I have never loved the multiverse thing and this is an issue that is more about the next issues coming than the story in front of me. And I get leaving the uniforms on, but Reed doesn’t even lose the gloves for stories and bedtime with the kids. Seems unlikely. Not a bad issue, but not enough here to make me care about the rest to come.

...as reprinted in that grocery store Fantastic Four magazine that Marvel released earlier this Summer...

Pretty awesome, actually. At least partially because of how drop-dead sexy Dale Eaglesham draws his male protagonists.

Engaging stuff focusing on Reed’s desires to fix everything…even at the risk of losing the most important people in his life

Richards, ignoring the wise counsel of his wife, continues his reckless experiments and meets alternate versions of himself. Nothing times noting is still nothing.

I've heard a lot about Hickman's run. I was nervous to get into it because it had been so hyped to me. Safe to say this arc (Solve Everything) was better than I expected. I hope the MCU would incorporate this in some way - I'd love to see the Council of Reeds full of Pedro Pascals. In First Steps, he played "carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders", "selfish genius", and "inattentive but loving husband" version of Reed similar to how Hickman wrote his, so there's already that.

Fantastic Four are fighting off some of Bentley Wittman, the “Wizard”’s clone goons. Reed and Wittman have a convo about how they’ve been judged and this world will tear itself apart.

Johnny and Thing are going on a vacation, Sue is dealing with how smart her 3 year old Valeria is becoming. Reed goes to his lab where he’s hiding his Bridge. First appearance of the Council of Reeds.

2018: Dr Reed opens a portal into a pocket dimension and discovers a society comprising of Reeds from every alternate Earth working together to keep all the universes safe.

2024: Totally forgot I had read this back in 2018! What the hell.
