Super short read. Powerful buisness man known to be a bad boy in bed. His old friend's sister wants him to teach her how to suduce.

He likes her more than he's saying out loud. She has always liked him AND
Cute, but predictable with an added side story that seems a bit out of place. However not a bad way to spend an hour :)

This book had me from page one to the end and left me wanting more. Amazing Debut Sophie I'm ready for more with Eva and Jack.

This book was short and quick but it sets you up for oh so much more. Eva is 26 and still a virgin. Jack is her brother's best friend. Eva's Father and Brother who have both passed were always very overprotective of Eva never letting her explore. She has had a crush on jack since she was a litle girl. When Eva asks Jack to teach her the ways of getting a man Jack is a little taken back. Hes a self proclaimed man whore but he knows that Eva is unlike any woman he beds. Hes always cared for her and wants to keep her safe but there is also a part of him that wants more from her so who is he to deny her this request? The ending of this book gah I don't event know what to say without giving it away all I know is that I need more!!

“She’d lusted for him for so long, and now he was here, doing things to her, wanting her to do things to him , wanting her in the way she’d only imagined for countless sleepless nights.”

Where do you go when you want to learn how to make a man happy? To Manhattan’s most eligible bachelor, your brother’s best friend, and your crush for as long as you can remember. Eva doesn’t know the first thing about how to catch and please a man how could she when she is a virgin. Her big brother and father sheltered her, and kept the men away. But now that they are both gone, she can finally see what all the talk is about.

Jack is wealthy, gorgeous, and has no interest in settling down. So when Eva approaches him to show her everything he knows about seduction and sex, he is caught off guard. Any other woman he would understand, but this was his best friends little sister.

I strongly recommend when reading this story, you forget the panties. This book is HOT! It is hard to believe this is Sophie Holloway’s debut book. I can’t wait for the next one to come out in March!

This has quite a few of the elements I look for in a good book, but I expected a little bit more from it. There was mystery, danger and intrigue but I was left a little bit disappointed by the sexy parts of the book. Eva, the naughty little virgin, has some rather interesting ideas on how she could explore her sexuality with Jack, but they don't quite get around to playing many of those out. Also, I was a little unsure how or why Eva came up with the idea to ask Jack to teach her about sex. We know she has had a crush on him and her overprotective father and brother kept her sheltered from men, but I just wanted some details on how and why she decided to proposition Jack. I sort of expected her to use it as an excuse to get close to him or reveal some deeper feelings, but her reasoning seemed very basic to me and I was looking for more. All that being said, I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of tricks Eva and Jack have lined up in the rest of the series. It seems promising!

Jack isn't bashful about his image and skills no not him, "he nodded. “She wants me to teach her how to eff.” Stella’s mouth dropped open. He waved an arm, gesturing down at himself. “I mean, it’s not that hard to believe she wants all this. She’s a Fiorini, after all, and they know quality when they see it.” I liked Eva to me she was adorable, "she reached up flirtatiously and touched the skin between his open collar. “With no tie? I haven’t seen you without a tie since…” Her fingers trailed up his neck. “Well, never.” There was a cliffhanger but I wasn't upset like I normally would be.

Nice and slow

Eva is tired of taking things nice and slow. She wants Jack and figures a way to have him and also get some lessons in driving a man crazy.

She felt like someone is Watching her but it could be just her imagination until someone broke into her home.

Jack promised his best friend that he would watch over Eva but never did he think a proposal of this level would be from sweet innocent Eva.

Be warned thus does end in a cliffhanger.

For this being Sophie Holloway’s debut novel, I was BLOWN away! I literally could NOT put this book down…finished it in one day! The hunger and desire between these two characters leapt off the page and the storyline made it impossible to not get wrapped up in. It is exactly as the title suggests…TEACH ME (Lessons in Seduction). Eva Fiorini seeks out guidance in certain *ahem* aspects of her life from her lifetime crush Jack Bennett, whom also happens to be her brother’s best friend and co-owner of The Fiorini Group (real estate investing). “I need you to teach me some things. Personal things.” –Eva. Since the recent unexpected passing of her brother, Eva is left adrift, completely on her own. Her brother had always been this overprotective figure in her life, not allowing her to do anything on her own and now without his constant watchful eye, she is left to explore. “Eva was a good girl –always had been…” –Jack. This is exactly why at 26, she finds herself still a virgin with basically NO experience on how to “drive a man crazy”. Now she’s ready to shed her innocence and explore that part of herself and who better to show her the way than Manhattan’s notorious player and bachelor, Jack Bennett? Eva decides to proposition him and in doing so, she awakens a need in him that he didn’t know he had. He finds himself unable to resist her and takes on the task as “teacher”. “She’d always been a mirage—beautiful, but completely, impossibly out of reach.”–Jack. Right as things start to get steamy between them, there is this threat that could potentially mess up their growing relationship.

