“Your lips would look great wrapped around my…”

Who in the world tells a girl that on their first meeting? Tyler Locklin, that’s who. He’s filthy rich and arrogant with a set of abs that is the envy of all young men everywhere, and did I forget to mention devilishly handsome? He’s a bastard of the first order. I can’t stand to be in the same room with him.

But with one wink or a flash of his mischievous grin, I go weak in the knees. It pisses me off. I’m supposed to hate him. He’s an asshole. Yet, I can’t help but be drawn to him because I’m . . . ADDICTED.

I picked up Addicted because I love a Stepbrother romance. I didn’t realize it’s about two adults hooking up and later realizing they are stepbrother and stepsister, so the “taboo” aspect is kind of mild, but I carried on.

ALSO, I didn’t know the book ends at the 50% and there’s another bonus book. Which completely makes sense now because as I was reading, I was thinking to myself how the author was going to finish the book because the book is very quick pace.

Yes it’s a fast book, so fast, I think the author skipped out a few chapters. The two main characters meet and he tells her he wants her to suck his dick. No joke. I was okay with it because he’s suppose to be an ass right? So the Heroine is offended and walks out. He later tells her to meet him at a bar that night.

To your surprise she shows up! I kind of wished she wasn’t so putty into his hands. He takes her back to his apartment and they fuck like bunnies, which was awesome, but when she wakes up, his butler ships her away like a discarded piece of trash. Yeah, that wasn’t so cool or hot.

Then all of sudden, the next chapter the author tells me they are in a relationship. I’m like wait… did I miss pages? Why didn’t she make him grovel? Why didn’t she blow him off? Why didn’t she call him an asshole? I guess he did because it’s implied, but I would have liked to read that part.

So they are boyfriend and girlfriend. So what are the problems they face? His father and her insecurities because she doesn’t fully trust him, which were fine problems to read in the story, BUT when the Hero offers a job for her and she gladly accepts, he has reservations and wants to take it back?!

At that point I’m screaming at the book. He’s a rich millionaire and he doesn’t want to fund his girlfriend’s career which I don’t think would cost anything, but now he’s backing out? I kind of lost all hope for his character. He wasn’t redeemable and my heart wasn’t melting anymore.

I think his character was too wish-washy and she was too silly. The sex scenes were cool, but the before and afterwards was hard to get into.

I’m all for a “bad-boy” romance, but sometimes too much bad is a turn off.

Tyler is immediately attracted to Victoria but she is offended by his cocky and arrogant comments toward her. But Tyler is used to getting whatever he wants and he definitely wants Victoria. The two of them start a hot and steamy romance then discover that they are step-brother and step-sister. Neither are close to their parents, but when Tyler's dad gives him an ultimatum to choose between Victoria and the company he runs things become even more complicated.
This book wasn't as gripping as most of Lauren Landish books I've read but I didn't completely dislike it. I just didn't find that the hero and heroine were very likable characters.

This was the first step-brother/step-sister book that I've read. I had expectations that this would be a sleazy erotic tale, but it wasn't. It was actually quite good. There was a real story and several sub plots occurring simultaneously, which made for a more interesting and developed book. Tyler is a little over the top as far as aggressive sexual action and personality while Victoria starts out as a weak-willed girl desperate to please and make it in the fashion industry. It was most interesting to watch the inversion of their roles as they head towards love and their HEA. I am a fan of Lauren Landish's writing, and this one was a big departure from what I normally read. I think I'll try some more of these Step-brother/sister books. Thank you Lauren Landish.

DNF at 21%

This is my opinion. I was just bored and quickly became disconnected to the story.

I was in the mood for a stepbrother romance and picked this one up. At 20%, the heroine was still rambling. Too much detail about her job, her mother, and everything else in her life. At 21%, the MCs still have not met or anything. I need the author to introduce me to what is going to happen. The whole orgasm sex thing in the Prologue does not count. I hate when there is so much unnecessary detail about every aspect in the heroine's life. Yes she is in the fashion industry, but at 21%, nothing was happening except she was talking to her dad about her behavior.

This book was an OK read, I am finding that I like these 'step sibling' romance books even though I didn't like them before. With this book I didn't find myself that interested or invested in the characters, I'm not really sure why.

The main characters are Tyler and Vicky, and these characters differ from other main characters in 'step sibling' romances as they were two people who fell in love before they become step siblings. It makes the whole taboo thing in the romance not as taboo, kind of taking the fun out of it. These characters didn't have any discernible characteristics for me, I just didn't connect with them.

