Subject: Petty Officer Christian "Cowboy" Laramie

Mission: Locate a missing person…without seducing the man's fiancée!

Navy SEAL Christian Laramie knows everything about explosives, including how to avoid them. But he sure as hell isn't prepared for Sammi Jo Wilson—all gorgeous red hair and long-legged sexiness—in a wedding dress, asking him to find her kidnapped fiancé. Yep, he is definitely dealing with one dangerous bombshell…

Laramie has a rep for thoroughly pleasing the ladies, but he's not interested in emotional entanglements. He has rules—and engaged women are a definite no-no. Yet the searing heat between him and Sammi is like nothing he's ever experienced. Each touch gets hotter. Each kiss more intense. And if Laramie can't disarm this desire, it will blow up in the only way possible…in bed!

Good book. Laramie has gone home on his yearly visit, to hide out in his childhood cabin and rest and recharge. He's looking forward to peace and quiet and being left alone. He does not expect to have his childhood friend Sammi Jo show up and ask for his help finding her kidnapped fiance. Every instinct he has tells him to send her away, but he just can't do it.

I started out not being particularly fond of either Laramie or Sammi Jo. Laramie has a well-known reputation with the ladies. He sleeps with many of them, leaves them smiling and satisfied, and forgets them as soon as he does. He absolutely avoids allowing any kind of emotion to be involved. His attitude has been influenced by his memories of his parents' relationship and he wants no part of that. My initial impression of Sammi Jo was that she had no backbone at all. She worked hard to overcome the stigma of how she grew up, but now she is overly concerned with appearances. She is the assistant manager at a hotel owned by her fiance's father. She has been trying to become the manager, but her efforts are ignored by him. She became engaged to Sterling because his father wanted it, not because she loves him. It is now three weeks until the wedding and all her preferences are being overruled by him and the wedding planner he hired. She doesn't fight for any of the things she wants. To top it all off, there are rumors that Sterling is cheating on her and she simply accepts it. When she gets a call from Sterling telling her that he's been kidnapped and asking her not to tell anyone, she can't just let it go. So she goes to Laramie to ask for his help.

From the moment they see each other again, the sparks between them are hot. Sammi Jo is surprised, because she's never felt like this with anyone else, especially Sterling. She's always assumed that she doesn't have what it takes to have the sexy feelings that other women talk about. Discovering that Laramie does it for her is quite a shock. Laramie is stunned by the strength of his reaction to Sammi Jo. That has never happened to him before and he isn't so sure that he likes it. He also has a rule about getting involved with women who are taken, and she should definitely be off limits.

Though she is still engaged to Sterling, Sammi Jo can't resist her attraction to Laramie. I would have found this disturbing, except that she quickly realized that marrying Sterling was no longer an option. She simply couldn't end the engagement until she could see him again. I liked seeing the way that she and Laramie spent a lot of time talking and learning about each other. Laramie's treatment of her went a long way toward enabling her to find the backbone that has been missing for so long. I also enjoyed seeing Laramie's transformation from playboy to potential husband. It wasn't all smooth sailing, as Laramie has some trouble believing that she would be willing to give up the rich life for him. Sammi Jo also has some trouble believing that she is good enough for someone like him. After an instance of allowing their insecurities to come between them, I liked the way that Sammi Jo took matters into her own hands and finally stood up for what she wanted. Her big moment at the end was really good.

The portrayals of Mr. Barclay, Sterling and the wedding planner were all quite good. They were definitely easy to detest. Mr. Barclay's control freak persona was horrible, and the way he treated Sammi Jo was wrong on so many levels. I couldn't believe she took it for as long as she did. Sterling was just creepy. His complete disrespect for Sammi Jo was unforgivable and I really wished that Laramie had been a bit rougher with him. The wedding planner was a bitch, plain and simple. I hated seeing Sammi Jo buckle under to her. The twist at the end involving her wasn't really much of a surprise once I thought about it. I'd love to hear that, in the not too distant future, the Barclay hotel went out of business because Sammi Jo had been the one making it all work.

