Dick and Jennifer Brogden’s passion in ministry is to bring the gospel to the Arab world by church planting in those nations. The Brogdens have lived and ministered among Muslims for the last 19 years in three African nations. Dick and Jennifer have two boys, Luke and Zack, both of whom were born and raised in Africa. They currently lead a church planting team that will equip team leaders to plant churches throughout the Arab-Muslim world.
Since university, Dick has dreamed of God using his life to bring one million Muslims to saving faith in Jesus Christ; he humbly acknowledges, however, “I may never lead many, but if I can influence some who will influence others and be a catalyst for ministry in the M*slim world, I would love to see that happen. I want to live a life to make much of God.”
Dick ministers alongside many multi-national missionary teams and strongly believes in the power of spiritual multiplication, as well as the importance of developing self-sustaining ministries. His next goal is to train 33 teams to plant churches in various cities in the Arab world. Dick hopes that God will enable his teams to accomplish this, and then he hopes that another 400 teams will be sent to preach the gospel to every unreached people group in the Arab world. “Then I can die happy,” he says.
Through God’s grace, Dick and Jennifer have been blessed to see their ministry in one African nation multiply seven times, after they faithfully raised and equipped leaders to run home churches. These churches currently feed several hundred believers and are now ministering to third generation Christians. Through the use of spiritual multiplication to create self-sustaining ministries, the believers in that country are now equipped and enabled to continue to reach their country with the gospel through their international church, international school, ladies’ community centre, indigenous development agency, as well as several English centres and cooperative training networks.

I read a Dick Brogden devotional in back-to-back years, 2023 and 2024. I appreciate Dick's passion of taking the Good News to all nations. Each day of this devotional covers a passage from the Old Testament, a passage from the Gospels, and passage from Acts and the Epistles, and a Psalm. Dick is amazing in how he can tie that day's passages together with key Biblical threads from each of the four sections of Scripture. At the bottom of each page of his devotional guide is a prayer request for an unreached people group.

- engage in deep introspection with the goal of maturing in your Christian walk
- grow in obedience to what you hear God speak
- let go of those things that continue to tether you to this world
- spend extravagant time in the Word and in silence and solitude on a daily basis
If you are, then this devotional is for you. By the time you finish this devotional you would have read through the Old Testament once, Psalms and the New Testament twice, the Gospel accounts four times, and a few select books of the Old and New Testament a third time. You would've also prayed for Muslim people groups many times. And, if you're daring enough, you would've challenged your own thinking and actions as they relate to living a life of radical obedience.
Ultimately, you would've changed from the day you begin the study to the day you end it as it's just not possible to dedicate so much time to drawing near to God without change.

Challenging, thought provoking, joyful. These are just a few of the emotions I felt going through this devotional. Dick Brogden puts it all out on the table and challenges you and pushes you with truth. I was gifted this by a close friend who is a missionary and it is one of the best and toughest devotionals I’ve ever gone through. Will definitely be going through it again. Highly recommend it.

Lots of good stuff in this devotional! It came to me highly recommended by people deeply involved in mission to unreached peoples. I love that it gives focused prayer prompts for unreached people groups each day! That has a way of focusing the mind and keeping us connected to God's mission. The reading plan is standard "read the Bible in a year" fare: OT, Psalm, Gospel, Epistle. The reason that I gave this devotional 3 stars instead of 4 is that there are some theological speculations that are misleading, in my opinion.

I don’t even remember how I found this 365 daily devotional. I read it during our difficult year in Houston, and it was exactly what I needed to start Bible Journaling. Each daily devotional was written out of the day’s Bible reading so I got to read the Bible in a year, while reading encouraging daily devotionals to match. Genius! So glad I got it as an eBook because it’s a HUGE book!

One of the best daily devotionals I have found to date. Has a way to go through the bible should you want, but also has incredibly simple and relatable one page devotions for the date. It also emphasized praying for those in the 10/40 window. Each day had a different specific unreached people group, with a way to pray for them, and a verse to pray over them!!!

Absolutely worth it. I’m not a daily devotional book person because I want to practice having my own revelations, but this system and thoughts by Dick Brogden was life changing…because Jesus is life changing. He never is “light and fluffy” with his shares, and continues to bring the reader to place of reflection and centered on God. This is not for the news believer looking to feel good each day, but is fire any believer new or old, looking for authentic and disciplined devotional time. Also the call to pray for a specific group of an unreached people group each day was humbling and powerful.

Inspirational,detailed and challenging devotional. This book contains some strong meat that are seemingly controversial but with open mind and the Holy Spirit's guidance, they can be chewed and assimilated for spiritual nourishment.
