Forza Sawamura!
This is so far looking to be a great sequel to the previous series Diamond No Ace. The book follows a now sophomore pitcher named Sawamura Eijun who got accepted to a prestigious academy Seidou known for their powerhouse baseball team. He started a little rough but made it to the 20 players on the varsity team. He goes on to improve more and more. He starts the book as one of the most solid players in the country and quickly grows to be one of the best on the whole varsity team. He shows amazing character development and starts to look like the starting pitcher of Seidou towards the end. This series is still ongoing so I'm not sure where this story is headed. However, it didn't all start and he began improving after his upperclassmen told him "We're aiming for nationals. We call it a dream because it's not easy to achieve." Knowing how difficult he started training and he is where he is now. This book teaches me to persevere and work hard. All the hard work will eventually become fruits of all his hard work and labor.
Also I'm glad that Sawamura finally had a good game I was a little bit worried for that dead ball but he is stronger now! I want to see another Inashiro-Seido but I feel that one of them will not avance to the final. I also enjoyed the interactions with the blond catcher they are a little bit love-hate relationship, god and I thought that the relationship with Miyuki was difficult. I'm happy to see that Sawamura is evolving!
At last Sawamura gets to show his skills. I am glad he found so many pitching styles now. I just hope Furuya don't go rain on his parade again. I hate it when the author up Furuya's skill whenever Sawamura just gained a hopeful new skill. Yes the mangaka is pretty twisted like that. I feel super frustrated yet still glued to the manga. For that, I had to salute the mangaka. Haha
"those eyes gazed only straight ahead, only into the future. furuya, you have no idea how lucky you are that in this school there is sawamura in the same school year as you."
