There's a reason Robin Bielman is one of my go-to authors:

Ten books read.
48 stars in total.

THIS is why. The lady never fails; from the romantic first kiss which induces a serious case of the butterflies, to the grand gesture that will leave your heart singing, she has a gift of bringing her reader a captivating story and couple to become emotionally invested in.

description

Blame it on the Kiss is no exception. With an undeniable chemistry, Bryce and Honor's journey brings everything from fun and flirting to passion and intimacy. And, as the bond between them builds, it brings the emotion to the forefront as these are two people who are both afraid of being hurt.

description

This couple will have you cheering them on from the very start. I laughed at the humour and sighed at the romance but I appreciated Honor and Bryce for the people they were; real, relatable, frustrating at times and loveable. And with Sophie and Zane featuring throughout, along with a great cast of secondary characters it brought that close-knit family feel I love.

Blame it on the Kiss is a superb addition to Robin's Kisses in the Sand series and I look forward to seeing what she treats us to next.

4.5 stars.

3.5 - "We've come this far..." Stars!

The second book in the Kisses in the Sand series focuses on a couple whose connection causes more than a few feelings of guilt as they also try to navigate their grief for the loss of a loved one.

I think the subject matter in Blame it on the Kiss is one that any author is going to struggle to get the right balance with, in that Honor’s best friend was also Bryce’s ex-girlfriend, and she died. Honor cannot deny her feelings for Bryce after running into him months after it happened, and trying to avoid him for the most part, but feels like she is betraying her best-friends memory because of it.

"Like what you see..?"

"I don’t know what you’re talking about."

"I could show you."

Bryce sees things a little differently, not in a callous or unfeeling way, but seeing as Payton had dumped him prior to her death, the feelings of grief and guilt are for slightly different reasons, especially as he comes to realize that his feelings for Honor are completely different and a whole lot stronger than the ones he had for her best friend.

"I may be clean cut on the outside, but make no mistake… I like to get very, very dirty when nobody’s looking."

There were parts of this book I loved; the banter between the guys when they were together, the progression of the series as a whole, and there were parts where Bryce and Honor were together that were really emotive and heartfelt.

But for me the balance I previously mentioned was a little bit off in relation to the inclusion and use of the deceased but not forgotten best friend, and the reactions Honor had to some of her interactions with Bryce, especially in the first half of the book. There were points where I struggled to understand Honor’s motivations, she was a little inconsistent in her direction, and guilt seemed to be used as an excuse more than the truth in explanation to more than one scenario when she wanted to back away from dealing with her feelings for Bryce.

"No one has ever thought about me the way you do."

This was still a pretty easy read, and for the most part enjoyable, tropes used more than writing played a part in the lower rating, and on the whole this series has been a really enjoyable reading adventure.

Slick's review posted at Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

I appreciate a book where both the hero and heroine have to overcome some past issues to move forward but they do it without a lot of whining or big blow ups or a whole lot of drama. While it took a little time, I was extremely happy that they both figured out what they wanted about the same time and both were willing to risk a lot to be together. For two people, a shared past with one woman, leaves them questioning everything especially the growing feelings for each other and makes Blame It On The Kiss a complicated, sophisticated and sexy story that I could not put down.

With every good deed and every unselfish act Honor Mitchell proves to everyone around her what a good person she is but an event from her past keeps her from forming relationships and allowing herself to love but fulfilling the wish list of her dead best friend is something she knows she can do with the possible exception of one item but she'll deal with that when she gets to in for now she has to deal with the man that she has no business thinking about much less wanting, the man her best friend ditched before she took her last breath.
Ever since his near miss one night stand with his ex-girlfriend's best friend in which he finds out his ex has passed away, Bryce Bishop has found it hard to trust women. But there is something about Honor that sets his blood on fire and makes him want to help her cross of a few items the wish list especially the one about a one night stand.

There was so much I enjoyed about this book from the way these two circled around each other and tried to not give in to the heat between them, to the time they spent together as friends to their agreed one night together that turns into so much more. In between it all you saw their defenses crumbling, their hearts opening up, and some feelings developing even though it scared them both and had them questioning everything they were doing.

I always appreciate a complex storyline and this book was not only that, but there was an underlying sweetness to it that made me smile and a simmering sensuality that rounded it out and made it one simply outstanding romance.

Robin Bielman once again wrote a sweet, fun, flirty and emotional story that I couldn't put down.

Honor is a girl living with regrets, she believes that she is too spontaneous to finish a thing, she believes that she hurts others and she doesn't think that she is capable of loving.

Bryce on the other hand has been hurt by his past and though he is a man that wants a family and a steady relationship, he doesn't want one now.He doesn't want his heart to be broken again.

When they share a kiss their passion combusts but they are both reluctant to invest more. They cannot resist though their attraction so they start a game of flirting, with no strings attached relationship.

The time they spend together brings them close and slowly love is in the air. They cannot turn down their feelings but both being afraid of getting hurt are they going to give it a chance?

I loved Honor because she is a girl sensitive and caring and Bryce because he is a decent guy, a man that is protective and sexy and wants to give everything to Honor. I loved all the time they spent together and Robin had amazing ideas about their dates.

We also saw great scenes about the characters from the previous book and they were so sweet. It was so good to connect with them again.

