One of the bests in programming, Examples are speaking about several not-complicated not-cheap subject and descriptions are awesome. thank you Danny Coward for this book. It helped me a lot.
I complained that the Java EE 8 Cookbook claimed to be an introduction to Java EE assuming only "basic knowledge of Java," but in fact assumed complete knowledge of what felt like the entire Java EE ecosystem except the individual component being discussed in every chapter. By contrast, Jave EE 7: The Big Picture actually lives up to its subtitle and (except for some design glitches that make the technical writer in me wince) seems a worthy title for an imprint owned by the company that maintains the language.
I'm not ready to go out and develop a Java EE application from scratch without help from this book or other materials yet, but after my one reading of this volume I now feel less confused about the fundamental architecture of an "enterprise Java" application and the most basic tools the platform provides than when I started it, and I do feel ready to start developing an application with this book and the online tutorials in hand.
