Tides of Deception is the third book in the Samantha Rite Adventure Series. The mystery continues.
Samantha Rite is about to embark on a life-changing journey when she and her daughter decide to move 1200 miles away from all that she's ever known to be with Lee, the love of her life.
Just hours before the big move, with the moving truck packed and ready to hit the road, Lee and his best friend Donovan mysteriously disappear.
Determined to find them, Sam enlists the help of her sister, and begins the long, perilous move to Florida. Once again, Sam finds herself frantically racing against time to save the one she loves.
She soon discovers, however, the search has put her own life and the lives of others in danger.
With an ocean of obstacles ahead of her, will she be able to keep her head above water or will the tides of deception prove to be too much?
This was a great read. It moved along at a nice pace, fast enough to keep one interested but not so fast as to miss out on details. The main characters are interesting and likable, and I found myself really rooting for things to go their way. There were a few moments of gasps of twists and turns. I was happy that the author included an epilogue...sometimes you are left wondering how things worked out a little further down the line. But things were nicely wrapped up. This was the final book in a three part series and I highly recommend reading the entire series. Each book is a page turning keeping you on your toes and unable to put the book down!
Samantha Rite is getting ready to move from Michigan to Florida with her daughter Brianna. When packed will live with her sister Deb until Lee comes to drive the truck with her things to Florida. Lee is looking for a treasure with Donovan his partner and gets into trouble. Sam and her sister go to Florida to check on Lee and Donovan because they are missing. All kinds of suspense and mystery happen.
I chose 5 stars because the adventure and mystery are fast moving and fun to try to figure out. The twist happened so fast it was dizzying. I recommend this book and all of Hope Callahan I've read (Savannah series, Garden Girls series, and this series) to any one who wants a light read with a great mystery in it.
I have now binge read every book in each of this author’s series. My favorite was Savannah, followed by the cruise ship series - but actually enjoyed them all. Found it to be the perfect antidote to these ominous times and the daily negative news. Great, clean uplifting escapism 😀. More, please 😉.
Too short and would have loved for it to continue. It kept you on the edge of your seat and I never saw the ending coming. Very surprising, exciting and loved the inclusion of Bible verses. It was everything I love about cozy mysteries and would love to read more. Maybe longer series is the only thing I would change.
This turned out to be a trilogy instead of the beginning of a series. It makes a good trilogy but I like the characters and I was hoping to see more of them. Well, maybe. You never know what Callaghan is going to do.
This was such an exciting series! Clean, but very suspenseful! I love all of Hope Callahan’s series and the characters, but this just might be my favorite!
Sam and Bri are moving to Florida. Lee and Donovan have gone missing. Without Lee to help Deb decides to help Sam drive to Florida. A really good ending for this trilogy and I enjoyed reading it.
Wonderful and exciting storyline. Sam isn't perfect but she is sincere. And she has these "feelings" that are amazingly accurate. Go with her as she and her daughter manage their lives.
It's hard to find clean Christian books of this caliber. Hope keeps the storyline moving at a fast pace and keeps the reader guessing what will happen next. The happily ever after ending was great.
Just when you think you have everyone pegged, someone throws a wrench in your thinking. It was a surprise to find just what was going on and what finally happened. I love these stories!
This was a wonderful series to read, hopefully there will be many more in this series to come. I will be anxiously waiting on getting notice on the next!
I really enjoyed this series. There were a few times I highlighted sentences that made me stop & think what you were trying to say or just missed some words.
Where are Lee and Donovan and why??? We are still using the map to get the treasure??? Congratulations Sam and Lee!!! i enjoyed this story and recommended the book.
This is the final book in the Deception trilogy written by Hope Callaghan and the twists, turns, suspense and romance just kept coming! This book continues the great storyline and character development created in Books 1 and 2 and all the loose ends of the storyline tied together. All three books in this series are light reads but manage to keep the reader’s interest. I found myself holding my breath on several occasions. It came as complete surprise when Ms. Callaghan revealed the final villains. As with all Ms. Callaghan’s books, this one contains no graphic violence, sexually explicit scenes or inappropriate language. This author is a blessing to the readers. I have really enjoyed reading this series and wish it was a series and not a trilogy.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I love book 3, as usual we see non action. Inspirational Suspense is my favorite kind of book. I love how Samantha confronts Lee's former girlfriend and there is a surprising twist with another character. I loved this series.
All' well that ends well. Sam and Lee live happily ever after, hopefully with less excitement in their lives! Perhaps we will hear from them in future books.