This was a sexy book with humor and an adorable couple that will steal your heart!

With each book by Robin Bielman that I read, I fall more in love with her characters and their sassy, sizzling, fun, emotional journeys. Blame it on the Kiss is one of my favorites. Honor and Bryce are such good, likable people who really deserve a happy ending. I laughed with them, cried with them and cheered them on throughout the ups and downs of their emotional journey.
I enjoy the sizzle (and these two do sizzle) but I love the heart of the story so much more. So many #FEELS. The supporting cast is terrific, adding humor, tension and realism to their small, friendly beach town!
Outstanding read!

Sam’s top 3 reasons for LOVING Blame it on the Kiss:

1) It is a damn fine kiss, and you get to start blaming it right there in Chapter 1. Read it and weep!

2) A heroine committed to completing a very naughty bucket list, and a hero torn between preventing her…or participating. ;)

3) A Scrabble game that will make you stand up and cheer.

Before I started Blame it on the Kiss, I expected to adore it, because I adore everything from this author, yet I was secretly thinking, “Sorry, Robin Bielman. I can’t possibly love any couple more than I love Sophie and Zane,” (from Keeping Mr. Right Now, book 1 of the Kisses in the Sand series). She proved me wrong! Bryce and Honor’s story is an emotional roller coaster. Yes, my pulse pounded and I got breathless in parts—this is a Red Hot Bliss, after all. Their journey includes giddy highs and heart stopping lows, but like any great ride, you’re going to love every second! Strap yourself in and enjoy.

First off, I have to say Blame it on the Kiss is my favorite Robin Bielman book to date. I even have to admit that Honor and Bryce are also my favorite couple. That’s saying a lot since I generally love all of her couples.

Bryce Bishop is truly a good guy. He oozes the “forever” vibe. A family and a white picket fence is him. He thought he was on track to have all that and more until Payton dumped him via voicemail. Now, he doesn’t trust his heart or women.

Honor Mitchell is a free-spirit with a heart of gold. Unfortunately, she’s been living with regret for way too long. It’s this regret that she’s been using as a crutch and holding herself back. She’s so accustomed to failing or thinking that she’s going to fail, that she doesn’t even try. But when her best friend since kindergarten passes away, she’s determined to fulfill the promise Payton asked her to.

Payton’s list of “Things to Do Before I Turn 25” consists of: 1) Have a one night stand 2) Get a tattoo 3) Take a hot air balloon ride 4) Open an antique store with my best friend 5) Fall in love.

Honor is actually in the process of working to checking one night stand off her list when she meets a guy named Bryce. Before things go too far, the two realize who the other is and backs off. But there’s no denying there are sparks between them. Turns out, Bryce was Payton’s boyfriend, before she died.

Things for Honor and Bryce get complicated when they try to avoid each other. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately for them, that’s impossible when they have to spend the weekend together at their best friends’ wedding.

“I need to kiss you, Honor. One kiss the way I want to kiss you, and then we can be done.”

One kiss will just never be enough for these two. At the time when Payton broke up with him, he never knew why she did it. Honor keeps thinking of Bryce as belonging to Payon and feels bad about thinking about “Payton’s” guy that way. Blame it on the Kiss is special in that it’s an unbelievable story of friendship. Robin takes the readers along Honor and Bryce’s journey of recovering from the loss of someone they both cared about. You get to see Honor struggle to keep a promise, learn to trust and have faith in herself, and forgive herself for things she thinks she’s done wrong. You see Bryce falling head over heels in love with Honor and willing to do anything to see her spread her wings and discover who he and everyone knows her to be. I can’t forget about the chemistry. They totally have chemistry.

“I may be clean cut on the outside, but make no mistake. I like to get very, very dirty when nobody’s looking.”

What? Wow. What happened to mister nice guy? Trust me, he is still definitely there. Bryce manages to make eating waffle fries sexy. There are a couple of secondary characters I would love to read about, so I am definitely looking forward to returning to White Strand Cove.

Robin Bielman is back with another Kisses in the Sands novel and I absolutely loved it. But that’s no surprise as this author is one of my favourites and I always know that when I pick up one of her books that I will be in for a fantastic read and this was no different. It’s gone straight to my keeper shelf.

This is a beautiful story of finding love and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, even if someone else has to do the initial push. But when the results are Bryce and Honor together it’s so worth it.

For Honor, who just lost her best friend Payton to illness, completing Payton’s “things to do before I turn 25 list” is a must. Easy done right?

Have a one night stand.
Get a tattoo.
Take a hot air balloon ride.
Open an antique store with my best friend.
Fall in love.

Not so much as it turns out. Especially when Payton’s ex-boyfriend Bryce finds out about the list and wants to help fulfil it. Problem is they almost completed number 1, before they found out who each other was not that long ago, but the sparks that started then are flaring now and how long can they hold out before it becomes too much to ignore?

“I need to kiss you, Honor. One kiss the way I want to kiss you, and then we can be done.”

Bryce who was dumped without a reason by Payton is willing to help Honor with the list, it should be easy as he has lost trust in women after Payton. Helping a friend, no problems. Except for the feelings she brings out in him. Possessive, happy, wanting more type of feelings.

