Although Andrea Vianca Hernaez seems like a typical college instructor at Southern Yale University, she doesn't quite fit in.
Vian owes a lot to Ma'am Angela that she'll do anything to repay her kindness. Kaya naman nang minsang may hilingin si Ma'am Angela kay Vian para sa anak nitong si Lee Mitsui Peterson ay pikit-matang pumayag si Vian. But little does she know, her temporary involvement with Mitsui might as well be a lifetime commitment.
I think this is my first time rating a book with 1 star but I didn't like it at ALL.
UPDATE: 1/24/16
This includes some spoiler because I know that your not gonna read it. Also this review includes some cussing (which I always do *smiles innocently* )
My first read of 2016 turned out to be bad. Really bad. Don't get me wrong, the synopsis really sounds interesting.
Andrea Vianca Hernaez is an instructor at Southern Yale University. She doesn't have a parents anymore but "Ma'am Angela" helped her a lot with her life so if she requests something Vianca will do anything. So when she said that she need to marry her son-Lee Mitsui Peterson, she agrees.
So let's elaborate the things that I didn't like.
1. Viana was forced to marry Mitsui because he got a girl pregnant. MAJOR WTF. What's wrong with you. You had sex with a girl, then now she's pregnant and your running from all your responsibilities?!
2. There was a lot of "2 weeks later" "1 week later " "5 years ago" and IT'S FCKING ANNOYING ME. Sometimes it takes one chapter for one day and it makes the story confusing and boring.
3. Teacher-student relationship. I have read wattpad books with teacher-student relationship and it was okay but with this books IT WAS NOT OKAY. They're the same age but ugh I can't take it.
4. The title must be "Marrying Mr. Fuckboy." If "Marrying Mr. Fuckboy would be the title, I WILL NOT READ IT. Yes, I've read books with this topics but THIS IS TOO MUCH.
5. They're both dumb and stupid. Mr. fuckboy was fcking her stepsister (also his first love) then Ms. Stu- Mrs. Stupid saw it and hear the noise they're making so she walks out and cries. Then Mr. Fuckboy said sorry then Mrs. Stupid accepted his apology. Then Mr. Fuckboy was again cheating *claps slowly* then Mrs. Stupid once again accepted him. But I was really happy at the same time annoyed when she finally left Mr. Fuckboy (they live in the same house). <-- This is actually the plot (your welcome) and some annoying happenings. NO FCKING CHEMISTRY AT ALL.
6. and I was hoping they would both diein the end. *plays Linkin Park songs* *laughs wickedly* *carries bombs, shotguns and knife then kill them* <-- that's what I want to do while reading this.
7. Their relationship. Their relationship is like a light switch. On and off.
8. They solve their problems by kissing each other and having sex. OH, COME ON. SERIOUSLY? Having sex is not the solution for every problem. I may be innocent looking ( as what my friends say) but I know a lot of things. Books with topics like this is not a problem with me because I'm open minded but this was just so plain.
9. They made the small problems to bigger ones. Do I need to say more? It's obvious. And oh, I like to name them Mr. Fuckboy and Mrs. Stupid.
10. The book was going nowhere. The same things happen again and again. The cheating the apologies. UGH. I was expecting some development or any positive things but NOT A SINGLE THING APPEARED.
The book is like a food with no ingredients or toppings or whatsoever. So here's a little presentation of how I feel.
___________ <--- WHAT I FEEL WHEN I READ THIS BOOK
This is the very first Sizzle book from Summit Media that I've read and I'm a little disappointed not by the plot but of the characters. I know that they are still young when they married but I'm really dissatisfied especially on the male protagonist and how a big jerk he is.
I winced when I read the part where Mitsui have to hurt a female schoolmate because of what she did to Vianca. This only shows that Mitsui has a tendency to physically hurt anyone even if it's a girl. Okay, we understand that he was fuming but it doesn't permit him to turn his outrage by inflicting pain to others even if that person hurt the person you love. And this is the main reason why I have to rate this only 3 stars instead of 4. I could have rated this 4 out of 5 stars because I quite enjoyed the phasing of the story but because of that particular scene and Mitsui's personality, I have to lower my rating.
I bought this back in 2015. I just started reading and I couldn’t sit and finish it. The narration was dull and didn’t really make sense. The author seems to be in a rush to get “to a certain point” dahil halos lahat ng scenes ay parang synopsis or summary lang ng mga important events, especially the first couple of chapters. It lacked dialogue when introducing major characters. Overall, it was unbearable to read unfortunately. I’m only in chapter 3 and I don’t think I’ll finish it.
I feel that this novel could’ve been edited better too. I feel that the publishing company limited the author’s ability to write in a way that gives justification sa story.
It was hard for me to put the book down. The plot is unusual and I doubt if it will happen in real life but nonetheless, it's a feel-good story. It reminded me of my "pocket book" days.
