Star rating reflects my thoughts on the organization and notes the editors added to this version…it is not reflective of my thoughts about Scripture itself. I find it interesting to read the Bible in some kind of contrived chronological order, but I do think it’s best to read each of the various books in its own context. Notes were well done for the most part, but terribly abbreviated (as they must be when included in a single edition) and didn’t give a thorough run down of differing views on various matters, but it can hardly be blamed for that. Only so much one can include in an edition like this.

Started reading this probably two decades ago, picking it up in fits and starts, only finishing today.
