As each woman finds her special talent and develops it through the renovation of the inn, they also find romance—each of them with an unforgettable hero.

The sweetheart: Olivia Renault is the only daughter of a Savannah businessman, Jack Renault. Having recently inherited the once famous resort, Savannah House, along with her dearest friends, Olivia is excited about the future enterprise and all of the possibilities. Olivia’s heart is energized when Hunter Rawlings, an old flame, returns to town for the wedding of her best friend, Callie Duvall. Having truly never gotten over Hunter, Olivia finds herself falling for him all over again. But can she really trust her heart with the man who once broke it?

The rebel-millionaire: Once the bad boy of Savannah, Hunter Rawlings left his hometown a decade ago and transformed himself into a successful, wealthy businessman. Hunter returns to Savannah for the wedding of his childhood friends, Callie Duvall and Jax Holden. Once back in Savannah, Hunter comes face to face with the one who got away—Olivia Renault. As teenagers, Hunter and Olivia were involved in a secret romance that ended abruptly when Hunter roared out of Savannah on a motorcycle and toward a new life away from his hometown. As Hunter’s feelings for Olivia return with a vengeance, he grapples with a huge secret he’s harboring—one that might rip Olivia out of his arms forever.

This is the second time that I have read this and it was just as good as the first time! I first read this a couple of weeks after it came out in January 2016, and fell in love with this author and her books! One of the things that I love about her books are the wonderful quotes at the beginning of each chapter, like: “Forgiveness is the best gift you can ever bestow on someone.” And: “A life well lived is a wonderful gift to yourself. If given the choice, dance till dawn & love with every inch of your heart.” These characters in her stories are wonderfully woven and connected in each story, and I have anxiously waited to read each story as soon as they are released. I love the author’s
wonderful themes of forgiveness and second chances. My favorite scene was when Hunter pushed Olivia on the swing and asked her how many pushes would it take to earn forgiveness. But my absolute favorite quote in this book was when Hunter said: “God had my back…He was with me every step of the way. When things got dark & stormy, I leaned on Him. And He never failed me. Not once.” I just wished I had left this review a year ago! I HIGHLY recommend this book and this author! The Second Time Reading It Was AS GOOD AS The First!!!

God, family and love are most important.

Going our own way may lead to riches, but listening to God's prodding brings joy. Learning from our mistakes make us better people, since none of us are perfect yet :).

This was such an enjoyable read! I was in love before the end of chapter 1, and deemed the book to be probably my favorite Belle Calhoune novel so far.

THE ULTIMATE BETRAYAL

Ten years ago, Hunter roared out of Olivia's life, and now he's roaring back in the same way...on a motorcycle. But things have changed. They both have changed.
Callie and Jack are getting married and Hunter returns to Savannah for the wedding, but he has another purpose in returning. He grew up fairly poor, and when his father was killed by a drunk driver, his family's life got even harder. He was determined to come back to Savannah and prove himself to all the people who thought he'd never amount to anything, to all those who gave his family charity back then. He didn't need their charity anymore and never would again. But there was even more to it than that. He was planning the hostile takeover of Olivia's father's company...the company he took a lifetime to build. When Hunter was younger, that company made their family the cream of the crop. Jack was king, but the company was failing and Hunter was going to take it over, as he'd done many companies in the past. That's how he made his millions.
He hadn't counted on his feelings for Olivia still being as strong as they were though, or maybe even stronger than they had been. And he hadn't counted on Olivia still having any feelings for him. What would happen to those feelings when Olivia found out what the second purpose for his return had been? Would there ever be hope of fixing the mess he was creating?
Olivia and her friends were on track for opening the bed and breakfast Miss Hattie had left to them in her will. When Hunter finds out she volunteers 30 hours a week at a youth center, without pay, he has no idea what else she's doing with her life and acts like the work she does to help those kids means nothing if she's not getting paid. It's all about money to him now. He's not the Hunter she begged and pleaded not to leave her all those years ago. She was even willing to leave with him back then, but he's a man now, and a wealthy, money-oriented man at that. But darned if her heart still goes crazy at the sight of him. And it doesn't take long before he's swept her off her feet...again.
You get to the end of this book and think there's no way things work out after this. If Hunter achieves his goal of taking over the family business, how could Olivia possibly forgive him? What kind of man would do that anyway if he still cared for her?
This book is all about love and forgiveness, second chances and the ties that bind a family together through the good and bad times, whether you agree or not. You still love, you still forgive, and you still cling to God and each other to get you through.

As I have said before, Ms. Calhoune knows how to pull you right in to a story... A well to do little girl and a poor little boy that are destined to be together. Although this may sound like a fairy tale in the works, I can assure you that it's not. Ms. Calhoune's style of writing gives you so many details about the characters that you feel as if you know them... you can visualize them... the scenes portrayed can unfold in your mind like you were a bystander. I greatly enjoyed Olivia's and Hunter's story as well as that of their parents. I am a big fan of series and love the continuity and depth that develops when you deal with main characters throughout the different parts of the series. This is no exception. Well written, loveable characters, and heart tugging moments make this a book well worth reading.

Olivia and Hunters story is truly amazing. Olivia has been in love with Hunter forever. While she is helping her friends get there inheritance ready, she is so excited that Miss.Hattie found a way to bring them back together. With everything she is doing helping her friends and getting ready for Callie's wedding Hunter is always on her mind. When Hunter comes back for the wedding both of their lives will change. You can feel God working throughout this whole book. This book deserves a higher rating than a five star rating.

Another great series by Belle Calhoune. Olivia quickly became a favorite character in book one of the series, so I was glad to see her story in book 2. Hunter is a hero to fall in love with, and Olivia the woman you want to have as your best friend. A Moment in the Moonlight, is a great book to curl up with a cup of tea and get lost for a few hours.

A realistic, good, fast paced book. The little rich girl and the little poor boy from Savannah held on to the memories they carved in a tree years ago. The little poor boy achieved his educational and financial goals to become successful. He learned a valuable lesson that money can't buy everything.

A good, clean romantic read. Much better than the first book in this series. The plot and characters are much more fully developed and with more action. I only spotted a couple of facts that were contradictory. Overall, an enjoyable story!

A Moment in the Moonlight: Secrets of Savannah Book 2 is by Belle Calahoune. It is the second in the series about six girls who were left a gigantic house/resort on Tybee Island. What would they do with it?
Hunter Rawlings always felt the disgrace of his family. Although they were close, he felt the burden of being poor for his family. After his Father died, his Mother worked as a single Mother to care for her three boys; but sometimes was unable to work. This caused severe thunder. Hunter decided to steal a ham from the Ranault family. They could afford it. However, he was caught by Jack Renault; but with the intervention of his daughter, Olivia. Hunter was humiliated; but Olivia fell in love. However, Hunter left town without her.
Now Hunter is back, a millionaire. Has he come back just to see his family and for Jet and Callie’s wedding, or is there something more?
