Ride with Me

Rate this book
Two stories from two hot MC series, two couples, two motorcycle clubs.
One transport brings them together as they keep the love alive in their relationships.

Drexel ‘Rex’ Crews, hands down, gives his woman, Caroline ‘Lux’ Milton, whatever she wants, whenever she wants it. Now she wants a wedding. But first, he has a run for Crews Transports to Sumner, Georgia for the Ravage MC before he can give her the rest of his life.
Every run for the Hellions MC is full of danger and chaos, and this one is no different. Rex just needs to get it done and get home to give his ol’ lady his last name.

Donavon ‘Cruz’ surprised his ol’ lady, Harlow ‘Princess’ Gavelson, with a hell of a rock on Valentine’s day, knowing he and Cooper are hers for life. While excited, neither is pressing to set a date for the big day. They love life and live it to its fullest, always knowing it’s going to throw them curveballs at every turn.

Cruz and the Ravage MC have a huge run that requires a little assistance from the Hellions MC to split the load and get it to its location on time. While the guys are gone, Princess learns some unexpected news that will change everything.

What happens while these key players in their clubs are away? Are they prepared for what they come home to? Two clubs, two couples, one transport, and very little is the same by the end of the ride.

Harlow refused to acknowledge that carrying twins would require more rest. Instead of asking her mother and sister-in-law for help she just thought she was Wonder Woman. When she developed high blood pressure she finally seemed to grasp that lives hung in the balance. Was so selfish at points. Still don't like Cruz's domination in the bedroom. Yuck.
Review Lux and Rex, Cruz and Princess each have continuations of their stories in this book. The first half deals with Lux and Rex and how this transport gives each of them insight into what they want in their relationship. Lux realizes what is important and decides that NYC is not the right place to get married. Rex knows he wants it all with Lux and is pleased with the surprise she has waiting for him at the end of his run.
Cruz and Princess have a big surprise handed to them in their story continuation. Harlow really does still get on my nerves but somehow I like her anyway. It was a sweet look at how life can throw you a curve ball and you just have to adapt each time. Harlow really did do too much and I was astounded at some of her stubborn thoughts. Instead of asking for help she almost lost it all. Cruz surprised me with not understanding that she needed help and that Coop would drain her physically and mentally. I thought he should have been chastised along with her for not stepping up more. The ending was nice and was a good place to leave their story

First Impressions
Ride With Me is a duology of a combination of two different authors and two different series and seeing their world collide. Its also more of a extended epilogue type of story that feature both couples. We each get a novella into what is happening with their happily ever after and I actually really enjoyed these coming together. There is plenty of feels, not much as far as plot necessarily is concerned, but its definitely written in a way to finish off these generations and lead into the second generation of books or at least from where Ryan Michele is concerned. As this is my first Chelsea Camaron, I am not sure what the series is like for her, but after I go through this world with Ryan Michele, I definitely want to explore more of Chelsea Cameron. It definitely had some similar writing style to it.

First Line
"Souther bred, southern fed, and Lux, I'll damn sure be southern when I'm dead. Love you, babe, but New York ain't the place to be."

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Drexel and Cruz
Drexel is a hard, biker and MC is the only life for him. He is duty bound to his brothers forever but is wanting to give his woman the world.

Cruz, is a dad and wants to be a husband to his princess, but the biker way is the only way of life for him but wants to be everything for his family, no matter what.

The Heroine: Lux and Princess
Lux is a classy type of woman, who has dedicated herself to being part of the MC world. But she is having to adjust to a different way of life and it not being easy. But wanting to give her man every part of her and something special on the side.

Princess has always lived the life in the MC world, but her life is about to change when she learns that she is pregnant. She will see a different side to motherhood and the sacrifices she might have to make for her children.

Summary
In the installment that we receive from the author "Chelsea Camaron" we have a set up of where Rex and Lux and learning what it means to be together and wanting to give each other the world and that being part of a MC means sacrifice for their club. They both want to give each other the best wedding of the century, but realize that all they need each other and their families to celebrate their love. Its a story of hard truths about the rough life they both signed on for but willing to stand by each other no matter what.

Princess and Cruz are living their best lives in the MC and being the parents to their little guy who has captured the heart of every biker in the Ravage MC. But when Princess learns that she is pregnant not with just one baby, but twins, her life will drastically change. Her loyalty has always been to the club, but now she is learning what sacrifice and love is all about for her babies and being the woman that is the heart of their family.

What I Loved
These were both adorable stories, with plenty of splice of life feels to them. These are more life extended epilogues, with a slight epilogue to them but it's not super pronounced. Just expect plenty of smexy times and lots of emotion and feels to get you through it all. I absolutely adored the way in which we see them come together and how these two stories connect but yet are different. I really found the writing for Chelsea Camaron to be so fascinating. There is an element that I really enjoyed being focused on here in that the biker lifestyle is hard to adapt to and enjoyed the way that we see Lux adjust a bit and fight for her man and give him a beautiful day.

