I am not usually a fan of short stories. but these garden-themed tales by Hawthorne, Steinbeck, Welty and Mansfield were wonderful! I especially liked Hawthorne's darker garden story! Overall, a delicious little book!

A delightful mix of stories that illustrate the feelings that a garden can produce: whimsy, longing, fear, envy and joy. Excellent photos to accompany.
