Oh nein! Pinsel hat den letzten Rest Honig gegessen. Aber ein Frühstück ohne Honig ist wie Afrika ohne Sonne. Zum Glück weiß Tafiti, wo es Nachschub gibt: natürlich beim Bienenstock! About the author

Julia Boehme studierte nach dem Abitur Literatur- und Musikwissenschaften in Berlin und arbeitete dann als Redakteurin. Bereits während dieser Zeit schrieb sie zahlreiche Beiträge für Zeitungen und Radiosender.

Im Anschluss an ihr Studium arbeitete sie als Redakteurin beim Kinderfernsehen, wo sie unter anderem die Sendung Käpt’n Blaubär betreute.

Seit 2000 ist Boehme als freie Autorin tätig und hat ihren Beruf als Redakteurin aufgegeben. Sie lebt heute mit ihrer Familie in Berlin. Nach ihren Werken aus der Anfangszeit entwickelte sie sich zu einer ernst zu nehmenden Schriftstellerin. Ihre Conni-Bücher sind auch psychologisch durchdachte Werke, die Konflikte und Konfliktlösungen aus der Lebenswelt der Kinder darstellen und reflektieren.

Very simple, but adorable Chapterbook, good for beginners as it still has a lot of illustrations. It kept both my 3 year old enthralled and my 5 year old entertained, so that alone was worth it. But it also provided interesting facts and references to different animals, that my kids were less familiar wirh and that we read up on afterwards like termites and honeybadgers. Definitely not the last of this series we will read together.

Surprisingly good find. Easy chapter book that we read in one go and that had enough illustrations to also captivate / string along the 3 year old who is less chapter book inclined than his sister was at his age. The 5 year old enjoyed the story and we immediately had to then read up on honeybadger.