When one kiss reminds them of their chemistry then leads to more and more, things start to get hot and complicated. Are they betraying Payton? Where can this go? Do they want more? But as they start to fall for the other, will past hurts keep them apart or push them together?

“I could breathe you in all day, Honor. You’re like sunshine in a bottle and I can’t get enough of you.” She touched her nose to his. “I’m kind of stuck on you, too.”

Be ready for a sniffle inducing grovel scene. Okay maybe it was just me sniffling but it was just so darn cute. We also get to catch up with Zane and Sophie from the previous book Keeping Mr Right Now and boy is it fun catching up with them.

I’ve already said I loved this book and I will say it again. I loved it. From Bryce and Honor, to the townsfolk (especially the Street Team, they are priceless) to the town itself, everything. I adore this writer and she knows it. I can’t wait for my next big trip to White Strand Cove and I may need to make a return visit or two before then.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

**I was provided an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review. I did not receive any compensation for providing my opinion.**

WOW….Blame it on the Kiss by Robin Bielman is a fabulous book. This story will take you on a journey of emotions. It is sweet, emotional and funny. I have never read anything from Robin Bielman and I am now a fan to see what else she has. I know I am going to be hooked on this author.

Blame it on the Kiss is about Honor, a girl that struggles with following through on anything to avoid the possibility of disappointment or hurt, and Bryce, a sports agent that has given up on love and is looking to have a little no strings fun. These two have instant chemistry but their connection to Honor’s best friend (Bryce’s ex girlfriend) who passed away and a client that Bryce is trying to sign (Honor’s brother) put multiple road blocks up for these two. Then there is “the list” that seems to keep pushing these two together.

The storyline is great and moves along well. I was instantly hooked and had trouble putting this book down. The characters all add to this story and drew me, as the reader, in. The characters are a lot of fun and I hope that there is more to come with some of the secondary characters in this book. I would love more!!!!

Robin Bielman is an auto buy author for me, and this book just proves it even more. I could not put this book down, a sweet emotional, laugh out loud story of Honor and Bryce finding love.

Honor is trying to complete "the list" that her friend left her after she died. Bryce her friend's ex finds the list and wants to help Honor to fulfill the list. Neither are looking for a relationship, but the chemistry is flowing between them. Two things on the list are a one night fling and to fall in love. They both agree to the one night fling but falling in love was not part of it. As Bryce said, " I could breathe you in all day Honor" . Making this relationship work has many obstacles along the way and brings Honor out of her comfort zone at times.

I now have a new book boyfriend, Bryce. He is so tender hearted, I too am in love. I highly recommend this book on the journey of falling in love.

This sweet and sexy contemporary romance (A Red Hot Bliss title meaning we can expect some sexy times!) is the story of Honor and Bryce. They have a complicated history due to Honor’s best friend Payton who was secretly dating Bryce but dumped him (with no explanation) when she found out she was sick, subsequently dying and leaving a bucket list for Honor to accomplish. One of the items on the list is to have a one night stand, which Honor almost did with Bryce until realizing who he was at the last moment and averting disaster. Only now, a few months later, they are both involved in a mutual friend’s wedding and though the spectre of Payton still lies between them, neither of them can deny that they were attracted to each other before and still are now. Can Bryce convince Honor to leave the past where it belongs and consider a future with him?

I really enjoyed this story! Honor is a lovely, friendly woman, determined to do right by her deceased best friend and tackle everything on her bucket list. It’s important to her to do this for several reasons, including events in her past that have made her believe she is unable to follow through when things get tough. Accomplishing the goals on the list will help her prove to herself that she can handle commitment and other people’s expectations of her. Bryce is a wonderful man – strong, caring, and thoughtful. He too has felt the grief of Payton’s passing, though he is beginning to discover that he hadn’t really known her well at all. But Honor is someone he definitely wants to know better, and when he finds out about the list, he is determined to help her in any way possible, no strings attached. He wants her to succeed and learn to trust in herself. Bryce comes across as a really nice guy, seeing where Honor needs the most help, such as with her antique store and giving her just the right kind of assistance without taking over. I liked how he wasn’t pushy or overbearing, always letting Honor set the pace both in and out of the bedroom.

Honor tries hard to fight her attraction to Bryce over a sense of duty and guilt, believing at first that he should be off limits because he belonged to Payton. But the more they get to know each other and the more she sees the kind of solid, trustworthy person he is, the more she realizes that she needs to live her own life to honor her friend. The attraction between them smolders right from the get go and leads to some steamy, sexy scenes.

Kissing had always ranked high on her list of favorite things to do, but Bryce took it to a whole new level. Forget about his mouth on her fingertips, this linked to all her happy zones and more.
He’d literally swept her off her feet and his kiss quickened the beat of her heart. His lips were soft and warm and hungry. His kiss moved through her like warm honey, filling all the places inside her that had been cold for so long. He slid his tongue along the seam of her lips, licking her before he pressed further. She willingly opened to him, stroked his tongue, kissed him harder. He groaned. He tasted like champagne and everything good as he delved deeper and committed a full-on assault inside her mouth.

The secondary characters in the story, in particular Sophie and Zane who featured in the first book in the Kisses In the Sand Series, Keeping Mr. Right Now, and Bryce’s colleague Danny added lots of lively banter and humor, and were delightful to see again.

