I was reluctant to read this at first because the blurb made me think that the main character, Mimi was a gold digger. The book kept me company through aimless times and all throughout I did not like the main character. The word "Gold digger" just kept flashing on and off. Anyhow, I guess I didn't put the book down. There was sexual tension from the beginning of the book, it literally sizzled through the pages and I had to see how the author was going to somehow turn it into love. Then an abandoned baby gets introduced, and the two main people, mimi and dusty, are brought together to care for the baby until the elusive young mother of the child returned. Mimi's humble personality and warm heart really wins the readers to her side, so dont read the blurb. Everything actually was a misunderstanding. The novel began with a widowed struggling mom vowing to marry rich. Her sights were set on the man who promised never to commit, the local well-mannered playboy. Lust sparks between them but their difference in goals keep them apart. Until a little Danny arrives, Dusty is helpless and Mimi's compassion for the infant draws them together. Things just got complicated...
