Lovely book. "What a wonderful day to be..." is repeated throughout the book and at first I was annoyed, but then I was okay with it and the book flowed well. I liked the details of the farm, the animals, and the weather. You can really feel the crisp air as you read the story. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful and also detailed. They were my favorite part of the book. The story isn't about a cow, but about all the animals that live on the farm. The cow is just one part of the story.

LOVE THIS BOOK! It makes me feel like I'm at my grandma's farm back when I was a kid, and could spend the whole day in and around the barns or out in the fields. This would be great for a preschool storytime about farms or seasons.