Then we get to Cruz and Princess and loved seeing them together again. I will admit their story was my least favorite of the series but they have been so elemental throughout the series and I just love little Coop. But when we see Princess get pregnant, wow boy, we really see such a more maternal change within Princess and seeing her go through a pregnancy, their style of a wedding and seeing them face some struggles with having twins and standing together as a family was so heartfelt! Definitely worked my emotions so good here.

If you love seeing extended epilogues in a series you start to love, then you definitely need to pick this up here. I absolutely adored it so deeply. Definitely very splice of life and just endearing. Especially for the Ravage MC series, this is a good finale before we get to the 2nd generation which is what is up next so I am very excited for it.

What I Struggled With
Too much focus on the sex factor in the relationship. Its an aspect that isn't my favorite in MC books where everything is about sex and nothing else sometimes and that seemed to be the vibe that was focused on a bit and I could have used it a bit less.

Overall View
Ride With Me Is a delightful installment that will intrigue, fascinate, and tangle with your emotions in the most delightful way!

Recommendation For Reading Order
You don't need to read these books in order if you don't want to. You might be missing some details on their original pairing set up, but its easy to get lost in and catch onto details. I was just fine with the Hellions novella even though I haven't read that series yet.

Steam/Spice Explanations

Simmering cup of tea---soft warm touches and light intimacy
Warmin' by the fire- a medium level of sexual tension, a balance of sexual and emotional intimacy, lighter on the details in the sexual moments.
Steamin' up the room -the sexual content is more explicit in the language and tone, heavier amount of sexual scenes.
Blazing fire to the building-The prime focus is the sex scenes, scorching hot, and could burn one. Less focus on the emotional intimacy to the relationship.

This was good. I only read the Hellions half because it was 2 books in one. Caroline definitely listened to Rex and took what she wanted. (He's always telling her "You want it. You gotta take it Lux")

Two short stories, one from from each MC.

Story One (Chelsea Camaron): 2 stars

I have book one in the Hellions MC but haven't read it. After reading this short story, I am not sure I ever will because I don't like the author's bad habit of putting a character's whole name including club nickname out there as soon as the character comes on the scene. That would drive me crazy over the course of a full series. I gave it 2 stars because the story was good and her dialogue is well-written. The Carolyn character is pretty bizarre and can't seem to get with the program on appropriate clothing. Part of this is on me for jumping in at the middle of a series. There was also too much ruminating over the past for my taste, and that repetition is generally a sign to me that an author is just trying to come up with enough story to fill up a certain amount of pages (historical bodice-ripper authors are the worst culprits of this practice). Just tell me once because I am not stupid and don't need to read the same thing more than once.

Story Two (Ryan Michele): 3-1/2 Stars

This is a series I am attached to, so I was happy to read this one...

This is a peek at Princess and Cruz when they are just having twin babies Lennox and Austyn. It was cute. Princess is a non-girly sort of woman having to put up with a surprise wedding and baby shower stuff that makes her very uncomfortable. As long as the other women put it all together, she can show and put up with it. I had forgotten that Nox (Lennox) was Cruz's son, too, and I was worried the boy twin had died. I was remembering just Cooper and Austyn as their kids. No matter, I liked this slice of life story and I like their series and the one about the kids, Ravage MC Bound, even more. Ms. Michelle's writing has improved a lot.

Marking this as read for the Ryan Michelle part - when I read the Camaron series to this point, will come back.

Enjoyed seeing Cruz and Princess at the end of this series as they were the couple that started the Ravage series, one of my fav series.

July 17, 2017. Finished the Camaron part of this anthology. Loved being able to see Rex and Lux married, along with the rest of the Hellions gang. Also interesting just to read about the nitty gritty associated with a regular Hellions transport company trip across the states.

Happy reading!

Rex and Caroline have always been my two least favorite characters in this series because I feel like she isn't really the right fit for the MC life. I still feel that way, case in point, she's wearing stilettos to go fishing!  Who the fuck does that? Not even the most novice fishermen would be stupid enough to do that, that woman is just plain fucking wierd. I'm not saying you have to be ghetto, low class nor trashy to be part of a bikers life but come on, try to fit in, at least a little.

In any case, as annoying as Caroline's wardrobe choices may be, this short story was not bad. There was alot of repetition which was annoying as hell and I didn't see the need for, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The nicest part, I think, was the invitation she sent Rex to their own wedding. It was worded so sweetly, it's like who wouldn't want to marry her after reading something like that?

Looking forward to the next read and the old/new/old threat from the Fury MC, that seems very interesting and we already got a preview of it in this book.

Loved it! Cruz and Princess have certainly been through the ringer but they always stick together, this short story is no different. Many readers dislike Princess because of hardcore and take no shit attitude but that's what makes her so perfect for Cruz. I will admit in her story, the first book in this series, she did things that were questionable and just flat out gross, but her character grew on me. She's a badass, she kicks ass and she's completely loyal to her friends, family and those she loves.

This short read was super cute with the not so surprising wedding, she always keeps it real, no fancy shmancy stuff. I love that their son, Cooper, actually talks like a child. Nothing more annoying than when an author writes in a character of a small child but has that child speaking and acting like an adult. Really, like a damn three year old will speak like a thirty year old. Sad and scary about everything else Princess and Cruz have to deal with but it is a real thing, preeclampsia, it's also so very dangerous but it was nice to see them stick together through all the positive as well as the negative aspects of the illness and it's outcome.

loved Rex, "breaking our kiss, I growl, “I know what I want right now. You want the beast, baby?” I loved seeing Rex and Lux be so in love and I also really loved how Lux could be a tale charge girl and gets things done.