This was the “foundation” book…it gave the reader just enough storyline and plot to keep you glued to the pages and intrigued about the mystery in the background. I, for one, am excited to see where this story goes! Bring on book 2, TAKE ME!!! (Anticipated release date March 7, 2016). If you’re looking for a quick, hot read that has a splash of mystery, then this is the series for you.

***WARNING: ends in a cliffy! You have been warned *wink*

Teach Me is the first installment in Sophie Holloway's Lessons in Seduction serial. Since it is the first part of three, it does end with a cliffhanger.

Eva Fiorini has wanted Jack Bennett for years. As her older brother's best friends, they have always been strictly off-limits to each other. He is Manhattan's biggest player, and exactly the man she knows can help teach her about sex. Jack at first tries to fight his attraction to Eva, knowing that he promised her brother he would protect her. When it becomes more than he can resist, Jack gives in to feelings he hasn't allowed himself to feel. But when Eva starts to feel as though someone is watching her, it appears as though Jack will have to protect her from more than just himself.

Though I did feel the attraction and chemistry between these two, I found myself wanting more. It was clear that they had known each other for years and had an easy relationship. They liked one another and had things in common. Yet, their entire relationship felt surface deep to me. I just wasn't really feeling any kind of depth here. They had some steamy moments together, but even with those I was left wanting. I am hoping that as this serial continues we get more, because I really do think that there is promise here.

I also felt the same way when it came to the mystery/suspense portion of this story. It seemed that Eva brushed everything under the rug and not much was really explored here. My interest started to wane as this book continued because I just wasn't feeling like anything was happening. I kept waiting for something big to grab my attention and to really draw me in, but it just didn't happen. I am mildly curious as to where the story will go from here, but overall I just felt like this installment could have delivered so much more than it actually did. With a serial, the first installment has to really draw the reader in if you are expecting them to come back for the rest of the story with future installments, especially if you end each with a cliffhanger. But I had a tough time really caring much about what would happen after this installment since I really didn't feel invested in the characters or the story at the end of this one.

Brothers Best Friend, The Virgin & The Manwhore
3.5 stars

When a book crosses my path that promises a tantalizing story of brother's best friend, learning the art of seduction, lusting from a far, and a dash of suspense, I am drawn like a moth to a flame. And this is exactly what Sophie Holloway's first book in her debut Lessons in Seduction serial, Teach Me, promises readers. It is a quick and easy read that draws readers into the storyline effortlessly.

There is something about the blend of innocence and manwhore that gets me everytime. Sophie hit the nail on the head with Eva and Jack in this story.

I really wanted to love this story as it has so many elements that suck me into a book and get me excited to find out what happens next. To be honest, from the blurb I really was expecting a book that was much more focused on the sexual relationship between Eva & Jack. While there are some HOT scenes in this book, I was left wanting a bit more than what happened between this pair. That being said, this is book 1 of a serial series, so I am sure that there is much more sexy times to come. The chemistry between the pair was sizzling and Sophie did an awesome job in showcasing this dynamic for readers.

While some readers may be a bit dubious about the hit and miss nature with debut authors, Sophie Holloway gives readers an engaging storyline with characters you want to know about and intrigue that keeps you turning the pages.

This book is a solid start for this serial and I am excited to find out what happens next. And I will admit that much of my expectations for this book was based on what I wanted to happen and wanting to know a bit more background and why yhd characters acted the way that they did - nothing to do with the quality of story. This book was engaging and an quick easy read. Fans of steamy, brothers best friend romances who like a touch of intrigue will enjoy this book. Can't wait to see where Eva and Jack end up.

This is Sophie Holloway's debut?! No way! Since it is, I have to applause her on Teach Me. It was engaging & enjoyable all the way through. I would never have guessed this was her first story written.

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of serials with cliffhangers and this is looking like one to me and from my research...it is. Yet, I caved and bought this first installment after seeing it mentioned on Twitter and after reading the sample on Amazon, I one clicked (and it was only 99 cents!) Plus, I saw that the second installment isn't too far behind in its release so that appeased me a bit on the whole cliffhanger part.

