The Winslows were one of the families that sailed to what became the US on the Mayflower in 1620. This book charts their endeavour as well as that of the others who sailed with them. It's amazing they survived considering how ill-prepared they seemed to be. A lot of detail in this book but my only real bugbear is that the print was tiny and it made it difficult to concentrate at times.

A good read if you enjoy the in-depth knowledge of the reservation wars. Felt sorry for the native Indians in how we considered ourselves to be the superior race! Again religion was a major factor!
