This is a classic romance with a touch of voodoo. It’s written in a easy pace and the sex scenes very pretty hot.
The story turns around Levi and her adventures, who starts as a bartender in the lesbian resort Venus Rising on the Virgin Islands. There are loveable main and second characters, some witty dialogues, a curse, a lot of steamy sex and enough drama for keeping you in the story.
It is an enjoyable read, well written, as always, by Ali Spooner. I was reading it lying on a deck chair on a beautiful beach in Spain, for that it was the perfect read. To enjoy a few hours in Paradise between the pages.

Welcome to paradise.
The romance is as hot as the weather in the beautiful tropical Virgin Islands, a top notch romance. It's beautifully written and I found it difficult to put it down. Levi is a super hot bartender with a heart of gold. I loved the camaraderie between all those lovely women of the resort and I cared about each of them, feeling a personal connection with them. In the beginning I loved Simone with all her bad habits but her arrogance took it away. Vanessa, on the other hand, a woman who you fall in love with. Nat and Liz, I wish I could call them my bosses. This story was very enthralling and written in a perfect pace. I will definitely grab Neptune's Ring as soon as it will be released.

After graduating with an MBA and in no hurry to decide on a career, twenty four year old Levi Johnson applies for a summer job bartending at an exclusive lesbian resort in the Islands. Levi is successful and gets the job and finds herself busy and enjoying her work and her life at Venus Rising. Levi is an instant success. The guests love her, she’s good at her job. Her new employers Nat and Liz are very pleased with their new employee. Life is great for Levi.
Simone, Nat’s sister and the owner of Sappho Cruise Lines, sets her sights on Levi. The two women quickly become inseparable. Both Levi and Simone are falling in love and seem to be heading in the direction of a permanent relationship. Until the day Simone shows herself in her true light. Simone has always been a player and just leaves the island and a broken hearted Levi with no explanation.
Vanessa is the Captain of the Sappho One cruise ship. When Vanessa meets Levi, she is smitten by her. But Levi is still nursing a broken heart. Vanessa sticks around and Levi finds herself becoming attracted to her. Vanessa becomes instrumental in healing Levi’s broken heart.
When Simone returns, she realizes she’s thrown away the best thing in her life. She isn’t going to let Levi go easily and begs for forgiveness. Who will Levi choose? The undependable scheming seductress Simone, who may break her heart again? Or the loving and dependable Vanessa who will do anything in her power to make Levi happy, including letting her go, if that’s what it takes?
This is the first book I’ve read by Ali Spooner, although I’ve had some of her books for a while. I’m only sorry I waited so long to discover what an excellent storyteller this author is. I really enjoyed this book.
The books centers around Levi, her job and her leisure time at the Venus Rising Resort. We read of the love triangle Levi finds herself being a part of when she falls in love with two vastly different women. All the characters in this book are multidimensional and are instrumental in the easy flow of this story.
There are many twists and turns and even the touch of an old curse to contend with. The book is chock full of red hot steamy sex and romance. A pure luxurious and easy read with some delightful characters.
There is a sequel, Neptune’s Ring, which I’ve already lined up to read.
Just one point I’m sorry to have to mention, the book could use an editor. Having said this, it isn’t so bad that it pulled me out of the story. For the very reasonable price, the length of the book and an excellent story, I can easily forgive this.

Levi is fresh out of school and looking for a little fun before heading off to make her fortune on Wall Street. She gets hired on as a bartender at the lesbian resort Venus Rising. With her hot looks, dazzling charm and her signature drink she is a hit with the clientele and her friendly, sweet nature makes her a hit with the staff. Levi falls hard for the wrong woman and it breaks her heart. When the right woman comes along will she be willing to risk it or has she been burned too badly?
I really liked this book a great deal. There were some things I questioned, like when did Levi move all her things to the island and how quickly she fell in love but as Mama always says “If you can't be a true believer don't watch the show” or read the book in this case. If you're looking for deep and meaningful this is not the book for you. This is a sweet tale of a young woman's adventures in paradise. It is a classic romance with lots and lots of steamy spice! The writing is solid and the flow is good with no wishing it would go faster or slow down. Its just right.
I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, primary and secondary they all relate to each other like family and I found it heartwarming. Levi will quickly endear herself to you and you will be rooting for her the whole way. Simone and Vanessa are both love interests and many people wont understand how a person can love two people at the same time but I've dealt with this struggle and really adored a character I could relate to, at least in that manner. (I'll never be a hot and hip bartender but Im ok with that lol)
Anyway, I just really liked the book and for those of you who like sequels will be pleased to know there is a second in the series called Neptune's Ring that is available now. Another thing to love about the book is that there are so many characters to love that should she desire, there are at least four spin off books I can come up with and I REALLY hope Ms Spooner thinks so too!

Sex on the beach without the sand. One part Fantasy Island, one part Love Boat, and one part Cocktail plus lesbians and a dash of voodoo are the real ingredients of this book's signature drink, "Tropical Ecstasy." If you're looking for a book to put you in a summer beach mood, this is it.

A luxurious resort, hot bartender and a beach- what could go wrong.
This story is so much more than a graphic romp. Levi heads to Venus Rising after finishing her master's in business. She is going only for a summer of sowing wild oats but oh so much more happens. The characters are just about some of the most fun loving people you can meet. The experiences that Levi has are beyond amazing and some heartbreaking. I love the idea of a an island that caters to w/w. It was hard hard to see Simone just fail at human but Vanessa was easy to route for to make Levi happy. A great love story with adventure and new experiences. I look forward to the next book. As always Ali serves up so much fun, characters with South and great mischief!!

As always, Ms Spooner writes an interesting dynamic story. I love how she evolves her characters and weaves a dramatic situation. I will certainly read more of he novels.

I loved Venus Rising by Ali Spooner. It was a bit spicier than her usual book and I really enjoyed it. The story had a little bit of everything in it. There was a beautiful setting, a cursed coin, drama, intrigue, a sweet love story, lust and an island full of beautiful wealthy women. Who wouldn't love that! Read this book. You'll enjoy it. Ali doesn't disappoint.

This is another book by this author that I have enjoyed a lot can't wait if there's gonna be a 3rd part. And another book ... have been rereading all the books I own and on scribd. Lol I enjoy all characters. This is a book u will wanna read. Tnks for writing it ..

Loved it!
I was really riveted to this book from the very start. It was very appealing had the right amount of paradise, intrigue and romance. Very interesting developments with the "curse". Looking forward to the next segment to the story!
