoroughly enjoyed this third and final season. I only wish it didn’t have to end, but I can honestly say that I am happy with the way it ended. Another great piece of literature by one of my favorite authors.

I've loved the ups and downs of the ride that is French Kissing, all the way from Season 1 to Season 3 and the final ending. I fell for the characters, their stories, and their convoluted loves and lives, and followed along with them from the beginning. Well developed, well written, and so very, very readable, French Kissing is the perfect series to curl up with on the couch. Rainy day and glass of wine optional.

Season three finds turmoil rife in the lives of the women of French Kissing. The aftermath of season two leaves a lot for all the couples to overcome, and plenty emotional work to be done.
As a result, the book has much more angst, and even more drama (if that were possible), with less of the lighter interludes than before.
However, what was lost in fun and lighter moments was made up for (in my case) by talking back to the audiobook, giving the characters advice about what to say in the next argument, or what they should’ve done!
This is pure soap opera, with infuriatingly lovable characters, who continue to be great company.
One final point about this episode in particular (and the series in general): the engine of the story is romantic relationships but friendship is a major sub-theme. Female friendship, so important and widespread in the real world, is rarely rendered adequately, and often times unfairly (fighting, competing, back-stabbing) in books. Well here, the girls turn up for one another. And that is a heartwarming reflection of the real world experience of many women, in the middle of a mad-cap fairy tale. Well played, Harper Bliss.

This is the third book in the series and I liked it overall.
I will reiterate some things I mentioned in my previous reviews of the books:
The third book continues to explore various relationships, fears, and, above all, their friendships. Although I initially felt like all of the drama and chaos that ensues is really addicting to read, sometimes it can be a bit too unrealistic. I know this is fiction, but I mean, come on!
There are some mentions of political stuff so if you don’t like that, this is a CW. I do wish the transitions were a bit smoother between all of the POVs. There is a heavier emphasis on some BDSM so TW!
I felt like this book dragged a bit more and I was a bit bored at times. I think the repetitiveness of the drama and relationship issues really frustrated me. Still a good book. I am determined to finish the series!

Adieu mes amis! I've enjoyed this journey tremendous.
Harper Bliss did a great job at getting me to really connect with these friends from book one. I'm glad that I got to know them. I love how they evolved in different ways. These characters are charming, dynamic, endearing and beautifully flawed. I will miss them. These friends are made for each other, that was clear from the start. But do they realize that too? Drama starts to creep in and everything can go wrong. This story is fast paced and takes place in Paris. It's written with a lot of spice that keeps you warm. It is unique and simply amazing. Impossible to stop reading. Everything comes to an end but that doesn't mean I like it. Read it, this series will steal your heart.

Now that Juliette and Nadia have gotten married everything seems to be going well for them however Juliette still seems to have the dream of wanting a baby, but she knows that there is a slight chance that it might not work. Juliette has attempted to make piece with her family in order to see her nieces and also to help Nadia become used to the idea of what it would be like to have a child of her own.
Things with Claire haven't exactly gone the way that she would have liked them too considering for the past few months she has been lying to her best friend Juliette, but also the fact that she has been sleeping with one of the doctors that Nadia slept with a while back. She finally decides to come clean to Juliette and that causes their friendship to drift and for Juliette to not be able to forgive her as to her it's a betrayal that she never would have expected Claire to ever do to her.
For Steph her whole life has completely changed, instead of living such a carefree and outgoing life she is now having to deal with Dominque's campaign, her own work at Juliette and Claire's firm and also trying to find time for herself. Steph knew that once Dominque came out about her relationship with her that everything would be different, but she hadn't anticipated that she needed to take a step back ad stop worrying about everyone else and focus on herself. Instead she was trying to be the perfect woman who could handle everything, but that simply wasn't the case, and this has left a strain on their relationship.
And for Margot whilst now she is physically better, in her mind she isn't as she still feels guilty about everything that happened between her and Claire and then there's the fact that she thinks that she doesn't deserved to have lived but no matter how much everyone tries to tell her that she needs to stop thinking like this she can't seem to help it. The last thing that she was expecting was to gain Claire back into her life but after recent events to do with Claire, Juliette and the good Doctor from the hospital, Margot knows that Claire really needs someone as at the minute she has no one. Then little did she know that she was helping Claire in some way but the feeling that they both had is still there and Margot is still trying to fight it despite on how her heart feels.
Honestly will these crazy, outgoing bunch of lovely women be able to get to the goals that they want the most or will it just not simply work out this time as everyone has had enough chances. Also how will Dominque's campaign go, will she be able to win the first round or will the last person you expect to hear from figure a way to ruin it for everyone. Reading about these woman are honestly a good thing, and even though there seems to constantly be a lot of drama going on in their lives, it's fun to read about as you get so lost into their world that you can forget about your own problems even if it's just for a little while. Honestly give this series a chance as you never know if you'll love it. If you have already read the first two seasons in this series then you know what I'm talking about but for those of you that haven't then I recommend that you try reading the first season to see how far you will get into it.

