JENNY BRAVO spent her childhood in Disney princess nightgowns and climbing trees barefooted. These days, she usually wears shoes. As a part-time writer, she drinks too much coffee and writes feverishly in the fringe hours. Otherwise, she blogs at jennybravobooks.com and plays on Twitter. While she calls New Orleans home, she also considers herself a resident of Narnia, Hogwarts and Neverland.
This book again, is so adorable. It’s about teenage romance, which probably is my favorite genre. The book is about a boy who didn’t realize his love was right in front of him the whole time. He broke hearts in the past and even hurt a girl in this book. But he promised to himself, he can’t break his love’s heart.
As the book came to a close, I realized I was tearing up by the amount of love the main character has for the 2nd main character. There should be more books like these. AGAIN 10/10💯. I definitely recommend. It’s not cringey. It’s the right amount of love.
Such a sweet, gut wrenching tale of best friends finding something more in their friendship. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys a love story that isn’t exactly immediate.
It was so helpful to get a broader perspective on "These Are The Moments" character, Simon. This short, sweet (emphasis on sweet) story is a delightful look into the mind of a complicated and somewhat troubled character. Jenny once again writes a fun, captivating read! I'm a forever-fan!
Read it since I read the first one b/c it was free on Apple Books and this one was as well so I did not get to read the 2nd one - I think reading the second one might have changed my review of this book but probably not. I couldn’t get into Simon’s perspective and there was a point in the middle of the book where I could no longer sympathize with him. He tried to play it off as a conflicted guy who has a bunch of personal problems - not wanting to hurt anyone, struggling with ADD, falling in love with someone else, saying “I love you” when he didn’t mean it, etc. like he was trying to be a good big brother and that made him endearing and I understand he’s only in high school, but I still couldn’t sympathize with him, just became annoyed.

This was a cute story and I really enjoyed it. It’s part of a series and I think I started it in the wrong order... but I’m glad I read this and would recommend. Also excited to read the rest of these books!
I really want to enjoy these books, but I can not. Incomplete writing, choppy story lines and endings without context. The author has a great way with words, but they just aren’t being used right in these books
I honestly loved this book. I said it with the previous book, but the way that the love stories and characters develop in this book is absolutely adorable. I loved it!!!! Highly recommend.
After reading These Are the Moments, this is definitely the story I needed. Something that bothered me about the first book is that Simon seems to be "flaky" for no discernible reason. I'm so glad that Jenny wrote this Novella as it touches on real world, every day issues that people face. Sometimes people come across in a negative way and sometimes we don't really know what's going on beneath the surface. That's what I love about these characters. They have a real, tangible, trope-free uniqueness to them. My only complaint is that it seemed to cut off too short. I definitely wanted more.
Give this one a read, but make sure you pick up a copy of These Are the Moments first.
I read this book as a quick read before a themed, monthly book-club meet. (YA) To say the least, the characters didn't hook me in nor did the story-line. But I blame it on my ignorance about the existence of the other parts of the book.
I liked the connections with God shown and the differentiation between what's right and wrong portrayed through the struggles of the protagonist.
I'd definitely recommend reading TATM and TWTM to understand the story better as I'm off to doing the same. ;)
While not as enjoyable as These Are The Moments, this is still a wonderful companion to that. I find myself wanting to see more about Simon - to learn more about his life and his moments and his thoughts past this novella and into where we left him and Wendy (and beyond) in TATM.
It was interesting to read from Simon's perspective. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would - you realise he isn't a total douche and can sympathise with his behaviour more.
i am very rarely left speechless after reading a book but this one did it. it gave me everything i loved and have been looking for. it’s such a slow burn and it yanked my heart the whole time!
Can I just say, WOW! Jenny Bravo has perfectly structured writers claw into me and won't let go. Her TATM series is thoughtful, heart-warming, and so true to life that you forget you are reading fiction. I know these characters. They are have been in my life long before I read Bravo's novels. Simon is easy to love even in his low moments. And I love following along inside Simon's mind as he falls for his best friend, Wendy. This story is authentic, unique, and one that I revisited the moment it was over. It will leave you to ponder over your own thoughts and actions when it comes to love. Thanks Jenny for another great addition to the TATM series. I look forward to more!