I did enjoy the teasing that Laramie got from his teammates as his feelings for Sammi Jo became more obvious.

I am loving MS Weber's SEAL's and loved Cowboy and his girl Sammi Jo what a great story the banter between Sammi Jo and Laramie will have you laughing and smiling this one is hot steamy loved the setting loved the couple.

Christian Laramie "Cowboy" has gone home to the mountains in Texas for his yearly break this is his time to reconnect with his past think and re-charge. He is known by woman everywhere and the talk starts in his home town as soon as he arrives and one person who is pleased he has arrived is Sammi Jo Wilson who works at the Barclay Inn because she needs his help again although the last time he helped she was very young but he is her rock but it will mean braking all of his rules.

Sammi Jo has stayed in the town all of her life never moving on she has settled for what has come her way but strives to do her best she is engaged to Sterling Barclay and the wedding is only a few short weeks away but when Sterling is kidnapped and her knight in shinning armour arrives in town she asks for his help and help he does in such a very good way.

Really this is such a fabulous story sensual and moving steamy and a joy to read MS Weber knows how to write a story that will make the reader feel part of the story bring happiness to the reader as they turn the pages. Laramie and Sammi Jo are meant to be together they become one as they open up to each other and fall in love. I highly recommend this one truly one not to be missed :)

Normally I love Weber's seal series and is usually my go to books when I'm looking for a strong sexy seal but this one just didn't do it for me.

The characters were just okay. Cowboy knew Sammi Jo when she was younger and helped learn to read but now she is all grown up and is engaged. Cowboy heads home for a much needed break but when Sammi Jo shows up needing help in finding her missing fiancé sparks start flying between them and suddenly Cowboy is knocked for a loop when things start happening between them.

Okay so through the story we see that her engagement isn't about love but friendship but still these characters acted liked cheating was nothing. Sammi jos fiancé sees women and she starts seeing cowboy. I just couldn't wrap my head around that.

The story didn't come off as believable and I think that's why I didn't enjoy it as much as the previous books in this series. I was really looking forward to Cowboys story because in previous books he is like the man with women and in this book he didn't seem as sure of himself especially when it came to Sammi Jo.

I'm not giving up on this series yet but I hope the next book will be better and make me fall back in love with the seals I have grown to love.

4 Stars!

The story has laughs, steam, secrets, pain, and heartbreak.

This is Sammi Jo and “Cowboy” Christian’s story. These two knew each other when they were younger. Now Cowboy is on leave and Sammi needs his help finding her fiancé. When these two get close the chemistry could light up the room. She’s engaged and he needs to keep his hand off. But is everything as it seems? Can the sparks be denied between these two? Or is she looking for the wrong man when the one she needs and wants is right next to her? Is she settling for second best so she does not end up like her mom? Can Cowboy convince her he is really all she needs and she is nothing like her mother?

I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

Very relieved that Books 10 and 11 in Uniformly Hot Series are once again fantastic, engaging, steamy and romantic reads after the disappointment of Books 7-9.

Adorable, quirky, naive Heroine. Really enjoyed their crazy story. 4.5 Stars

DNF. I started to listen to the audiobook, narrated by Alexander Cendese, hoping someone had helped Mr Cendese learn how to do women’s voices without making them sound like 10-yr-old precocious girls. He has not, so I’ll read this one some day and not waste my time on the audiobook.

I received an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review and here it is: 3 stars.

I've been following and enjoying all the titles in Tawny Weber's SEAL series, but this one just didn't grab me the same way the other titles have. The novel opens with Laramie and his fellow SEALs on a training op, which was exciting but irrelevant to the story. Four hours later they're all kicking back Olive Oyl's, a bar, which has been a constant Navy SEAL hangout throughout the series, and while the joking and camaraderie are informative, it does make Laramie sound like little more than than a man-whore, a complete lothario who'll sleep with just about anyone who's a female, satisfy her and leave her without batting an eye--no emotions required.

