A solid grasp of Christian doctrine is just as important for the youngest believers as it is for adults. Preschool and elementary school-age children will love learning about the most foundational teachings of the Christian faith in the Big Thoughts for Little Thinkers series . The Gospel relates the good news of salvation to children, so even small children can grasp God's saving love and His promise to adopt them and give them a home in heaven through faith in Jesus Christ. Written in simple but precise language and on a level that small children can understand, the book teaches God-centered theology. Featuring charming illustrations, The Gospel makes for a fun but educational read.

In this book you meet Gracie who tells you very clear and thorough explanations of the gospel at a level younger kids can understand. Includes not only the essential message of God, sin, Christ, and the need to trust in Christ, but also basic thoughts on spiritual growth for new and young believers. My two-year-old daughter loves the small size of this book and the simple but engaging illustrations. We often find her paging through it pretending to read (though she can’t read words yet). This is part of a great series for children ages 4-7. Highly recommended.
This could also be called “Salvation” as it gives a pretty clear explanation of how to be saved. I like that it says we must “trust in” Jeus instead of just believing He exists. Gospel also compares trusting in Jesus to trusting in an airplane to get us to our destination--a popular comparison in apologetics. Overall a good book I would recommend.
I bought this book and this is my honest and unbiased review.
Read to my niece. I am not sure how I feel about the book itself yet, honestly. Lots of text, with pictures that help sometimes to illustrate the ideas in the book. Good for Christians sharing their faith with their children.
I just finished reading this to my 2 year old boy. He actually asked me to read it again. Each page has a simple thought on it and Bible references are included. One page includes this thought, "When you try to be happy without God, you do bad things called sin. You sin with your words, your thoughts, and your actions. You do bad things because you have a sinful heart." The verses included on the page are Isaiah 53:6 and Jeremiah 2:12-13; 17:9. A note to parents is also included that highlights the potential for faith in even the littlest ones. I recommend this book and will look for others in the series. I know that Credo Magazine featured the one on the Trinity just recently.
