Kate Mason was ripped from her life on Earth and when she’s rescued from a life as a sex slave, she’ll have to decide if she can set aside her longing for home and embrace life with Paoli in this stellar sci-fi romance.

When Paoli sees Kate in the brothel, he knows she’s the one female for him and the reader can’t help but get caught up in the emotionally turbulent tale as Paoli sacrifices everything to set her free. These strong captivating characters grab the reader’s attention right from the start as their emotional turmoil flows from pages and grips readers by the heart and their smoldering chemistry stirs up the heat, but with the laws of the Norlanian world, their relationship is on quite a precipice which has spine tingling suspense building throughout the well written, fast paced and smooth flowing plot that brings a fascinating new world to life.

Once again, R.E. Butler has created an intriguing world with an interesting culture that invites readers to visit again and again and I have to say that my first trip to Norlan had me captivated from beginning to end and I can’t wait for my next visit.

I liked it

I could use more background on this world. It's different. It's not bad. I like Paoli. I like Kate. The kid's were tragic but everyone helped out and turned out great. I thought Dex was a jerk. He would have let her for in that horrible place.

this book is about women being treated like cargo. I love reading it because it makes you see how it is by all parties about discrimination just because you can't get pregnant.

Paoli's Bride
Norlanian Brides Book 1
by R. E. Butler
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

received this book to read and to give my honest opinion in a review.

I am always excited to read any book written by R. E. Butler and they always put a smile on my face and exceeded everything I thought it would be and more. It's a fantastic Romantic Read!! I really hated for this story to end. But if you enjoy reading romance than this will be one of your favorite as it is mine. This is so Romantic I couldn’t putting it down. I am in love with all of the characters in this book. I love how the characters are developed and well written. The dialogue is creative, you will like the interaction between the main characters, they leap off the page with life. The scenes are picturesque, vivid, beautiful and dynamic. I have been a fan of R.E Butler for a long years, she was the first author that got me into reading and loving paranormal romance. The storylines are spectacular, engaging and incredible. Her characters are lovable, realistic and fantastic. This storyline is different we are taken on a space travel, into the to the lives of some awesome, sensual Aliens!

Kate Mason is a human that was taken from earth. They abduct women to become Alien's brides. But Kate refuse the Alien who wanted to mate her so she is put into a brothel to pay for her abduction. At first Kate is depressed but her fighting spirit comes out when she meets with injustice, but she realize that her attitude will determine her future, she opens her eyes and soon falls in love with Paoli.

Paoli who I loved in The Gigolo's Bride, sold himself as a sex slave to help his family. He saved enough money to buy his freedom and a house, but when he see Kate he fell in love with her and so he brought Kate from the brothel also. Because Paoli wants Kate to be happy he tries to not rush her. But Paoli has some obstacles of his own to overcome because he finds out his mother had wasted the money he sent her and now his siblings are in dire need of his help!. Paoli is every bit the hero I expected him to be and I loved his commitment to his family.

Its awesome to visit with Ashleigh and Eden again. I was so excited because I have been waiting for this book forever. This book is so fantastic you will love following the romance, drama, challenges and the HEA. Its a must read book! I'm so looking forward to the next book in the series.

This is a Magnificent book where two people find the love of their life. The story will leave you feeling happy. If you love romance this is definitely a fabulous choice for your TBR list.

If you believe in the world of love and romance then the possibilities are endless and fascinating.

Paoli sold himself into slavery to help provide for his family, and to protect them from the same fate. He managed to both save up and send money to his mother and four siblings. He was able to save enough for a new home for his family. By the time, Paoli was able to buy his freedom, he encountered Kate, and felt compelled to also buy her freedom. Kate, is human and was abducted from Earth after another Norlanian male, Dex went on the soul-walk and Kate was named his mate. Kate was furious about being taken from her life and planet and refused to mate with Dex. Kate was then sold into slavery, but when Paoli saw her her knew he couldn't leave her there to suffer. It took some time for Kate to come out of her misery about being taken, she accepted her new life, developed feelings for Paoli. The couple faced a few issues, the main one being Paoli's blue hair that marked him among the lowest class and prevented him from employment. The next came from being harassed by his status, and fear of Kate being taken from him. Then, there were the expenses behind acquiring a serum that would change his hair color. And the last, came from upheaval among his family. This was a great book, I only wish it were longer.

I usually love R.E. Butler's books, but this book was a let down. Paoli is just not my type of hero. He has a pure heart but not someone I find myself attracted, too meek and a bit of a push over. Not to mention, I went to school for fashion design and the way Paoli makes and alters clothes without any sort of measuring and pattern drafting (ei, he just put a panel in and laced it up) just makes me cringe.