I'm sure there were some secondary characters just none I found noteworthy.

The storyline was OK, not hugely unlike other books in this sub genre I've read, but I feel like a little of the fun was taken out of it. The pacing was OK but since I didn't really connect with the characters I wasn't really invested in the outcome.

2 stars not the best but not the worst.

the main characters.

Victoria had dreams she longed to be in the fashion industry. She had a pretty tuff boss who's name was Christine Finnerman. I did not like Christine’s at the beginning of the book but warmed up to her a little more as the story went on.

Victoria had no one really. She did not speak to her mom or her dad. She knew her mom had gotten married but did not even show up to the wedding and had to even seen her since.

Tyler Locklin was know as a playboy. He went through women like crazy. His father hated seeing his son going down the road of women and booze. Tyler was in danger of losing his company if he did not change his ways. His father had threaten to give his spot to his rival if he did not straighten up.

Things get hot and heavy with Victoria and Tyler. Tyler had swore off women after an old girlfriend had betrayed him. Now here he is becoming very addictive to Vicky. How quickly things can change when something is taken wrongly. Sorry have to read the book to find out.

This was a great book. Tyler and Vicky are step siblings but they were not raised together. They did not even know each other. Myself I enjoy the taboo, but if it is not for you well I still think you will like the story.

I received this for an honest review. This is the first book I have read of Lauren Landish. This book had some really interesting characters in it. I just loved the main characters.

The stepbrother romance is a popular theme lately. In this story, Vicky and Tyler have an interesting first meeting. Tyler is a rich guy and used to getting whatever and whoever he wants. When he meets Vicky, he makes it clear he is interested. Vicky is young and struggling and really sick of being ordered around at work by her boss so she thinks a night of fun might be a good release. She knows what he is about and it isn't a long term romance. In fact, Tyler is in a lot of trouble at the family business for his exploits with women. His dad and the Board are encouraging him to find a real girlfriend but they didn't think it would be his new stepsister. Tyler is determined to have it all and Vicky makes him work for it. I think that was my favorite part. She did not just accept his word for things and really made him prove he cared.

There is a lot of chemistry between the two and they keep it fun too. Vicky may not be his match in the boardroom but she is in the bedroom.

In this edition, you get a second stepbrother romance included featuring a man who has little respect for anything. He gets in fights, has sex with anyone he wants and gets arrested frequently. Julian blames his dad for many things and when his dad invites him to his wedding, he thinks it is an opportunity for revenge. He plans to mess with his new step-sister to embarrass the family. Krystal is not what he expected and makes him realize that he needs to make some changes so he sets out to spend some time with her after the wedding. The author takes time to develop a relationship between the two rather than rushing to explore the sexual chemistry and I think that made the story stand out to me from many other similar stepbrother romances. You see Julian really begin to mature and make serious changes.

I received a copy in return for a honest review.

This the first book that I've read by Lauren Landish, and it definitely won't be my last. Tyler Locklin battling past demons that has made him a bad boy. It's starting to affect his job at the company that he helped co-found with his father. The board wants to vote him fired, unless he cleans up his act. Victoria has a dream to work in fashion. She works for a fashion powerhouse that treats her like crap, and her mother is always harping on her to get out of it. When she's stuck measuring Tyler, she feels a connection to him until he opens his mouth. But she can't seem to stay away from him. Tyler feels the same strong connection, and it makes him want to be a better man, so imaging their shock when they find out they're step siblings. Will Tyler and Victoria be able to make it work?

LOVED LOVED LOVED this story. The character development is great, with any changes taking realistic time to evolve. A fast paced, sexy, and well written story line flows smoothly. Lauren Landish does an amazing job at hooking me from cover to cover, and I devoured this story. The chemistry is SIZZLIN', leading to SCORCHIN' HOT sexy scene goodness that I couldn't get enough of. I'm so glad that I got the opportunity to discover another talented author, and I happily HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Loved this book... lauren has done it again... Amazing!!! I couldn't put it down once i started. Loved how the characters found each other and had that instant energy buzz between them, to discover a few weeks later that Tyler is Victoria's step brother!
Victoria has disowned her parents and is newly qualified in the fashion business and is working for Christine who is extremely well know in fashion. During a wedding fitting, she meets Tyler...
Tyler is a very rich, man whore who chooses whoever he wishes, with his gorgeous looks and fantastic body and he basically lives his life as he pleases. He co owns and runs a business with his father, who is not happy with how he is behaving as it is having a negative impact on the company. He swears he will NEVER settle down, until he meets Victoria!
The journey they take together is wonderful and light with a bit of a twist that may or may not make the decision for them to be together!
Will they work it out and share their HEA? Or is there too many negatives in the relationship that can pull them apart forever?