I am a huge sucker for best friend little sister tropes and that was one of the main reasons why I picked this up. The second reason being the synopsis. I think it's safe to say that no plot is really original anymore in romantic fiction (and that's ok). What it really comes down to is how the author is able to execute and deliver the story and make it his or her own. In terms of Teach Me, I think it was well delivered and executed (for this first installment).

This first part, although short, was well written in my opinion. The words flowed effortlessly along with a steady pace. I really enjoyed the author's writing style and connected well with it. Furthermore, the characters, Eva and Jack, were likable and fitting for one another. I would like to know more about them, but being the first part of the serial I'm sure readers will get more in depth with their characters as their story continues.

I also liked the air of sensuality that surrounded this story. Not only that, but the sexiness and tastefully written intimate scenes between Eva and Jack. They were quite steamy too. The sprinkles of intrigue and suspense thrown in was a nice addition and surprise as well. With that said, I'm looking forward to seeing how things will play out. As for the cliffhanger, it wasn't bad at all. I've read worst. This one ended at a point in the story where you're still able to carry on until the next installment releases.

Overall, a good debut from Ms. Holloway! I enjoyed this little piece of work and look forward to reading the continuation of Eva and Jack's story.

Teach Me Lessons in Seduction by Sophie Holloway is the first book in a trilogy centered on Jack Bennett and Eva Fiorini.

Jack is the best friend of Eva’s deceased bother Antonio and a man she has desired for as long as she can remember. Jack has a reputation of being a womanizer who just happens to be sinfully gorgeous, overly charming and rumored to be a very thorough lover in bed to the level of being a GOD.

After the death of her brother Eva longs to live a little and learn how to seduce men so she can feel like she belongs. She has lived a very sheltered life that has left her a virgin in New York to fend for herself. Thinking through her next move Eva decides to proposition Jack to help her learn all the ways to seduce a man by teaching her everything she will need to know. She is looking for a 30 days of his teachings in exchange for her helping Jack secure his rightful place as CEO of The Fiorini Group that he helped build with her father and brother.

Jack Bennett has known Eve since she was a little girl. To him she is off limits, her brother Antonio would’ve kill him if he even had a sexual thought about her. His internal battle between lustful thoughts of her and what he wants to do to her versus what Antonio would want has been ragging for years. When she propositions him to teach her everything about seduction he can’t believe what he is hearing. Taken by surprise he can’t think straight and must take the time to think this through. Jack feels is position with The Fiorini Group is on the verge of being loss so he decides to take her up on her offer.

As the lessons begins both of them are trying to keep this just sexual with no emotional strings attached. After a break in a Eva’s apartment the deaths of her family are starting to look more and more suspicious. Where will these lesson lead and who is trying to wipe out the Fiorini family.
The book leaves us hanging and wanting more of this adventure. The characters are well developed the story has the right mix of passion, intrigue and mystery. What will happen with Jack and Eva’s feelings for each other? Who is following her and breaking into her apartment? Maybe the next book will shed some light. I highly recommend this book.

Teach Me is the first book in the Lesson of Seduction serial series and it's also Sophie debut. She did an amazing job and it's a great start to a series...

Jack has devoted his life to the real estate firm he started with his best friend, Antonio along with Antonio's father and since their deaths, he has worked even harder to prove to the board that he is just as powerful as they were. The firm is his life and part of the reason why he is a bachelor and won't settle down. Sex is just that, sex, to him. He doesn't have time for anything else until the one woman he shouldn't want has a proposal for him, an indecent one.

Eva has lived a shelter life. Her father and Antonio protected her like a fine piece of porcelain, she loved them for it but she was now 26 and they were gone. She is ready to experience more out of life. She owns her own successful skincare line but she is ready to not only date but make men go wild. She knows exactly who can teach her the ways of seduction, her brother's best friend Jack Bennett. He also happens to be the man she has lusted after since before she even knew the word. Could she pull this off without falling?

Jack can't believe he agreed to do this. Eva is an innocent beauty, one that he hasn't looked at as his best friends little sister for a long time. He hid his desires and he did it well but now, he can't anymore. Not with the way he looks at her, feels against her lips, and against his body. The lessons would not only be for her but him as well but how far could he really go? She is the one woman he wouldn't ever want to hurt.

This really is a great start to a serial series. The characters are well-developed and I am already loving them. There isn't just hot lessons being learned, there is mystery behind the main story. I want to solve it!

Quotes:

Who the hell was this sexy-as-sin woman, and what had she done with little Eva?