We next meet Sammi Jo, a local gal whose mother lives in a rundown trailer, drinks, smokes and has been servicing a number of men who keep her in money and liquor since Sammi Jo was a child. Sammi Jo escaped the trailer and is now living in a garage apartment at the Barclay Inn, while working there and receiving meager pay because they're providing her with room and board. She's been struggling for years to improve her position and earn a promotion and she's also getting ready to marry her fiance, Sterling Barclay, the wealthy son of the Barclay family, but it's quite clear that she's not in love with him and that he's not in love with her. She's not even anticipating her wedding night, since that's not the type of relationship she and Sterling have, and her few forays into sex with others haven't been either exciting or fulfilling, and even with her mother's constant stream of sex partners, Sammi Jo is too clueless about sex to be believable.

Sammi Joe is also being railroaded by the Barclay-hired wedding coordinator to simply agree to everything--her wedding dress, her shoes, the flowers in her bouquet. She doesn't like the choices that are being made for her yet she doesn't do anything to stand up for herself, and I simply couldn't relate to such a weak and compliant character. I kept hoping she'd stand up for herself, and even though she does at one point try to decide the flavor of her wedding cake, in the end, she acquiesces. Sterling is completely absent from the wedding planning, and it's rumored that he's already seeing other women, something Sammi Jo also accepts. She finally mentions Sterling's cheating on her and he shrugs it off, and I could only shake my head in dismay at her lack of a backbone.

One day, Sterling chases Sammi Jo out of her tiny office to use her computer, and when she returns to her office, she finds it in shambles and then gets a phone call. Sterling has been kidnapped and she's instructed to just go about her business, cover up his absence and say nothing to his family or the police. She's heard that Christian Laramie, her childhood defender and Navy SEAL, is back in town, and that's who she turns to for help, and she finds him at his regular getaway, a cabin in the woods that he returns to for 3 weeks of rest and relaxation each year. She literally and figuratively offers him anything in exchange for his help in rescuing her fiance. Laramie finally consents to find and rescue Sterling, but "anything" turns into a steamy relationship that Laramie considers a fling and which changes Sammi Jo's mind about the pleasures of sex.

I won't spoil the ending by going beyond this point in the novel, but although Ms. Weber can write one heck of a sizzling sex scene, this novel didn't have a single character in it who I either liked or respected. The writing and plotting, as in all her novels, is good. What I couldn't get past, however, is how unlikable both main characters are--even through the end of the novel. I'm used to Tawny Weber's hot, sexy heroes with hearts of gold and her spunky heroines, but both were sadly absent in this novel.

A SEAL’S DESIRE (UNIFORMLY HOT!), BY TAWNY WEBER

PUBLISHER: HARLEQUIN BLAZE; JUNE 1, 2016

Christian Laramie is a hot, talented, smart, and charismatic Navy SEAL originally from Texas. Sammi Jo is the assistant manager of The Barclay Inn, engaged to the owner’s son, Sterling, and not in love with her future groom. She has worked hard her entire life to overcome bad memories of her mother, and to move beyond her mother’s reputation. Christian is a legend with the ladies in both San Diego and Texas, determined to never settle down, and definitely not to fall in love. Sammi Jo doesn’t know what it’s like to be in love and certainly doesn’t understand why people put so much emphasis on sex, resigning herself to an acceptable marriage and life – but not love and passion. Just as Christian returns to his hometown during leave, Sammi Jo’s cheating fiance is kidnapped, and she is warned not to tell Sterling’s father or the police. Knowing that Christian has returned and is at the family cabin, Sammi Jo pays a visit to her old friend asking for his help. Surprisingly to them both, there is immediate attraction and chemistry which awakens something within Sammi Jo, and stirs feelings in Christian that he never knew possible.

