This epic fantasy follows four individuals as magic, and the gods, are reintroduced to the world in order to save it.

A little different from this author's normal style. This one follows 4 main characters. It was a little confusing at first. The world is under attack by aliens and most of the bigger cities have been attacked. The land has been poisoned. In order to save the world Merlin brings back the dragons, elves and magic. This disrupts all electronics including the alien's. About a 1000 years ago, Merlin sent the Elves and Dragons away to protect them. Humans were becoming more violent. There needed to be balance between the races and that was in danger so Merlin sent them away until humanity calmed down and it was felt that they could coexist again. It wasn't time for that yet, but bringing the other races and magic back was the only way to save the world. It cost Merlin his life.
The story follows a young 20 year old woman who has received Merlin's Mantle, a 30 year old guy who finds out he is a necromancer when magic returns, a elven prince who is to help Merlin's replacement, and the alien commander. This story deals with learning about magic and it's limitations. Trying to start over in a world that has no machinery any more. Dealing with the good and bad of people, and trying to stop the aliens from doing any more harm. There were no harem elements but each one of the earth characters had their own relationships and sexy time. I enjoyed it.

good enough to pass the time for those sleepless nights
This was a descent story with two different MCs.
The female MC, Katie was a farm girl who just found out that she is the new Merlin and is tasked with maintaining the balance in this post apocalyptic world. She is joined by a minor goddess and the customary male love interest as she later meets up with some Elves and a dragon to fight of the aliens responsible for the apocalypse.
On the other hand you have the male MC, Sean who is a fledgling necromancer trying to survive the magical apocalypse and against human greed/raiders. He is no knight in shining armour but he also can’t turn a blind eye to blatantly evil situations. I actually enjoyed his journey more than Katie’s.
Overall it was an okay read but there wasn’t anything special about this story. 3/5

A great start to apocalyptic fantasy novel
I like this book the characters are interesting the world building is decent and the different perspectives from the characters keep you interested. This story is somewhat dark but has light provoking things as well. Some of the characters learning how to use and control their magic brings out the best and the worst in those that are left in this world. this is a warning for the book though the erotic scenes are not fade to black so be prepared, anyway I really enjoyed the story and would like to see what happens next well actually read hahaha.

Surprisingly great!
While the writer flirts with many different tropes, they never quite turn in the direction that one expects. Magic, elves,dragons and other assorted Mystical beings and things arrive back on Earth, while pretty much destroying technology. Yes, its a Magical Apocalypse, with powerful characters, not OP, just yet, as the main characters are growing into their roles, with even a necromancer, who is really not at all as you would expect him to be.
I don't normally give books five stars, but this one certainly earned them.

This is the second time.
I read this a couple years ago and really enjoyed it. The multiple people point of view enhances the experience. I wanted there to be a 2nd book but alas that didn't happen.

A very good story that kept my interest. The multiple MCs that changed every chapter was a little much but still good.

I really liked this book. Especially the necromancer stuff. This author just seems to have a way of making the darker elements of supernatural much more appealing and interesting. Really hope there's a sequel.