Loved these two books and found a new author

Hellions..Chelsea Camaron

Lux and Rex have been through a lot..it’s time for them to get hitched and start their lives together. When Rex goes on a run, Lux puts plans in motion to tie her man to her permanently.

I’m new to this author and the brief Hellion MC info she gives in their story and I’m already hooked. So hooked, that I may read Rex and Lux first and then go back and start from the beginning (I’m quirky that way). This story was so cute and sexy I couldn’t help but wonder how they got here to their HEA...their black and red wedding, and their connection to their family. There’s a story there and this small glimpse has peeked my curiosity enough to want to know more.

Ravage MC- Ryan Michele

Princess and Cruz have been engaged for a year..while Princess doesn’t want to whole ceremony thing, Cruz wants his woman tied to him and Coop as soon as possible and with this new change, it’s more important than ever. Princess can’t resist anything Cruz wants..what’s a girl to do but get married.

I loved seeing Cruz and Princess weather a storm. I’m in awe of their connection and I love his mantra of “We’ll deal” every time she gets worried or upset about an issue. The club and their family will be needed more than ever now and they don’t disappoint. This story was moving and exciting along with its sexiness as only Ryan Michele can bring. I loved seeing the next generation come to light..I’m ready to see how these young’ens compare to the originals.

WOW!!

I am just about speechless. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around what I just read. I love the crossover introduction to the Hellions MC. Now I'm looking forward to reading more about them. Getting more story of Cruz and Princess leaves me craving more. I started this series in the wrong order. I started with Connected in Pain which is the next generation of the Ravage crew then I went back and started at the beginning so this has answered alot of questions for me but I still have more. So now I'm going to the Bound series and get to know all the families. These two besides Ma and Pops are my favorite couple. Cruz and Princess are hard-core bad@sses but this book really shows us a softer side to them especially Princess. Little Cooper is still stealing the show, he's all kinds of adorable and now Cruz and Princess are going into cuteness overload. Lol. At times I was crying my eyes out right along with Princess. When GT starts talking to Cruz about little Deke and his sh*t I was laughing out loud just picturing the big bad@ss biker who can gut someone and not blink an eye but cringe over changing a sh*tty diaper had me cracking up. And I didn't think it was possible for Cruz and Princesses sex life to get any hotter but ummm, I was so wrong. Pregnancy hormones, need I say more? Lol! As always I love how the Ravage family always comes together for each other no matter what. I highly recommend this series to everyone.

These 2 novellas are great and only intertwine in a few spots, but these two MC are hot sexy and shooting for a happily ever after and a ride of a life time.
For the Hellions Rex is starting to show that he is growing up and starting to think about more then just himself since he put a ring on Lux’s finger. But he’s gotta help Tripp with this one crazy ride that’s helping out the Ravage MC, and with a run down with a group from the past will have these guys on full alert. While Rex is away Lux has decided she just wants a wedding with friends, and family she doesn’t need the bright lights and hustle of New York City like she thought she did. Lux with the help from Doll and Sass plan the wedding of her dreams and to finally be Mrs. Crews.
For Cruz and Princess all he wanted was to make her his wife and put babies in her and she didn’t care about a wedding to her a piece of paper didn’t really matter. While on the run Cruz calls to check in and feels like something is off with Princess when he’s talking to her because she is so tired little did they know that she was in fact pregnant once going to the dr they actually find out its twins. With a bunch of ups and downs just from the pregnancy hormones and what not will these two make it down the isle before the babies are born?

In the first half of the book you get Rex and Lux. Rex is on a transport and Lux is home waiting for him. She wants to start their life with a wedding in NY. The more she thinks about it she realizes that planning their wedding at the MC is what they are all about not some fancy place. Rex is surprised when he gets home and sees what she has planned.
In the second part Cruz and Princess are getting a surprise that they hadn't planned on. When complications arise the do everything they can to make it right.
This was a good fast read. Giving you a little look into what is happening in their lives. Plus a glimpse of the future of the MC's.

Ride With Me gives us the best of both worlds, as Chelsea Cameron and Ryan Michele gives us the Hellions MC and Ravage MC in one book. As two of our favourite couples from these clubs find their forever and the ultimate happiness. This novella will make you smile, shed a tear or three, laugh, warm your heart and give us a little more of the characters we have grown to love. It also shows us the softer side to these strong characters that sometimes get hidden from the world. If you didn’t love these two couples at the start you will be their biggest fans by the end.

Wow

I can't believe I have had this in my library for so long and just now read it. I have re-read both Ravage and Hellions books more than once. This has been one of the best books I've read in a long time. Cruz and Princess are my fav from Ravage and now I know how Austin and Nox came in the fold. Rex and Lux's book was awesome. I'll happy to have read how they got hitched. I love when you two write together. Can't wait from more from you both