Besides the complication of Payton, Honor’s younger brother Cooper is a skateboarder that Bryce, as a sports agent, wants to sign on with his agency. This creates some issues for them as Cooper wants his private life separate from his public one and Honor and Bryce getting involved crosses that line. But despite the rocky start they get and the conflicts around them, they do eventually find a very satisfying happy ending. It was a thoroughly enjoyable read and a great addition to the series. I’m looking forward to whomever’s story is next (crossing my fingers it will be Danny)! 4.5 stars.

Posted on What I'm Reading

YAY! We have book two of the Kisses in the Sand books. In Blame It On The Kiss we focus on Honor Mitchell and Bryce Bishop. Okay, I love this story. It's one of stories I just couldn't put down. Let share the greatness of this story and hope to not overshare, because I LOVE IT!.

If you read Keeping Mr. Right Now you would remember Honor and Bryce from the previous story. Honor is the one to help Sophie's revamp her image, and Bryce is best friends with Zane also his agent. Now we are getting ready for Zane and Sophie's wedding. However, a lot has happen and here we go.

Bryce and Honor kind of have a past together, sort of. Here's how they are linked together: Payton. Who's Payton you ask? Well, she's the ex-girlfriend to Bryce, and best friend to Honor. Yeah, gets kind of complicated, but she's no longer in the living. Anyway, her memory is haunting these people. Basically, Payton never told Bryce she was extremely sick and just dumped. She kind of left Bryce with a shattered heart. So he decided to make a rule:
Never get too attached and never give a woman power to damage his heart again.
Damn, that sucks for the next girl. Then we have Honor who has been dubbed by her friends as the serial dater. Yeah, these two are going to make a fine pair. If that wasn't there only problem, it would be Payton.

Payton plays a huge part in this story, because every time Honor and Bryce draw close together they remember Payton. Talk about a major buzz kill. They are both compound by guilt, but more on Honor's side. A lot of Honor's guilt stems from a relationship that had gone wrong in high school. Her ex-boyfriend did a number on her. He was a total jerk for calling her selfish. Anyway.

LOVED Blame It On The Kiss because it was a fantastic read that dealt with overcoming guilt and regret. Plus, there were some fantastic lines like:
Walking with our heads down trying to pull the weight of our mistakes doesn't make them go away. Choice is the only thing that conquers regret. Choosing to learn from our past and waking up with hope on the pillowcase beside us rather than remorse.
Not only that it had some humorous parts especially, when Midge and her "Street Team" enter the scene. Those ladies crack me up. So, if you want a happy sappy story with a little more steam than a normal Bliss book, you might consider Blame It On The Kiss. This story can be read as standalone if you haven't had a chance to read Keeping Mr. Right Now.

Honor Mitchell is a beautiful woman with a free-spirit. Not used to sticking to one thing or finishing anything, Honor is determined to complete her best friend's dying wish: a list of things that Payton wanted to do before she turned 25.

On that list:
1. Have a one night stand.
2. Get a tattoo.
3. Take a hot air balloon ride.
4. Open an antique store with my best friend.
5. Fall in love.

Honor almost crossed off number one months ago until she introduced herself to her one night stand to be and realized he was Payton's secret ex-boyfriend. Now she has to get through an entire three day wedding party with Bryce who is the best man.

Bryce Bishop knows better than to trust women after his ex-girlfriend Payton broke up with him via voicemail and never returned his calls. He knows he especially cannot trust her best friend Honor and yet the attraction he feels towards her is overwhelming. Playing his nice guy card, Bryce offers to help Honor complete her list. The trouble? He may be at risk of losing his heart to her and Honor is too free spirited to want to settle down.

Blame it on the Kiss is sweet, flirty, and fun. Honor and Bryce are utterly different in regards as to who they are and what the want. Honor is free spirited and not the type to commit to anything or settle down. Bryce is the white picket fence and family to come home to type. And yet for all their differences, the chemistry and connection between these two characters cannot be denied. I dare say that Bryce and Honor may very well be one of my favorite book couples.

Bryce tells Honor during the book that he just needs ONE kiss. Just one kiss and they can be done, but for this couple one kiss can never and will never be enough.

While Bryce and Honor try and fight the attraction to one another, they also have to contend with the guilt of being Payton's best friend and ex-boyfriend which just makes a complicated situation even more complicated. Even with all that though, Bryce and Honor make readers believe in happy endings and wish for one for this couple.

Robin Bielman takes readers on a journey filled with hopes, dreams, aspirations, loss, and regrets. And love - don't forget the love. Beautifully written, Blame it on the Kiss gives the readers something that will touch each one. And as for me, I think I will be making a list to celebrate my life as every birthday comes. Now what to put on my 'What to do before I'm 28' list...

FIVE utterly outstanding STARS!

Blame It on the Kiss is the second book in the Kisses in the Sand series from Robin Bielman and brings about the story of Bryce Bishop and Honor Mitchell, best friends of the lead characters from the first book, Zane Hollander and Sophie Bishop from Keeping Mr. Right Now. When Bryce and Honor's paths crossed in book one, you could tell right away that there was a story there just waiting to be told and I'm glad that book two was about them. Bryce appears to be a straight-laced, intelligent, and career-driven guy but it was enlightening to see that he was also someone who believed in commitment and in happily-ever-afters. On the other hand, we get to know Honor, who was a good friend to Sophie and appears to have been a good friend to Payton as well. She's somewhat different from Bryce, not being the kind to really stick to something for long. The idea of these two somewhat opposites getting together was interesting, especially with the added complication of Payton being Honor's best friend and Bryce's ex-girlfriend.