Love Victoria and Tyler!! Lauen did a great job with writing their story put all the angst, steamy sex scenes, backstabbing, heartbreak, love, happiness, its all there. You should really check this book out I think that you will enjoy it as well.

Victoria is working for a nasty designer who is mean as hell to her. She's miserable and has been tasked with getting measurements for a huge wedding party. At the party she meets Tyler and he says the nastiest, sexy as hell comment to her. She does not take it well and when he asks her out she questions whether to go or not. Tyler is a bad boy who's one night stands are in the tabloids for all to see. His father and the board of the company they created have had enough. Tyler needs to clean up his behavior or face losing his job in the company. He is dead set against changing his ways but once he meets Victoria things change.

What happens when they find out that they are step-siblings? What happens when Tyler's past comes back to bite him in the a$$? Will Victoria and Tyler get their happy ever after?

Lauren Landish does it again with Addicted! Vicky is a designer's assistant who hasn't talked to her mom or dad since after their divorce and they started seeing different people. Tyler is a CFO playboy who does want he wants without any thought what others think. When his buddy is getting married Tyler decides to foot the bill to help out his friend and meets Vicky at a fitting for the wedding. There is a spark between the two, but is dampened when Tyler opens his mouth and his cocky attitude comes out. Even though Vicky should stay away from they playboy she can't, even when they find out they are stepsiblings. There are misunderstandings between the two, a jerk of a boss and a board that thinks that Tyler is bad for the company interest. I love that the happy ending for these two takes some work. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Very enjoyable read. It was sweet to see the play between Tyler and Vicky. She certainly gave him a fight and is was great to read.
Victoria works for a difficult woman named Christine, but she is the best in the fashion world and that's just the experience Victoria needs. During a job, Victoria meets Tyler an attractive, rich playboy and is instantly drawn to him. He is a charmer, but his mouth caused her to be put off. But when he invites her out for a drink and she accepts, the Sparks between the two fly. They start to see each other but quickly see that there are many obstacles. Tyler's playboy ways have his job on the line, Charles is willing to fill that position and Tyler's father is married to Victoria's mother. Can the two work through all the struggles and come out of this together? Or will Tyler's past come back and ruin what they have started?

I received this for my honest review. Tyler is a typical CFO... arrogant, sexy, cocky and major playboy who is now on the line of losing his place with the company he helped founder with his father all because he likes to go wild with women, constantly with a different one every week and partying which is giving the company a bad image. Victoria is a young woman trying to make it in the real world on her own, all she wants to do is be a fashion designer and want to get her name out there and be able to work at building her own name. The only way to do that is to work with one of the most ruthless designers there is, she puts her through constant hoops with no praise but she also is able to get her to learn what she needs to get on. I don't want to give anymore away but this story definitely has lots of surprises for you, ones that i'm sure you will love.

Bad boy, big companies, and a girl who set his world on fire.
Tyler is use to getting his way anytime, anywhere. Whether it's a good time out on the town, in his company or with the ladies. Until she came along and literally smacked some sense into him. At a fitting for a friends wedding.
Victoria has written off her parents as a loss cause due to what they did each other. So as a women in a big city alone, she gets down to business with what she wants to do as a assistant to the best of the best fashion designer. What she didn't account for was him walking in and practically ruining her life from the get go.
Will they fight for what is between them when all else seems to be failing? Or will the forces that want them apart get their way?

Two for the price of one. Addicted is very similar to the Devil Wears Prada when it comes to the heroine and her boss. Added is the hero, his jealous coworker, possible gold digging mother (heroine's mom) and everyone else that was in Tyler's pockets. The romance was there but luke warm.

The next book 'Stepbrother Bad Boy's Baby', (a mouthful right) was so disparaging of the hero that I don't believe liked him. Due to this, the very judgemental heroine and her mom are on my list of least likable characters. Hero and secondary characters are very likable and help to propel the story forward.

Oh Tyler...you are such a bad boy. Victoria...sorry you have got no chance of surviving Tyler. He is such a cocky, arrogant, smart and handsome devil. So when they meet, sparks fly. Especially when she slaps him. They are so suited to each other but they don't know that yet. What with horrible bosses, scheming exes, blackmail and a crazy wedding to organise, oh and not forgetting the hot hot volcanic sex scenes, this was a fast paced, must definitely read story. Absolutely brilliant. Loved it.