“I mean, it’s not that hard to believe she wants all this. She’s a Fiorini, after all, and they know quality when they see it.”

“Slow and confident, you’re unveiling a priceless, precious work of art…”

The last thing Jack Bennett expected with the proposition that he received from Eva Fiorini. She's always been like a sister to him ever since meeting her so many years ago. Even though this could be the worst decision he'll ever make, it's too tempting to pass up.

Eve has had the biggest crush on Jack for longer than she can remember. Now after years of being under her father's and then brother's overprotected thumb, she ready to learn things she only ever heard about. Sure she could find a stranger to help her, but there is no one she trust like Jack.

Now as they start their lessons, Eva gets that feeling that someone is following her but is it just a feeling or is there something afoot?

This is the first book in the Lessons In Seduction series and what a start it is. Jack is sexy as sin playboy that knows how to pleasure a woman like no other. He may be cocky and arrogant but knows his stuff. He's a strong, take no bullshit business man that know what it takes to get the job done.

Eva is smart, talented, and a successful entrepreneur. She classically sexy and men always stop to stare, but she only has eyes for one man. People look at her and assume she's just a pretty girl with no mind of her own, but there is more to her than her looks. She's thought long and hard about her proposition to Jack and knows this is just what she needs to come out of her shell. She's ready to take on the world.

This may the first book in the series, but boy is it sizzling. The fire that burns between the two will singe your fingertips and leave you breathless. These lessons may just be about sex, but between them the passion they share is out of this world. And there is a mystery brewing that could threaten their budding relationship.

This may be Sophie's debut, but her writing and storytelling is captivating and enchanting.

"Teach Me" is a Steamy, Titillating and rather Amusing Romantic Thriller that is a Fabulous first installment to the Lessons in Seduction series. The Hero is, to some extent, slightly unlikable - but that is by design. His guard is down whenever he is around the heroine and he turns adorable. The heroine, Eva, is guileless - shy, naive, and sheltered by her older brother and father. Because of their deaths the hero, Jack, is all she has left. Despite his intense sexual attraction to her - he feels it is his duty to be her Protector. Because of his "Manwhore" reputation and her school girl infatuation, that has grown to womanly lust, wants him to be the man who teaches her about Sex and Seduction. Even in this first book in the serial Sophie Holloway has the Hero and Heroine growing. The Hero maturing - tempering his "Manwhore" ways. The Heroine - finding more confidence in herself. There is an obvious threat to Jack's position within the company he started with the Eva's brother and father. But there is also another more mysterious and sinister threat building against Eva. This is the first installment of a series there for there is a Cliffhanger ending.
"Teach Me" is Sexy, Sexy, Romantic. Sophie Holloway gives a perfect emotional mash-up of Protector, Vulnerability, Loyalty, Lust, and Affection. With a dash of Thrill and Suspense. The first installment of the Lessons in Seduction series is short, yet chock full of great secondary characters, engaging main characters, with the hint of an intriguing backstory that, you know, is going to come into play very soon. The cliffhanger is indeed, "GAH!!!" inducing. But I feel it's going to be worth it.

Lessons in Seduction is a three part series that follows Jack and Eva’s romance. Overall, I gave this series 4 stars. This is one of those little sister falls for her older brother’s friend romances, which I always like. As with all of these types of stories, both Jack and Eva have felt an attraction to each other for years, but acting on that attraction seemed wrong to them. Eva is the innocent young woman looking to bring out her inner-vixen, while Jack is the experienced man who avoids commitment at all costs. In some ways, these characters came across as cliché, but this did not take away from my enjoyment of this series. Jack and Eva were fun characters, and I liked their story. There is some suspense and a mystery that keeps this story moving at a fast pace for the most part. The first two books, I had trouble putting down, but I did not feel quite as engaged by the third book, even though it was still well written. I also felt frustrated with Eva’s lack of caution considering the danger she was in. Still, I recommend checking this series out.

Teach Me is book one in the Lessons in Seduction series and it set the stage for this story. This book started out with Jack showing his playboy ways, while proving he had a soft spot for Eva. When Jack met Eva for brunch, he was shocked when she asked him to teach her the ways of seduction, and he wasn’t sure he could agree at first, no matter how much he wanted to. There was a lot of chemistry between these two, and some hot encounters. I loved how Jack was unable to keep his mind off Eva after agreeing to her terms. There was not much in the way of suspense in this first installment until the very end when a cliffhanger set the stage for book 2 and the mystery to come. I gave this first installment 4 stars.