The predicament that Bryce and Honor initially find themselves in--two people attracted to one another but connected by someone who has passed away and was one's best friend and the other's former flame--is one of the more thought-provoking story lines I've come across in quite a while. Would I have chosen to keep my distance or would I have decided to make a go of it? I liked that there was a great deal of hesitation because that's common and realistic reaction. It was better that they were cautious about pursuing anything between them because if and when they finally decide to do so, they knew it would be worth the risk and the still lingering feelings of guilt. I also liked how important family and friends were for Bryce and Honor, something they share in common with Zane and Sophie. Speaking of Zane and Sophie, I love how their story still played a part here but in a not-so-stealing-the-spotlight kind of way. I've become a fan of the series and can't wait to read Danny Ellis's story. Blame It on the Kiss gets five stars. ♥

I freaking loved Keeping Mr. Right Now and when I finished it, I knew that I had to read Honor’s book no matter what. I loved her in the first book in the series and was really intrigued by her and what happened with Bryce. I needed an explanation and I needed more of them together. I got all of that and more in Blame it on the Kiss. This book was a page-turning, couldn’t put it down, heart racing perfect read. It was an emotional roller coaster that I didn’t want to get off. One minute my chest hurt and I felt like I was going to cry for Honor and Bryce. The next minute I was fanning myself wondering if my Kindle was going to catch on fire.

When I first read about Honor and Bryce, I never expected their backstory to be so complicated. As Honor’s past was unveiled, I totally understood why she was the way she was. I knew something specific would have to happen for her to find peace and I’m glad it did. What initially tied her to Bryce was also complicated and I don’t know how I would have handled the situation. There’s a tricky Girl Code line in place for those situations already, but add in the additional factor that Honor had to deal with and it’s almost not worth it. Unless the man in question is Bryce.

Bryce Bishop is ridiculously perfect. He’s exactly what a book boyfriend is made of. He’s gorgeous, sweet, a dirty talker who knows what he’s doing and he’s not only good to Honor, but to the people around her. If readers do not swoon over Bryce Bishop, then I have to wonder if they aren’t dead inside. There is no way that this man doesn’t make it on book boyfriend lists across the world. Heck, if he was real, I might have to rethink my no marriage and kids thing. The chemistry between Bryce and Honor is out of control from the very beginning of this book and it never ends. I don’t know why they even tried to fight it. But it was fun to watch them try.

I’m going to guess the next book in the series is going to be Danny’s book. I really hope I’m right because I really like Danny and I want to get to know him better, especially know that he’s made the huge life decision that he made at the end of Kiss. I’m also hoping that his love interest is Olivia. I love friends to lovers stories almost as much as I love second chance love stories.

Blame it on the Kiss is the second book in Robin Bielman's Kisses in the Sand series and I was thrilled to see we were getting Bryce and Honor's story! I really enjoyed their banter in Keeping Mr. Right Now, so I was hoping we would see more of them. This was a cute story, but I found myself getting a bit frustrated with their indecisiveness.

I understand the hesitation, I do. Honor feels like she is betraying her best friend Payton, by going after the guy she was in love with- even though Payton broke things off with him long before she passed. Bryce is reluctant to jump into another relationship, because he was left heart broken after Payton ended things. However, the attraction between the two is too powerful to ignore.

Bryce and Honor can't seem to stay away from one another, even after their wedding duties to Sophie and Zane are over. Bryce stumbled across Honor's to do before 25 list, that Payton had made, and is determined to be the one to help her cross of the one-night stand activity. Things get a bit complicated, as Bryce is wanting to be the agent to represent Honor's younger brother, Cooper, and Cooper has made it clear that his work and family do not mix.

I liked both Honor and Bryce's characters, but they could drive me a bit crazy at times. Honor has never really had a serious relationship since high school, and because she wasn't ready to jump into a commitment then, events were put into play that still affect her even today. Bryce is in denial that he can just walk away from Honor after their night together is through. It's so evident she means more than a casual fling!

It was nice to see Sophie and Bryce again though. Seeing them happy and in love definitely made my day!

Overall, this was a cute romance, even though I had a few issues with it. Some of the beginning felt rather awkward and didn't flow as seamlessly as I would have liked with Honor and Bryce. I was happy with the chemistry between the two and the build up, but I do wish we would have gotten a bit more at the same time.

After a disastrous experience when she feared her high school boyfriend wanted to get too serious, Honor has avoided any long term relationship. Less than a year ago, Honor Mitchell’s best friend, Payton, died, leaving Honor with a list of things she’s like her to do before she’s twenty-five. Payton had broken up with her secret boyfriend, Bryce Bishop, when she’d learnt about her terminal illness and had be particularly close to Honor in her final months. There aren’t many things on the list - things like go in a hot air balloon, get a tattoo, open up an antiques shop, have a one-night stand and fall in love….