Tawny Weber has nailed it with this one! A SEAL’s Desire is not only a romance, but is a suspenseful story about two people realizing what they really want and being strong enough to go after it. This novel is a fabulous portrayal of a woman that’s always agreed to what others want, then grows and transforms into someone assertive and passionate. Sammi Jo is a character that you cheer for, just waiting for her to step up and tell it like it is! The Barclays, both father and son, are both very unlikable men. The eldest Mr. Barclay is rude and demanding, whereas his son Sterling, is a liar and a cheater. Sammi Jo’s friend Blythe, is another believable and likable character, but the other woman are fake and oblivious as to what Sammi Jo feels or wants. Weber’s new novel is very much a feel-good read as you watch Christian and Sammi Jo bringing out the best in each other, and watch them learn things about themselves that they never imagined.

A SEAL’s Desire is not some literary masterpiece to be taught in college courses by any means, however, the author’s writing, language, and characterization pull you in from the first paragraph. This is a novel you will start and finish in one sitting, and will leave you longing for more of Christian and Sammi Jo in the near future. I certainly hope that their story will continue!

"Cowboy" Laramie. A love 'em and leave 'em Navy-trained SEAL. The only woman he's ever said "I love you" to was his mother.

Sammi Jo. An assistant manager at the Barclay Inn, engaged to be married to the town's richest catch. She's letting people push her into a loveless, passionless marriage.

Laramie and Sammi Jo have a history no one knows about. And when Sammi Jo's fiance goes missing three weeks before the wedding, she knows Laramie is the only person who can help her. What she doesn't count on, though, are the sparks that fly and make her weak in the knees just being near him. Because Laramie is also on a mission to rescue something else ... Sammi Jo's backbone ... and her heart.

I have read all of Tawny Weber's books in her Uniformly Hot series and have liked all of them. Alpha male SEAL heroes and sassy, strong heroines. This new addition entertained me as well, although it took some time for our female protagonist to find her strength. I felt for both Laramie and Sammi Jo right at the first, with their shared broken family backgrounds and their shared past together. The author helped us understand why Laramie hadn't settled down yet and why Sammi Jo was in a "just friends" engagement - he had demons from his past and she was being manipulated by her boss, who was also her future father-in-law.

When Sammi Jo sought out Laramie's help, the immediate chemistry there surprised them both and the adventure began. It did feel kind of strange at first, cheering them on while Sammi Jo was technically still engaged. Though in her defense, her fiance was kidnapped at the time so she couldn't talk to him. But the way she was being strong-armed by both her fiance and his father made me so angry that I was in Laramie's corner all the way.

Where at first Sammi Jo came across as weak and pliable, her strength and determination grew as hard and fast as her love for Laramie. All she needed was something worth fighting for. Pick this one up and enjoy it. By the end of the book, you'll be rooting for Sammi Jo and Laramie just as much as I was - and you'll be wanting to wring a certain wedding planner's neck! 4 of 5 stars.

I love a romance, with a SEAL, even better, and a cowboy is great—put them together and let me catch my breath! Tawny Weber has done it and man how she has! Cowboy is his call sign, women are his game, that is when he isn't on a mission, then he is all business. When you play with bombs you take it seriously.

His team can't wait to come home either to their wives or to as many women as they can manage during their leave time. Laramie is different. He gets all the women he wants and sometimes more when he is state side between missions. His leave is for solitude. Except for this time. His old friend that he protected and fought for and with is all grown up and needs him. He just has to keep reminding himself that Sammy Jo is all grown up—and engaged. So what if she needs his help? That's all it can be. Right!

Tracking down the missing husband to be isn't what he planned. The more he learns about the man and the situation the less he likes it and the harder it is. I mean the harder it is to keep his hands off of his friend. Their time together, although mixed with plenty of tension of the man/woman kind, there is a strong bond of friendship forging stronger than their youthful time. He's never felt this way about a woman and when the gorgeous sexy thing says she doesn't worry about the sex part, nothing to get all fussed up about—it's pretty difficult not to take the challenge even when it wasn't meant that way.

This is sweet, yeah, even as hot as it is the characters are honorable, and honest and so right for each other. You will fall for both of them and be so glad to know this is a roman since we all know they has to be that ending HEA.

A heartfelt recommend for this one. I receive an ARC for an honest review.