This short story was written reasonably well, but I would have love to see the character developed a bit more. The storyline is great and the characters likeable, however it felt a little bit rush.
Very hard to get a strong story going over a short book, which in a way is not bad, since I was left wanting more.

I wont't go into details since the synopsis summarize what you can expect ahead.

I received an ARC for an honest review. I must say after reading Mr Dark and loving it I was really disappointed in this book. Lots of typos. It felt rather rushed and Victoria was all over the place she was supposed to be strong and feisty yet she completely mooned over Tyler and was forever crying over him. If I hadn't read any of Lauren's books before I would've assumed this was a first novel.

This book was simply BAD. It has not only horrible writing but also a supposed heroine that is plain stupid and naive. If you are into books where the girl lets herself be dominated by a jackass then by all means this is a book for you. However, I on the other hand enjoy books that are a little bit more reslistic. I was unable to finish the book due to the fact that I found him sexist and arrogant and her gullible. I happen to enjoy books with girls I can relate to or understand their point of view. It just makes no sense to me how can you slap somebody because they are telling you: “your lips would look good around my...” and then end up going on a date with them and screwing them the following night.
I don’t know about you but if someone, especially if I don’t know them, tells me that sort of sentence I for sure don’t meet up with them, and neither do I follow them to their appartment and let them do to me whatever they please.
With that being said, the book didn’t do it for me. I don’t enjoy stories where I find myself skipping parts or telling myself that the story is sexist and unlikely to happen, and believe me when I say that I want to strongly believe that if a girl finds herself in a position of the sort they will not only slap the guy but tell them to go fuck themselves, I don’t want to believe that there are girls this stupid in real life.

Generally, I don't review my one-star books, you know, "Stop it! He's already dead!"

But yesterday, I made a tweet about this book, and this morning, I woke to learn I'd been put on 24-hour suspension for hate speech.

This was not MY hate speech, okay. I listed some--only SOME--of the misogynistic terms used repeatedly in the book, and that was enough to get me thrown in Twitter Jail. Twitter was like "Do you agree that this is hate speech?" and I was like "I sure do, Pa!"

Lookit.

It is absolutely not fair to single this book out for criticism on this. For some reason it's a suregod TROPE in the kind of books my moms favoured for the heroine and her lady friends to be venerated, and EVERY OTHER WOMAN to be a whore, slut, tramp, trollop, bitch/witch, skank, et fucking cetera. (Or frigid, if the woman is older.)

But this is the one that got me internet incarcerated for mentioning it BRIEFLY, and so here we are.

It's pretty raunchy, though. If you're against misogyny yet into raunch, this book is here for you. Or maybe you like both, like my moms did, apparently! That's none of my beeswax.

Stopped reading at 30%

65 pages in I have up. The heroine is the absolute WORST. I felt NO connection between the couple. Usually I can push through and hope the story gets better, but I stopped reading when a chapter ended with the heroine being thrown out of his penthouse by his butler, only to TWO PAGES LATER weeks had gone by, and they were suddenly in some whirlwind romance. I have up at that point. Part of a good romance, especially"bad boy stories, " is reading about the Hero redeeming himself, and the angst and push and pull between the two. There was NONE of that, even when going in to their first "date," before they slept together. I get heroines are often meant to be meek vs the alpha male, but this woman was just a whiney, spineless little girl. The smut I read in here wasn't even that great. I like Lauren Landish, but this book was lazily written and a huge bust. Didn't read like her others

It was weird. I just don't know how to explain it. Well let me start by telling you what I expected after reading the synopsis was way off. The step sibling taboo part was almost nil. As well as just remove it, wouldn't make any difference. There were few more tropes which seems forced, the connection , emotion everything seems forced. The events were skipped. I read novel to read moments between MCs, which were skipped. I was like WTF?! Also in between I few times thought if paragraphs were missing or something. No it was not. As I said it was just weird. I have so many issues with it but don't really want to spent more time on this book anymore. I just wouldn't recommend it.

For what it's worth it's not bad. I just thought it was so cheesy. Tyler thinks he is all that and Victoria is one of those heroins who throws a stupid fit and then in the next second is all over him. I was disgusted when Tyler gave into his ex, who supposedly destroyed him, but to get rid of her he pays her off instead of just kicking her to the curb. He had the money that he could have destroyed her but he was a sucker who gave her just what she wanted.
I also thought the ending was just out of sync. Victoria's boss was a hateful hag and then all of a sudden out of the blue she gives her everything she wanted....WHY? What did she get out of it?