She’d started working on accomplishing these but had a nasty shock when she tried to have the one-night stand a few months ago - she found out the man in question was Payton’s secret boyfriend! Now Honor and Bryce are going to be thrown together as their friends marry. He’s not got over how Payton finished with him, with no explanation, so doesn’t trust women. He can’t get over his near one night stand with Honor and is seriously attracted to her but it doesn’t feel right because of Payton…. He volunteers to help her achieve some of the items on her list but can they resist temptation?

This is a delectable, sweet, fun and highly emotional romance where past experiences have a traumatic effect on the willingness of both main characters to give their love for each other a chance to develop and flourish. From their highly charged first kiss in the closet, their vulnerabilities, hopes, fears and dreams are exposed to the readers in a way which makes it easy to empathise and relate to them both, really hoping they’ll achieve their HEA. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this as a great escape into romance.

I don't know how Robin comes up with such super endings that invariably leave me with a big smile and a tickled-pink giddiness, but I hope she never stops!

“I may be clean cut on the outside, but make no mistake." He moved even closer, close enough to see her pulse jump at the base of her neck. "I like to get very, very dirty when nobody's looking.”

BLAME IT ON THE KISS by Robin Bielman is a lovely, small-town contemporary romance! It is the second book in her Kisses in the Sand series, but each of these are meant to be read as standalones with interconnected characters. Robin is one of my very favorite authors for warm-fuzzies romances. When I need a sweet, fun read, Robin always delivers!

I loved the heroine and hero! Honor Mitchell, our heroine, is an event specialist for the mayor's office in beach town, White Strand Cove. Bryce Bishop is an agent for pro athletes. We met them both in the first Kisses in the Sand novel, KEEPING MR. RIGHT NOW (http://www.readingbetweenthewinesbook...). Honor and Bryce have instant undeniable chemistry but they also have some major impediments to furthering their relationship including their mutual connection to Payton who has passed away; She had been Honor’s best friend and Bryce’s ex girlfriend. Honor feels guilty to be lusting after her best friend's ex. It's difficult for Bryce, also, as Payton dumped him without a reason once she found out she was dying; So he never got to say goodbye to her.

The story of Honor and Bryce is a little more emotional as compared to the 1st book in this series. It talks about a hidden and suppressed attraction so as to not betray her best friend even though she is dead and the self-worth that Honor thought she is to have. The chemistry between Honor and Bryce was combustible right from the start and it was sad to see their feelings being suppressed and denied.

Honor also felt that she didn't deserve happiness and isn't one who made plans and it took fulfilling her dead best friend's bucket list to get her going.

Bryce was such a sweet gentleman that you can't help not fall in love with. What went on with Payton hurt him and he came to realize he didn't know Payton as well as he thought after all. Honor is the only connection left between him and Payton and as he began spending more time with Honor by coincidence, he finds himself wanting to know Honor more despite his better senses.

I especially thought this quote was really meaningful: "Regret isn't real. It's something invented to punish ourselves."

Robin Bielman has since become one of my must go-to authors. Her books are not just filled of sweet romance and funny banters. They tug at your heartstrings, leaving you full of warm fuzzies. This book is certainly no exception and can be read as a standalone despite the interconnected characters.

I was gifted an advance copy of this book by the author in exchange for a honest review.

What a beautiful feel good Romance. Honor and Bryce have their own demons to exorcise from their past. Bryce is Honor's deceased best friends ex-boyfriend and they both feel guilty for wanting each other. Even though it feels so right, the guilt is eating Honor alive. They both have different mountains to climb to even come close to living again but she's not sure if the journey is worth betraying her deceased best friend.

I've only given you a glimpse of everything that's happening in the story. It's all about forgiveness. Forgiveness to your friends, your past and most of all to yourself. This is a fabulous, heartwarming, feel good romance and one that is worthy of a reread. Robin Bielman really knows how to write a great contemporary romance. I can't wait to see what's next for this amazing author.

Robin Bielman is an auto-read/auto-buy author for me. And this book is definitely worth a read. From the start, it has such a romantic heartfelt read. It is so easy to love both Honor and Bryce. Theirs is a "feel good" story. It does have the spice, the angst, the laughter, and the tears. But it is such a smooth loving read. Their connection was pure magic and despite both of them wanting to stay away, the line drawing them together was too strong.

I felt for Honor because she felt so undeserving of finding her own HEA or having an everlasting love. But her heart won out. And Bryce was pure male, good and bad. His words and flirtations with Honor were smoking hot. And the way he encouraged her too was so sweet. The two of them together was pure gold.

An original, heartfelt premise makes this Red Hot Bliss special. Robin Bielman is one of my favorite romance writers and she delivers strong writing, great plot and multi-dimensional characters in the second novel of her Kisses in the Sand series. And yes, it's a Red Hot Bliss, so...hi to some sexy times!

The heroine, Honor, is lovable, and full of internal conflict trying to do right and 'honor' her friend's wishes. And Bryce...sigh. Hot, adorable...and a good guy. I LOVE a sexy good guy. A perfect beach read, a snuggling in bed read, an at your kid's ball game read---if you are only buying one romance this month (and there are many to love), let it be BLAME IT ON THE KISS. Wonderful romance from the first adorable line to the romantic, touching ending. For me, this one's a homerun!