Sammi is a young woman that has worked hard to rise above her mother's reputation in her small town. She went to college and is working as an assistant manger at the inn that she has worked since she was fifteen. Sammi has convinced herself that marrying the boss's son will be a good thing and that they can have a solid relationship even if there isn't anything more to it. As it gets closer to the day, the doubts increase.

Laramie is back in town for his annual hometown visit. He is a Navy Seal and enjoys the work and the women that it attracts. His time home is supposed to be quiet but Sammi asks for his help when her fiance goes missing. He has helped her in the past and she knows how to convince him to assist. Laramie does not expect the strong attraction he has for her. It is difficult for him to resist pursing it especially when she indicates she has feelings too.

I liked the story. I really liked Sammi Jo. She really tries hard to do what is right and is honest about her feelings and choices. It did turn me off a little to Laramie to see how he was with so many women and had no real feelings for any of them when the story opens. The scene in the bar did not present him in a good light. Their chemistry is strong between Laramie and Sammi Jo and I enjoyed their interactions. I would have loved to see an epilogue to see what the future brings for these two.

It is a pretty quick read with the story moving along fast. I liked that they both narrated parts of the story. Without it, I don't think I would have been able to get over those initial bad feelings about Laramie.

One deliciously hot romance!

For Navy SEAL Christian "Cowboy" Laramie, R&R means three weeks of peace and quiet at his remote childhood cabin in the woods. The last thing Laramie needs is the grown-up version of his childhood friend Sammie-Jo showing up in a wedding dress looking like every confirmed bachelor's worst nightmare - even if she has become the most beautiful lady Laramie has ever laid eyes on.

Sammie-Jo Wilson has worked hard for everything she has and is determined that she is not going to be like her mother. She has it all planned out in her head - dream job - check, even if she hasn't got that promised promotion; a decent roof over her head - check, even if her boss does pay her lower wages because he considers her little apartment as room and board; and the perfect fiance - even if this isn't a love match and she's hearing cheating rumours just weeks before the wedding. Then the unexplainable happens when her fiance Sterling is kidnapped.

Sammie-Jo knows her only chance in helping Sterling is getting her childhood friend Laramie to help her find Sterling since she's been warned not to go to the police or Sterling's father for help. Little does Sammie-Jo know life is fixing to get real interesting.

Can Laramie help Sammie-Jo without giving in to the sizzling chemistry between them? Will Sammie-Jo's life ever be the same after spending so much time with the hot Navy SEAL?

**** 1/2 STARS ❤️

Every year Christian "Cowboy" Laramie takes leave and heads back to his hometown for rest and relaxation. A ladies man, Laramie takes this time to be on his own.

That is until this year when a childhood friend trips herself back into his life and disrupts his relaxation - all while wearing a wedding dress. What Laramie believed was going to be a peaceful leave suddenly becomes turned upside down when Sammi Jo, the girl underneath the wedding tulle, asks him a favor: find her fiancé.

Now it's up to Laramie to find the groom all while resisting temptation from the bride. Laramie may be a ladies man, but he has rules. Can he keep resisting temptation when it keeps throwing itself right at him? And if he takes Sammi up on her offer, will it be anything more than a one night stand and a broken heart left in Laramie's wake?

Weber once again spins a romantic tale with a dash of suspense and a lot of heat within the pages. Laramie is the epitome of ladies man, but with a sexy appeal. Add the cowboy edge and this man is a panty melter. Sammi Jo is sweet, but naive; although she does manage to have Laramie panting after her with her innocence and her approach to him. I enjoyed the storyline and would definitely recommend this as a read to relax with!

