Hardback book containing questions and answers on Natural History, People and Events, Medecines and the Body, Geography and the Earth, Science and Technology and General Knowledge
The version I read was quite dated (1978) so much so that I doubt the veracity of some of the facts.
Although organized in chapters with broad ranges (Natural History, People and Events, Medicine and the Body, Geography and the Earth, Science and Technology, and General Knowledge) the questions within a chapter are arranged in no way that I could discern. Sometimes questions that appeared on the same page seemed downright bizarre (example: What is a Meteorite and How is Soap Made or What is the Coccyx and Who Discovered Penicillin)
The questions also have a distinct British flavor to them, not surprising as it published in London.
Not your typical fact book, this one and that makes it worth reading, as some of these questions will probably never pop up in fact books published these days.