I really enjoyed Blame It On The Kiss by Robin Bielman.
Book 2 in this series and a lovely sweet romance.
Honor and Bryce are incredibly attracted to eachother, but Bryce is Honor's best friend Payton's EX Boyfriend.
Sadly Payton passed away and left a wishlist that Honor wants to accomplish every item on that list as she finds it difficult to finish any obligation, she really wanted to do this for her friend.
Bryce finds out about the list and wants to help Honor get through the list, the problem is Honor and Bryce almost had a one night stand, before she knew he was her friends EX....So the chemistry between them is sizzling hot beneath the surface.
But Honor is riddled with guilt so trys to stay away from Bryce, but fate has other plans.
I thought this was an emotional read,I felt so bad for both characters because it was clear they had something strong between them...But the guilt of wanting your dead friends ex was eating Honor up and she always considered herself not worthy of Love. Her past relationship made her feel like a failure and unworthy of love.
Could Bryce be the one to change Honor's belief ?
This story was Fantastic ...I was really enthralled by the Honor and Bryce and I loved that we got a sneak peek of Sophie and Zane also.
I wanted them to be together so much and was frustrated at times wanting to just shake Honor by the shoulders and tell her to go for it.
Bryce was so sexy and sweet and patient he never gave up his pursuit of Honor and I loved him for that. But he also had his baggage,so could both of these to broken people heal eachothers wounded hearts.?
Robin Bielman's writing is always Amazing and passionate and through her words I could imagine and feel everything the characters experienced .
Another wonderful story that I highly recommend.
Loved it 5 Stars.
The Audiobook is incredible and Reagan West is absolutely Fantastic narrating all characters.

I received a copy of this book, from the publisher, in exchange for an honest review. In no way did this sway either my review or my rating!

So, I have very mixed feelings after finishing Blame it on the Kiss. I was intrigued by the storyline with the possibilities of tension because we have a best friend/ex-girlfriend who has passed away and the guilt between these two people from her life for feeling an attraction towards one another. What can I say I enjoy messy situations in books. Unfortunately, some of it worked really well for me and some of it didn't. Don't get me wrong I did enjoy it quite a bit, I just wasn't in love with it.

While the core group of main characters I thought were great, I felt like there were just too many secondary characters who took up all of maybe 30 seconds of reading time. Names were constantly being thrown at me and then never really mentioned again and it was hard to keep people straight. Like when a guy named Drew was noticed hitting on Honor it was pointed out that Drew was Mark's friend/cousin/brother (something) but when that was pointed out my brain was only thinking, "wait, who is Mark?" There were some people whose purpose of having a name put to I just wasn't sure of. I'm not even sure if this makes sense outside of my mind haha.

Though at times I found her to be a bit on the dramatic side with her emotions, Honor was a lot of fun. I loved the close relationship she had with her brother and her relationship with him as well as the impact that her relationship with Payton still had on her, you could tell she has this huge heart and a strong sense of loyalty. She has this strong outward appearance but it only takes a second in her point of view to see just how insecure and full of self doubt she is. Then there's Bryce who is so incredibly sweet and sexy. He's that really good guy that you know has a naughty streak inside of him just waiting to pop out. He's the one thing that I really, really fell in love with in this book.

One thing this book was not lacking in the least was sparks or chemistry. The relationship between Honor and Bryce was the perfect mixture of sweetness and steamy. Plus you know how someone almost always makes a grand gesture in romance novels. The one big huge declaration to show their love and win back the person they love? Oh my gosh, Bryce's gesture at the end of this book alone is worth every minute you spend reading it. It's so simple and yet so freaking sweet and swoon worthy. Sigh. I want a Bryce of my own.

I believe the biggest problem I had with this book was that I really felt a detachment with the whole Honor-Payton-Bryce situation. (Payton being the ex-girlfriend/best friend who at the start of the book has been gone for like 6 months or so.) My brain understood the concept of their guilt or any other feelings they had towards Payton, but we don't get to know her ourselves except through stories from other characters so I couldn't stop feeling like 'she's gone get over it and kiss already' because I didn't feel any loyalty towards her myself. So it ended up making me feel frustrated from time to time because I wanted things to happen but guilt kept getting in the way.

For me personally, I feel like I probably would have benefited more from maybe an extra chapter squeezed into the beginning. Maybe getting to see Payton and Honor before she was gone first hand and feel a better attachment to their situation. Maybe even get that first almost encounter between Bryce and Honor, because as it was the opening of the book when the two of them are in a dark closet and verbally reliving the moment with "and you said", "then you said", "right and then you said" well it just didn't flow well or feel natural. To me.

Now I haven't read the first book in this series, Keeping Mr. Right Now, yet, but I have discovered that it's already been on my Kindle so I am looking forward to going back and reading Sophie and Zane's story. They seemed like a really fun couple and I want to see how they got to where they are in here. I did have fun reading Blame it on the Kiss. It was quick and sweet and I look forward to reading more of Robin Bielman's books in the future!

Thanks to Entangled Publishing for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Robin Bielman is one of those authors that I just love and know that I will enjoy whatever she writes. Blame it on the Kiss was just as fun and flirty and sweet as I have come to expect from Robin, and I really enjoyed this story. Though this is the second Kisses in the Sand book, it can be read as a standalone story with interconnected characters.