This is the first book in the Lessions in Seduction Series by Sophie Holloway. This is not a full length novel with a HEA. Like many authors are doing today the are releasing parts of the story. This is a serial romance story with a cliffhanger. It is only 10 chapters and about 150 pages.

The story revolves around Jack Bennett and Eva Fiorini. Eva is a 28 yr old virgin, who has known Jack for years. Her over protective brother and father were partners in business with Jack. Eva has lost her father and then her brother both in tragic accidents. Now she has no family and is left wondering how to handle the attention men give her, so she got to the only person she can think to help her. Jack is a playboy man whore who has a different women every night. He's not looking for a series relationship because his business is his primary goal. That is until brunch one Sunday with Eva where she offers to attend a board meeting and support him, if he will do something for her.
With all of her courage she asks Jack, the man who she has crushed on for years, to teach her the ways of sex and how to seduce a man.
From there this Tory takes an intsting turn with everyone's life and emotions involved in this cute story. It's set in NYC, which really works for the characters. There are hints to something dark and dangerous learning on the edge that Eva may not even be fully aware of.
This book was well written with minimal grammatical errors, and characteristics that were personable and felt real.
I'm hopefully that the next story helps to fill in the gaps left by the first one.

I'm not gonna lie this cover sucked me in. What is it about men and women in a simple white man's dress shirt?? Anywhoooo .... I really enjoyed this book. It was short and left on a huge " dun dun daa" moment. This book had a creepy element to it and I have a feeling we just know the tip of the iceberg with that situation.

The other aspect of this book ( the hot sex of course) was hella off the charts hot!! Eva has had a huge crush on her brothers best friend, jack since she was a little girl. However, he has always thought of her as a little sister and vowed to protect and watch over her. But, bow Eva is all grown up and looking sexy as hell. Jack would have to be half dead not to notice the beautiful women she became. So you can only imagine his predicament when Eva asks him to teach her the ways of all thing sex.

Jack maybe a self proclaimed man whore but Eva is not like the other women he usually beds. He cares for her, and wants to keep her safe. But he can't deny that the idea of teaching Eva how to pleasure a man in the bedroom has all the blood in his body rushing downward. So he agrees but he wants something in return from sweet Eva.

This short may of been short but it was packed full of steamy sex, danger, and laughs. I can not wait for the next installment of this serial series. Let's just say the book ended right before the really good stuff!! I recommend this book to anyone who ever wished they had a sexy hot alpha to show them all the ways to cry uncle in bed!!

A Review of Teach Me by Sophie Holloway

Mystery, Suspense and Sex - 5 stars

This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Holloway, but man was it a doozy. We meet Jack, lover of women and breaker of hearts. He is somewhat worried about his business and rumblings that he should not be the one running the company. He helped build the company to what it now is with the help of his best friend and partner, but with Antonio's recent death, he is the next in line to run the company.

But, with all the whispering he needs to get Eva (Antonio's sister) to support him at the next board meeting. Eva, however, has a proposition for Jack that she wants to talk about before she agrees to anything else. She wants him to teach her about sex and how to be a seductress.

The characters are very well developed and the mystery starts to unfold naturally, with little bits here and there. By the end of the book, when she gets a call about her home being broken into, she has started to wonder if her life really is in danger. Her father and brother kept her protected from everything and everyone, always telling her that she needed to be careful. She never thought there was anything to it until she starts feeling like someone is watching and following her. Who is this older man that approached her when she was just 5 or 6 years old...what did he want ... why is he following her now... what secrets does he think she knows?

Teach Me By Sophie Holloway - 3 stars

This one was a cute short story with a good and promising plot but somehow along the way my interest faded more and more.

Jack is a well known player and women adore him and would do pretty much anything for a night with him. He is running a big company and trying to hold it together after his best friend Antonio died in a tragic accident. Just when things couldn't get any worse Antonio's little sister Eva approaches Jack and asks him to help her.
What she needs help with is a bit awkward. She wants Jack to teach her how to seduce and satisfy men. And right there and then desire within him for her awakens and he is fighting a inner battle of giving in to her request and staying true to his friend and not play with his sister.
Someone has eyes on Eva and she feels followed but she brushes it all off with a paranoia that her father and brother imposed on her.

There were some good elements in the book that could have turned our really great.
But something was lacking for my taste. The mystery was promising but there was just too little of it.
The sexy parts between Jack and Eva were OK, but nothing more I am afraid.
I wished for more background story, more depth, more quality.
This is a series but it could have easily been combined in one book and published as a stand alone instead.