The French kiss series will make you cry one minute and smile and cheer the next.
I have fallen in love with these characters over 3 books. While I am a fan of Lesbian Fiction, these women lead real lives, with real ups and downs. Harper Bliss can write not only steamy scenes but also detailed scenes. From the appearance and facial gestures to the description of a room or place. And her ability to peel back the emotions of her characters and show us the raw emotions inside can
be equally fascinating or devastating.
I look forward to reading book 4. I also love her other books. From her other big series "The Pink Bean" to her other works which can be read as stand alone but are all interconnected onto what the author calls the Blissverse. I wish I could afford to buy them all, and I'm working towards that goal with anticipation.

I look forward to reading book 4. I also love her other books. From her other big series "The Pink Bean" to her other works which can be read as stand alone but are all interconnected onto what the author calls the Blissverse. I wish I could afford to buy them all, and I'm working towards that goal with anticipation.

My least favourite of this series.
Why on earth would you have Claire hook up with Dievart and not have some development there? Margot gets angry, everyone is frustrated with Claire for being attracted to her. Margot even talks about bringing her down for working at so many hospitals at such a young age. But then, all of a sudden, everything is just hunky-dory?! I don’t get it!
Claire has to find her way back into the lives of her closest friends and it’s all done with just one event. Juliette can’t have children, time has run out. Nadia calls all of the friends to watch Dominique’s final debate for the presidency. There is some left over drama and coming to terms with all that is happened but all’s well that ends well...

Finished it in a day. Wow! What a ride! Harper Bliss took 3 years to write the series and her readers only take like...what? 3 days? That can only mean she's awesome.
And this season is the only season among the three that can wreck me and make me happy at the same time. Throughout the reading, all I could think of "Really, Claire? Really?" There are a million ways to glue her relationships, but seriously and honestly, I don't approve of her choice.
Anyhow, I'm a little bit sad to the characters are no longer in the picture, but at least I'm glad to know they have the ending they deserve. Salute to Harper Bliss and the 6 characters who give us the drama that nearly give us (or me) the heart attack!

It's the "final" book of a trilogy that actually turned into a longer series...
Overall, I loved this series. The second "season" was my least favorite, but this was a story of love, betrayal, cheating, reconnecting, second and third chance romance, and so much more.
I am going to move over to the Pink Bean series now since I've heard the next 2 books have crossover characters.
Overall, this series was great. So many heartaches and plenty of spice (although not as much in season 3). I hope to see them in the next two books, but reviews tell me they feature different characters, so I'll pause it here.
So far, this is a 4.75 series for me, and one I'll probably revisit again.