After losing her best friend, Honor Mitchell sets out to fulfill her best friend's last wishes. She made a list for Honor, and although Honor doesn't usually follow through with things she is determined to do this for her friend. Honor came close to fulfilling one of the items on her list with the sexy Bryce Bishop, but when she learned who he was she knew she had to leave. Now with her friends wedding, Honor knows that she must face Bryce since he is the best man and she is a bridesmaid. When Bryce finds out about the list, he is determined to help Honor complete it even though Honor doesn't want his help. But Bryce also knows that the last thing he needs it to be spending more time with Honor when it could affect his professional life as well as his heart.

I really liked Honor and Bryce. Bryce was sweet and sexy, and I loved that he never gave up on Honor. He had vowed to give up love after he was hurt, but he couldn't stop himself from letting Honor in. He was great with her and I liked how supportive and encouraging he was. He got under her skin and didn't let her get away with running from him. Honor was great also, and I really liked that she was so loyal. She would do anything for her friends and family, and she was so dedicated to doing Payton's list. She was a bit all over the place and had trouble following through with things, but I was glad that Bryce was there for her and helped her get over some of that. She had her reasons for her actions, and it wasn't until Bryce that anyone really seemed to understand that about her. These two were really sweet together, but they also had a ton of chemistry and really generated some steam.

Overall, this was another winner from Robin Bielman and I really think that you cannot go wrong with any of her books. I really enjoyed Honor and Bryce's story, and I thought that it was the perfect balance of sweet and sexy and emotional. If you are looking for a great contemporary story, Robin Bielman is the author for you. She never disappoints, and I find myself falling in love with her beautiful and unique characters every time. I can't wait to read more from Robin in the future, and I am really hoping that we get a story for Honor's brother Cooper!

4.5 stars!

Oh, my heart! For the most part this is a cute, enjoyable romance entangled with plenty of emotional angst thanks to Honor’s recently deceased best-friend being Bryce’s secret ex. It’s good and sweet and lovely enough, but then there are two scenes that just… I can’t. Too many feels!

Before I get to that, I’ll talk about the rest of the book. Honor is best known for never following through and finishing her projects. She’s a nice woman, loyal and selfless with her friends, but she doesn’t do relationships and she’s positive she can’t commit to anyone, let alone a life with someone else. However she’s determined to fulfill Payton’s last wishes, even if a few of them scare her rigid. Now all she has to do is find a man to have a one night stand with, and preferably not the man she’s super attracted to.

Bryce is tired of being a good guy, tired of being left, of never measuring up to something he can’t understand. His relationship with Payton has left more than a few scars, but he can’t deny that there’s something between Honor and himself – and not just Payton’s ghost. He wants to help her, he wants to be a bad boy for once, and he wants to be seen for himself. In fact Bryce is flat out adorable. He’s sweet and romantic and supportive and perfect in so many ways, it’s no wonder Honor can’t stop thinking about him.

If I’m honest, Honor’s guilt towards Payton does get a little tired and drawn out throughout this book. There are other things at work too, of course, since Honor has some pretty big relationship issues. Understandable, though in both cases I just wish she would learn to let things go a little more. It would also have been nice to know why Payton kept her relationship with Bryce so super secret – he’s a great guy, why didn’t she want to share him with the world? The issue with Honor’s brother, Cooper, felt a little contrived too.

However, those are little niggles that didn’t stop me from enjoying the whole book. And then there were those scenes: Jaws and obscure scrabble. Oh my word. It’s all so cute and romantic and just perfect, I think I felt my heart squeezing tight with happiness. I love Bryce. I can’t help it, he completely won me over in this book. Honor is nice and all, but it’s all about Bryce for me and the way he supports and encourages her. A true romantic hero. This was my first Robin Bielman book, but it definitely won’t be the last. I need more from this series!

4 Star Review

This book, though not part of a series, brings back prior characters Zane and Sophie from Keeping Mr. Right Now. It is there wedding and their friends Honor and Bryce are standing up together. The two met before in an almost one night stand but once Honor figures out that he is the same Bryce her best friend Payton had been in love with, they put a stop to everything. Honor knows it could be awkward being around Bryce for the weekend, but she doesn't want to let her other friend Sophie down.

Bryce can't believe he is around Honor again. His attraction to her hasn't died down one bit, but after being heartbroken by her best friend he's not willing to put his heart on the line. But maybe he can be a little bit of a bad boy and help Honor out with a bucket list of sorts left for her by Payton. After all they never did get to finish their one night stand.

This book was pretty good but not great. I didn't have much connection with either of the main characters and Honor's character flaw and hang up of not being responsible or following through on things just seemed a little silly. I know she feels really bad about what happened when she left her high school boyfriend but still, to think she can't ever have a lasting relationship.

Bryce wasn't too bad but he came off as overly possessive towards a girl he really is concerned about having anything other than a relationship with. He does do some really sweet things and I love what he puts together at the end, though it seemed more appropriate for a proposal rather than just asking her to be in a relationship.

Overall the book moves at a pretty fast pace and Bielman always does a good job with the steamy scenes being just right. They are enough to be spicy without having too many over the top details. Along with some other likable people in the story it makes for an enjoyable read.
