Eleanor Farjeon was an English author of children's stories and plays, poetry, biography, history and satire. Many of her works had charming illustrations by Edward Ardizzone. Some of her correspondence has also been published. She won many literary awards and the prestigious Eleanor Farjeon Award for children's literature is presented annually in her memory by the Children's Book Circle, a society of publishers.

A collection of twenty sweet poems that will take you through the seasons!
I liked their unique perspectives, as they didn’t fully follow the typical themes but still maintained relatability.
Ages: 4+
Cleanliness: mentions fairies, sprites, trolls, nymphs, fauns etc. in a couple of poems. One poem is dedicated to Halloween and is about ghosts/dead people haunting loved ones.

Beautiful poetry, understandable by younger readers as well. Lovely illustrations by Jane Paton in my edition. A perfect book to have on every shelf!
