Margit Sandemo was a Norwegian-Swedish historical fantasy author. She has been the best-selling author in the Nordic Countries since the 1980s, when her novel series of 47 books, The Legend of the Ice People, was published. She has also written many other book series such as Häxmästaren and Legenden om Ljusets rike.

The 3rd book of the Sandemo series

"Night tears"

Teren is the main character of this book. The action takes place in the 20th century.

At the very beginning of the book, it's stated that Thor Steinbriten is a name of the man that she will likely get married to.
Then we get a flashback of their childhood memory. She was 8, he was 11.
We get to see her life from them onward. Her past relationship, sex life, career, family issues.

The flashbacks are fairly short. The story focuses on the part where they reunited.
The circumstances ain't great as Thor is being accused of committing a crime.

I did not like this book, it simply did not click with me. The characters, setting, the storytelling of knowing the ending beforehand, the time period. I wanted this book to be over as soon as I started.

Also, Teren sucks.

Bokens huvudkaraktär, en ung kvinna, är inte riktigt så naiv som jag förväntat mig. Däremot är den manliga karaktären både naiv och rejält hämmad på grund av den vidriga mobbing han utsatts för under hela sitt liv. Berättelsen är småcharmig och den är underhållande för stunden, om än inget mästerverk.
