Tom is the author of three travel memoirs –Johnny Ginger’s Last Ride (Macmillan), The Moonshine Mule and The Road to Timbuktu (Constable). After completing a degree in nursing, Tom drew on his experiences in his very successful memoir Nurse! Nurse! under the pseudonym Jimmy Frazier.
I want to obtain this book desperartly as I was told by one of my friend that i was mentioned in this book When the outhor was travelling in Turkey he visited Dalyan and had a very long and interesting chat about life in Turkey and the strong traditions of the Turkish people. My friend faxed me 4 pages of this book where i was mentioned.
One of my favourite travel books, written in an easygoing style, I have re-read it many times. It speaks to my love of the journey, of discovery, of personal goals and achievement. I'm sure it played no small part in my own forays into cycle touring