I always knew there's more to Cowboy, than met the ladies. There was something about him, that gave away the deeper waters running through him, than just the playboy reputation. And I enjoyed getting to know him better in this story.
I also enjoyed the humor, the farce of the wedding planning, and the banter between Sammi Jo and Laramie. The story provided lots of laughs as the small town insanity around the inn and the wedding was unfolding.
I loved that Sammi Jo and Laramier had a connection from the childhood. That he had been her hero, the one who taught her how to read, and guarded her against the bullies. That Sammi Jo had no doubt in her mind, that Laramie would help her, because of their past, made me swoon.
The attraction between them is sizzling. Those two together are something else, but it is not only physical attraction. It was being attracted to the other person, their mind, dreams, goals, and wishes for life, who they are, and what they want to accomplish, they genuinely liked and enjoyed each other, that made it adorable.

Christian "Cowboy" Laramie is all smooth-talking cowboy, as well as a dedicated SEAL. He's enjoying his success with the ladies too much and he's not getting hitched any time soon. His childhood friend Sammi Jo Wilson though he just a few weeks away from doing just that. If only she loved her future husband... During a dress fitting, she panics and runs! Laramie was just starting a three-week leave in his hometown, to be alone and finally get some peace and quiet, but Sammi's fiancé has been kidnapped, and Laramie's promise from a long time ago must be fulfilled...

Oh to have a fictional hero as delectable as the hottie on the cover! Tawny Weber has penned a lovely story with a sexy cowboy and a genuinely sweet heroine, filled with sexy times and fun banter. We also get glimpses of our favourite SEALs, a great story with some suspense, great characters all around, and a Tawny Weber book wouldn't be complete without some food, and in A SEAL'S DESIRE, those tidbits are quite memorable indeed! Settle down in cowboy country for a good time and a steamy romance!

This is a fun and entertaining read. I adored both Laramie and Sammi Jo. He is a good man who never thought that he would be caught by true love but life takes him by surprise and love puts an arrow through his heart. Sammi Jo is so very innocent and trusting it can break your heart at times. She lets life pass her by so much. I loved seeing her and Laramie find their way. Watching Sammi Jo grow and realize her own potential made for a nice read. She begins to find herself with the help of Laramie and his love. I enjoyed the camaraderie between the Seal team as well, we did not see a lot of it but with what we did you can see the deep connection and friendship that the men have. Sammi Jo has her own friendships that made a nice addition to the story. Her best friend is always there for her no matter what. The friendship that Sammi Jo and Laramie have adds to their story as well. The bond only grows between them as he helps her with finding her fiancée. I enjoyed watching Laramie and Sammi Jo find a way to grab for their happy ever after.

WOW! My first thoughts after finishing this great book were WOW! Then, now what do I do. This is one of those reads that leaves you wishing for more. I wanted to keep reading, I wanted to keep being part of the lives of the characters. This is a perfect read for fans of Navy SEALs, but also for those who just enjoy great characters. The setting is fun, the story-line is engaging and fast paced. The characters are realistic and keep you not only entertained but eager to find out more about them and what's happening next. I love this whole series and fans of that Harlequin will want to add this one to their collection, but also those who are new to the line or the series. It's part of the "Uniformly Hot" series, but can be read as a stand alone title. Those who are new to Tawny Weber's writing are in for a treat and will be eager to read more of her work. Those who are familiar with her writing will devour this one and be thrilled to add it to your bookshelf. This is a keeper shelf read! I highly recommend it to any and all who enjoy quick, fast paced stories that leave you both thrilled to have read it and a little sad to know you finished it.

Wow! What a great read!!!

Sammi was in engaged to her bosses son & it was a marriage of just friendship. When she was told that sterling has a girlfriend that he had been seeing she confronts him & he tells her they aren't married yet! Well it just so happens that he ends up getting kidnapped and she is not allowed to tell anyone about it. She hears gossip her old friend is back in town & she figures Laramie can help her find sterling. But the end up connecting & it puts doubt in her mind about why she is getting married. Sammi comes to find that she is in love with Laramie but she ruins it by saying she couldn't leave. Laramie as one last thing for her he finds sterling & said he is leaving. When sterling is brought back he doesn't contact Sammi & she has already made her mind up she was calling off the wedding. When she goes to the Barclays she also finds out she will never run the inn & be able to make decisions. With this realization she knows there is no other place for her than to be at Laramie side. Laramie finds Sammi in his bed at the cabin when he was trying to leave. Sammi told him that there is no other place she would rather be that where ever he is as long as they are together.

