Ireland doesn't have many secrets apparently! lol

Did you know that Ireland has dramatic coasts, small islands, pubs, white-washed thatched roof cottages, castles, mansions, mountains, gardens, streams, and the odd ancient stone monument? You could? Well it does! And it is all beautifully photographed here, though a few times I wonder if the photographers are included in the photos. I really like the style of the photography and the nice descriptions included so I couldn't really be disappointed with this book. But I agree I would have liked a map included somewhere so it was easier to follow along. I did learn some things about Ireland and of course would love to go there. The cover has a different photo background now.

I really loved this book a lot. It had a lot about the history of Ireland and it also had some very nice pictures that the photographer had taken. I would definitely recommend this book to others as it could be helpful to other people. This is a must read for sure. It only took me three days to read this book.

I really enjoyed this book and it only makes me want to go even more! My only complaint is that I wish there was a map of Ireland at the front of the book. While I have a vague idea of the geography, it would have been nice to check on a map.
I definitely recommend this one! :)

Wonderfully insightful - far beyond the typical "coffee table books" of similar stature. We'll be visiting several of the lesser known places highlighted by Eyres in March & April!

This book contains a lot of historical information and gorgeous photos. I love that each chapter focuses on different counties. I owned several books on Ireland, but upon purchasing this book I found that I no longer needed the others. I am planning a trip to Ireland and this book has been the perfect companion in arranging my itinerary. I am going to bring the book along with me so that I have the information of each site available in case I miss anything the tour guide says. Thanks, Kevin Eyres!

So many great things to see and learn about this amazingly resilent people, their land, their history, music, literature, myths-legends-folklore, food, dance, politics, etc... I so want to go there and absorb it all... I always feel like this place calls to me... I know that sounds weird... But something about it enchants and draws me to it... I guess because it is so much like my beloved Oregon... Green, lush and gorgeous coastlines... I think it's my sister land... ;)
