I’ve always been fascinated by Milan. A cosmopolitan city in Northern Italy where modernity flourishes. Finance, fashion, architecture, history, culture, art, all of these things were born here. I’ve been to Italy twice and have visited Sicily, Rome, Florence and Pisa, but when it comes to Milan, I’ve only been to its airport, Milan Malpensa 🥺 I never got the chance to visit Milan and I’ve been intrigued ever since.
The main attraction I’ve always wanted to visit is the famous Gothic cathedral, Il Duomo. The spires rising high towards the Milanese sky, is also known as “Milan’s Forest”. The cathedral is photographic and beautiful and I can’t wait to visit it. In this book, there are 111 places in Milan that you can’t miss and a lot of the attractions are worth visiting, but there are a few places that actually struck me and I would put it on my to-do list when visiting Milan:
1. Aldo Coppola 2. The Boxer’s Spire (on the roof of the Duomo) 3. Cascina Cuccagna 4. Conca dell’Incoronata 5. The Crying Madonna 6. The Devil’s Column 7. Eataly 8. The Fashion District 9. Isola di Frida 10. Manzoni’s Study 11. Massimo’s Ice Cream 12. Milano a Memoria 13. Outlet Fashion 14. Palazzo Imperiale 15. Palazzo Lombardia 16. Parco delle Basiliche 17. Peck 18. San Bernardino 19. Sforza Castle 20. Torre Branca 21. Thieves in the Window 22. Urbicus, the Gladiator
Carino. Ottimo per un turista che non conosce la città. Per chi l’ha gia visitata trova lo stesso alcune chicche. Bellissime le foto di accompagnamento.