Lastly, Paoli doesn't seem alien to me. The way he thinks, speaks and act, seem like just another human living in a slightly different society, albeit with blue hair. And even the society doesn't seem very alien. People being forced to work the sex trade to keep their families fed and alive is a very common thing on Earth. Many societies on Earth also have no safety net for people less fortunate. Homeless people get arrested for no reason all the time. It felt like a normal romance masquerading as science fiction. The world building is lacking compared to other books this author has written. Sure, the book keeps reminding us that we are on another world with made up words and weird food. But I don't buy it. It might be her first foray into the whole "mars needs women" trope though, so maybe it will get better as she writes more in this genre.

I was lucky enough to read and review this..
First let me say R.E. Butler is one of my favorite authors she has a way with words. Second to be said Alien romance is not really my type of reads so i had already had it in my head i was not going to like this and boy was i wrong i love it..ok so Kate was taken from Earth to become an alien’s bride. she refused, she was put into a government-owned brothel on the alien planet of Norlan and told that she had to work off the debt of her abduction by becoming a sex slave. (Yup lol she had to pay for her being kidnapped that was a good one and not expected)When Paoli, a newly freed slave, sees Kate in the brothel, its love at first sight lol he just has to get her to see that. He sacrifices everything to pay off her debt and set her free. Paoli is the sweetest man Kate has ever known, but she misses home. Can she put off her wanting to go home for a shot at love

I have been waiting for this book forever. I loved Paoli in The Gigolo's Bride. He is every bit the hero I expected him to be. He loves Kate with everything he has and is willing to give her anything to make her happy. He has some obstacles to overcome but he'll be or do what she needs. I loved his commitment to his family. Kate is a fighter but when faced with the reality of her new life she sinks into a depression. In realizing that her attitude will determine her future, she opens her eyes. Her fighting spirit comes out when she meets with injustice. I loved watching her blossom into a caring, loving woman. It was great to see Ashleigh and Eden again. To see them happy and together made me smile. I'm so looking forward to the next book in the series.

I LOVE THIS AUTHOR!!
Paoli's Bride offers a gripping alien romance where Kate Mason is forced into a brothel on a foreign planet, only to be rescued by Paoli, a compassionate and determined former slave. The tension between Kate’s desire to return to Earth and her growing affection for Paoli is the heart of the story. Paoli's character is especially endearing as he sacrifices everything to free Kate, creating a deep emotional bond that elevates the romance. While the pacing of the plot might feel a little rushed at times, the emotional connection between Kate and Paoli is heartwarming. The story tackles heavy themes like captivity and freedom but balances them with a sweet, tender romance. Fans of alien romance and stories of overcoming hardship will likely enjoy this read.

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author R.E. Butler. This is book 1 of
Norlanian Brides by the author.

Kate Mason was kidnapped and taken to another planet to be a bride but ends up in a government owned brothel. Paoli has spent many years as a sex slave to keep a roof over his family's head. When he comes to the aid of Kate he pays for her freedom with money his mother counted on. Things get complicated for Kate and Paoli as his mother and soldiers try to get in their way.

She Didn't Ask Or Want To Come Here

She's been sold to a brothel on another planet to pay off a debt she didn't make. He's finally bought his freedom when he sees her brought into the brothel. This is a story about a kind hearted man who fell in love at first sight and spent his last to make sure she didn't have to suffer in that place. This world is a cruel place to be if you are poor.

And on this world, there are females who should never be mothers. This is an quick, hot, interesting and entertaining read. Enjoy I did.

I am so happy that R.E Butler decided to come back to this world and give us a whole new collection of stories. This is the first instalment in the series, and based in the alien world we were introduced to in The Gigolo's Bride (a book I highly recommend reading first so you understand the back story to this one) many moons ago. An alien male with a heart of gold, and a young female with a broken heart in need of repairing. I loved Kate and Paoli's story and cannot wait for the next one.

Worth the wait

It been a while waiting for Paoli's story, and that's it's here I would have loved for it to be longer! I love the way Paoli and Eden interact, but what makes this the Norlanian bride book 1? Wouldn't Eden and Ashleigh's story be book 1? If I hadn't read The Gigalo's Bride, I would have wondered about the secondary characters storyline.

Good Read

I really like Paoli and Kate story. It just shows how far patients and a little bit of compassion can go along way. I was a little bit confused why this story was Norlanian bride book 1 wouldn't Ashleigh and Eden story be book 1 because the other book was based on tribe bride strange. Look forward to reading about Eden sister next.
