Rather than return to the circus, an elephant attempts to hide himself using a variety of disguises, such as butterfly and dinosaur costumes, with hilarious results for him and the boy he has found, until they decide the best place for him is Africa.

This book is about an elephant running away from the circus. He enlists the help of a little boy who tries to create wild disguises for him till he can return to Africa.
I used this book a couple time while supplying and it seemed to work really well for a variety of elementary ages. The repetition of the mother fainting was easy for the young ones to catch onto and the humour hooked in the older grades. Overall a fun little book to keep in the classroom.
This story is about an elephant who the boy has to hide. He hides the elephant in his room in the closet, under the bed and in the cupboard. His mother freaks out. She faints. He tries to his his elephant friend in disguises. Make sure you look at the picture on the back cover!
My favourite part was when the elephant was in the sandbox.
