Na zich uit de holle kunstplaneet Horror een weg naar de veiligheid van de vrije ruimte te hebben gebaand, zette Perry Rhodan die veiligheid op het spel, door nogmaals met de Crest II het oppervlak van die planeet te naderen. Ze kwamen daarbij binnen de werkingssfeer van het geheime wapen Horror en ondergingen met hun omgeving een verkleiningsproces, waardoor ze duizendmaal kleiner werden.
Maar de Terranen verliezen de moed niet - ze ondernemen een gewapende aanval op De micro-vesting.

William Voltz was the pen name of German science fiction author Wilhelm Karl Voltz.

He was a member of the 'Perry Rhodan' writing team since 1962 and served as a longtime head writer for the series. He is considered a major - and lasting - influence on the character of the franchise.

Other pseudonyms include Detlef Kaufmann und Ralph Steven.

Этот роман хочется охарактеризовать одним словом — «компактный». История о попытках разведать обстановку, в ходе которой главные герои попадают в крепость с роботами. Разведка, побег, спасение — всё по стандартной форумуле, но учитывая, что роман писал УиВо, читать было интересно. Общая история не стала понятней, появились только новые вопросы. В этом цикле очень сложно уловить, где филлер, а где нет, так как количество загадок и тайн не позволяет делать качественные выводы.

Een eerste poging om van de miniaturisatie verlost te geraken door Don Redhorse en een ploeg onversaagde helden. Een spannend avontuur met (een beetje) humor. Wie houdt van stoere mannen die heldendaden verrichten in onmogelijke omstandigheden is aan het goede adres.

The Positronic brain of the KHREST II confirms that the shrinkage effect comes from the station at the south pole of the planet "Horror". On 18 December 2400, Don Redhorse, Lope Losar, Oleg Sanchon, Into Belchman and Zanto Aybron leave for the south pole with jet fighters that have chemical propulsion. After a short flight they are shot down by robots. These robots bring their prisoners into a primitive fortress that Redhorse baptizes Llalag. Redhorse learns that the robots are controlled by lumps of protoplasm in their head - the degenerate remnants of the original inhabitants of Llalag. While trying to free themselves, Sanchon and Belchman are killed. Don Redhorse, Losar and Aybrons reach the KHREST II with their last ounce of strength.
