✒️Published in 1855.Herein is a collection of tales about dogs and about cats – a little something for every dog and cat lover.

I was summarily entertained as I read this book piece-meal when the mood struck me. I laughed, I smiled, I was satisfied.

My favorite passage is thus:

“Can we not be patient with their bad or disagreeable qualities, and encourage all their good dispositions?”

Indeed, that is how I would – in a perfect world – like to see people treat everyone: dogs, cats, horses, fellow people. Perhaps that is the moral of this book.

Liked learning many animal facts of which I had little or none data. Good learning material for trivia.. try or.

Cute stories

Although written a while ago I think it would be a nice collection for youngsters. Reading to or with children would be rewarding.