This author sure knows how to keep us readers coming back. Also for each one that gets bitten per say by the love bug is a delight to see them get conquered. This one I thought was quite adventurous and fast past because of some of the content. This seal thinks he is there just peace and quiet but Christian has another thing coming. He also has quite the rep but Laramie does have some rules thank goodness. Sammi Jo really needs help from someone to rescue her fiance when it comes down to the wire and he calls saying do not tell anyone but in her heart she knows she has to do something. She then goes to her friend or whom she thought was then the tables turn and things get hot. This author now has you embroiled in the dilemma that she is in and as the web becomes unraveled you will dance with glee when the ones that really need to be together start to fuse melting will commence. I also enjoy how this author will have the crap hit the fan as the old saying goes with the truth seeing light of day but she will give you one bang up ending seeing on what really gets fulfilled when it comes to desire.

I loved this book! In fact, once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down until the end. If you like reading Tawny's SEAL books, you will love this one. It's about Navy SEAL Christian (Cowboy) Laramie and Sammi Jo Wilson. He takes some leave and goes back to the small town where he grew up, going up in the mountains to his old house. Sammi Jo crashes his solitary existence there, appearing in her wedding gown. She needs help in finding her wealthy fiancee who has been kidnapped, and since she and Christian are old friends, she wants his help. He is a very well-known and popular ladies man and tells her that he will be in touch when he finds out something, but he doesn't want to risk damaging her reputation if she is seen by anyone in town with him. Actually he doesn't want to even get involved with Sammi Jo or find her kidnapped fiancee. He has a rule about not being with engaged or married women, and he is very attracted to her, and she to him...

I was given an ARC for an honest review, and was not compensated in any way. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hot cowboy and sexy Seal all roll up in one hunk of a man, how can you go wrong. Laramie, is the love and leaves them kind of a guy as he doesn't want to be tied down yet.

He returns home to rest from world, including women when Sammi hunts him down. Sammi and Laramie went to school together and were friends, so Sammi knows she can trust Laramie. Sammi needs help to find her fiancée who was kidnapped and wants Laramie's help.

I wasn't impressed with Sammi as she needed to grow up and face life. She is engaged to a two-timing piece of sh*t and wimped out on confronting him or even going out of the engagement.

Having said that, Laramie teaches Sammi through sexual conversations at first and physical passionate love making later on to see what life can be. Sammi still is unsure of Laramie's love and wants to talk to her fiancée once he is found.

Does Sammi marry or does she finally put her big girl's panties on?

Wonderful hot passionate scenes within this story and I would recommend as a good afternoon read.

Sammi Jo and Laramie knew each other from when they were kids. Although Sammi Jo was a tough little scrapper, Laramie had been known to step in as her protector. They grew up and followed different paths.

When Laramie and Sammi Jo reconnected, it was because she needed Laramie's help in rescuing her fiance. Sammi was one of the only people that knew he was a SEAL, and also knew the real Laramie beneath the facade.

Laramie and Sammi Jo were combustible. Neither was looking to change their lifestyle and both initially fought the attraction. This is a fast paced read. You will find yourself cheering for them to get together, for Sammi to stand up for herself, for Laramie to realize it ok to feel what he is feeling, and finally for that HEA.

I do recommend this book. I just wish it was a little longer. I have read some of the writer's other SEAL books. This one was not my favorite, but, it was still pretty decent. I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a great book; this is the eleventh book in the Uniformly Hot Seals series by Tawny Weber. This book can be read as a standalone, but once you read this one you will want to go back and read the others. The books in this series just keep getting better. Christian Laramie is a Navy Seal and is an expert with explosives and knows how to avoid them. What he isn't prepared for is Sammi Jo Wilson. Sammi shows up in her wedding dress, asking him to find her kidnapped fiancé. The problem is neither one of them can deny the searing heat between them. This book has a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. This was such a great read and full of surprises. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
