The Prince's Royal Dilemma

Rate this book
Lovely ladies of Tesoro Del Mar, it's your lucky day! The brand-new—and undeniably dreamy—Crown Prince Rowan must marry in six months or give up the throne.

But you've got competition; my spies tell me that Rowan only has eyes for the royal nanny. The luscious Lara Brennan is as loving to the children as she is exasperating—and unforgettable—to the prince. But gorgeous or not, innocent Lara can't be a true contender for Rowan's heart; since she wasn't born in our kindgom, she is not eligible to be his bride. It's going to be a tough choice for leading the country he loves, or loving the woman who captured his heart….

Brenda’s first love was reading.

According to her mother, she fell in love with books even before she could read and was always content when she had a book in her hands. It didn’t surprise anyone when she decided that she wanted to be a writer, but she was encouraged to pursue “a real job” first.

So she did—she became a lawyer. Two years of practicing law taught her a lot about the world—and reinforced her determination to become a writer. Because in fiction, she could promise a happy ending!

Thankfully, she had already met and married a wonderful man to inspire her fictional heroes. And when she was on maternity leave after the birth of their first son, he encouraged her to take a romance writing course at the local community college. It was while enrolled in this class that she completed her first (still unpublished) manuscript.

Three more manuscripts and another baby followed. And then, in June 2002, she finally got the call from Susan Litman—an editorial assistant and contest judge—offering to buy the manuscript she’d submitted to RWA’s Golden Heart® contest as “From This Moment.” This story was re-titled McIver’s Mission and released by Silhouette Intimate Moments in May 2003.

OMG! toward the end of the book. I just want to yell Lara for not saying yes to Rowan proposal. But than I understand why she doesn't yes at first. I glad that she get to find out who is really her father and I never expect it to be her uncle's brother, who die in a car accident, to be her father. So while Lara was away with the children in Ireland, Rowan was on TV to one get the people to help me vote, so he can married the one he love, and secondly, proclaiming his love to her on live TV. And at the end he get the people vote and he proposal to Lara again and this time she said yes and they got married. I would mostly likely reread this book again.

This is quite possibly the worst book I have ever read. It was another of the free romance novels that I got from a friend at work as part of a joke present. It was horribly written, with a dumb plot and flat characters to boot. I am getting the sense that romance novels are not for me.

I can't decide whether to dislike this book on principle or admit that its rather adorable. The whole situation is frankly cliched and over done and the author doesn't attempt to try to make it unike in most any way, but the charachters are still relatable and adorable.