I waited till the last book to review this. With that, I can say I thoroughly enjoyed these books. The characters felt like real people with real problems. You can see the personal growth in the characters, well maybe not Juliette as I spent the entire series wanting to strangle her. To me this is the most important part, how the characters grow through out the book(s). If the characters are flat so is the book. The story was really engaging. I couldn't stop listening (I listen to audio books). I really enjoy Harper Bliss's writing style and I can't wait to read some of her other books.

I hav only read first two episode...but god these top are vicious .they want the person so much in their life that they are not really truthful with them and I feel like nadia is such a hypocrite and she play julliet like puppet sometimes why dont must come out say it loud for once and not waste other person heart....I feel sad for jules and claire... claire is just so sad to have just given up

I clearly needed to get something out of my system.
If you’re looking for books where grown up women act their age, this is not it.
I also wonder if some of the writing that bugged me has to do with the original episodic approach of this project. At any rate, I don’t need to hear the word neurosurgeon ever again in my life.

This world, these charismatic characters absolutely sucked me in. Although Season three might have been the weakest from other too, but it still left this warm feeling in my heart. It is 1a good finish line of a great series.

See, I understand why Juliet was upset, I really do. She's one of the characters I identify with the most. But all the drama with you-know-who was seriously ?_?. She got more upset with Claire than she did with Nadia.

Paris is a busy place for the couples as one set seem ready to move on and two seem to settle into domesticity, but the key word here is “seem” as all is not as it seems.
Six months have passed since Dominque and Steph went viral and life is definitely different under a microscope for Steph. She is not only in a relationship and in love for the first time, but she did not pick an easy road as a politician’s girlfriend who is running for election. The schedule is demanding and the violation of privacy is intrusive. Steph is drowning in Dominque’s life and is wondering if she made the right choices as she struggles to remain true to who she is or was. The same struggle can be seen in Juliette as she chases her baby dream, the winning of the election for Dominque, and the idea that Nadia and her have gotten past all of the trauma in the last year. Margot, herself, is looking for the person she used to be after physically recovering from her accident. She finds herself in an unusual situation of being Claire’s sole support system when Claire’s secret comes out with devastating effects on the people around her.
Holy sugar, Harper Bliss does it again in French Kissing: Season Three by bringing the scandals and the sex to Paris. I do not want to give too much away as once again Bliss packs a lot in her books. There are different types of dramas this time around, but all with the same idea of which I did not really notice until I was writing this and that is remaining true to who you are. Bliss gives us three completely different situations where women get lost in that we can all relate to if we have not been in the situation ourselves then we know someone and she shows the struggle of finding oneself again. She throws in some sex scenes, though not as many as in her previous books in this series and that is probably due to the nature of the story-lines. This book is a bit heavier in the emotions than the previous books in this series, but it is fitting and it is good. A couple or maybe two do not move onto Season Four so will they get their “happy ending” - guess you will have to read and find out (laugh).

This is possibly going to me my shortest ARC review ever because, let's face it, if you've read and enjoyed the previous 2 'seasons' in this series, you'll be curious about the third and all you really want to know is:
Is this 'Season' so bad that I'll wish I'd never read it & try every means possible to erase it from my memory ala Season 6 of the L Word?
Answer: No.
And, to be honest, I'm reluctant to say much more than that. But for those of you wanting a little teaser of what to expect I will say:
- yes we get some 'happily ever after' moments without those being unbelievable or OTT
- there are some more nice pwoar scenes, although far fewer than what I was expecting TBH
- I was left ever so slightly disappointed. I felt like there were a couple more chapters left to truly wrap up the story
If you haven't read the previous 2 seasons, then you need to before tackling this one. It is not designed to be stand alone [as evidenced by the fact that a condition on receiving an ARC of this book from the author was that we had read the previous two entries in the series].
I read the other two series before I started reviewing - but I will say Season 2 was my favourite of the three. Overall the French Kissing series are not my favourite works by Bliss so I'm not that sad to let these character go but, that's comparing them against Bliss' own high standard. In other words, they were still absolutely worth the price of admission and then some.
Overall a solid, if unremarkable, conclusion to a solid series.
