right! A dissertation lost! For those of you who do read my reviews.... My apologies! Silly Amazon! This book had such fun with just the right amount of intrigue, fright, and plenty of misunderstanding. Really, a perfect Heather Graham book! One determined, impetuous, headstrong young woman for a heroine, and a one Hard-line, strong, yet unknown hero. Perfect, for fireworks, intrigue, some pure fun, and simply an AWESOME read. Per the norm, Ms Graham, I LOVED IT! Perfect ending to a SC day masquerading as the Mojave desert! And, on to the last two realeases, and of course your newest, I am saving for last! Thank you Ms Graham for sanity!
Want to solve a mystery and some devilish romance this is the book for you!
Heather Graham is a gifted writer. Love the humor, suspense and capture your drive to solve a case n get the guilty party. Flynn twisted plot is he good or bad.? Who can tell with ladies man he charm the jewels right off the ladies. Brittany is driven to find her aunts murdered, driven to obsession to the point her life is a risk. Lots of twist and turns and some spicy romance. Violence1,sex2
Check out Heather Graham Krewe hunters series - addicted to that series.
3.5*'s This book reminds me so much of a old Mary Stewart romance. It's the first book I've read by this author and it has the same vibe as many of the early Mary Stewart books like The Moonspinners and Airs Above the Ground.
Brittany is determined to find out who swindled her only relative and elderly aunt which lead to her death. She feels the police are just not working this so goes to Costa del Sol with wild plan to ingratiate herself in the circle of rich men, one who surely is the culprit. She however meets and falls for the handsome and wealthy, Flynn Colby. He pretends to believe her story and she thinks she is safe investigating. Turns out she is wrong.
Brittany has lost her beloved Aunt Alice. When she learns the details of her death she decides to take matters into her own hands. This involves a plan of infiltrating high society. She is clever with her ruse but didn’t have all the facts. She ends up on one of the suspects boats hoping to get evidence on the person responsible. She is holding her own until she falls for one of the suspects and gets in over her head. Great mystery with some twists I didn’t see coming.
This is another winner. Heather is one of my favorite authors. I highly recommend all her books to everyone who loves romance and paranormal books. I have read over forty of her 150 books. Maybe more since 1980's. She writes wonderful storylines and great characters in every book. Diana Romano
I am not sure what I was expecting but this story was not it. I have read a few of Graham's books that are not her Krewe of Hunters. Some I really have enjoyed and some are okay. For never hearing about this book until I came a cross it, it is up there with the ones I really enjoy.
Siren 🧜♀️ of the Sea 🌊!! I loved 🥰 both the book and the audible book !! This is absolutely beautiful story I came about it by accident but it was really great!!! I will be reading and listening to her other books 📚I do not want to miss out on this great author 📕!! I definitely recommend this book 📕!!
Good premise and plot, just weak/hollow. Needed more fleshing out, especially at beginning about h background and relationship with aunt. Quick read, almost like a novella. Also it was written In 80’s so that was a little strange.
I love Heather Graham and really want to love this book, but I don't think it was the book for me. Brittany's whole premise for winding up in Costa del Sol felt really flimsy to me. And while I'm all for escaping Into the fantasy of a book, the fact she was really out of her depth kept niggling in the back of my mind. I did like Flynn's character and other parts of the book though.
Predictably cute romance. I had the main plot twist figured out almost from the beginning, but it was still fun with a few minor surprises here and there. I still vastly prefer Heather Graham’s paranormal romances & her Krewe of Hunters series, but this was fun, too.
