This playful ode to toes and feet celebrates all the things you (and your feet) do in a day. The adventures of one little girl described in exuberant verse and depicted in delightful watercolor illustrations will make you want to join in too.
ANN WHITFORD PAUL, author of 'TWAS THE LATE NIGHT OF CHRISTMAS has always been crazy for Christmas, but overwhelmed by it, too. Afterwards she is worn-out and dreams that someone like Mrs. Saint Nick could help her out with the resulting chaos and mess.
Ann graduated from the University of Wisconsin and Columbia University School of Social Work. She became inspired to write picture books after years of bedtime reading to her four children. She's published 19 different award-winning books. Now she gets story ideas from her three grandchildren. For ten years she taught picture book writing through UCLA Extension. She still enjoys teaching how to write picture books. When she isn't writing or teaching, she loves listening to her cat purr, watching spiders spin their webs and following snails' trails.

This is a fun book for both parent and child to read together. This is another favorite at our house;it has a wonderful fun and engaging rhyming story.
This was a cute book but it felt kind of long and I was kind of put off by the girl's obsession with her feet. I know it's a kid's book but it was kind of weird. My daughter didn't want to read it more than once either.
This is a book about all of the things that feet do! They kick, they stomp, they squish into mud...it's a great book to introduce kids to their feet and to talk about all of the things feet can do. The pictures tell a lot more than the words do in the story, which is great for dialogic reading.
Occasionally awkward rhymes and breaks that don't seem to be in quite the right place distract from this otherwise fun book tracing a girl's day and all the things her feet do.
This book shows children the part of the feet and toes play in your everyday life. It helps children learn about their parts of the body. The illustration is also colorful and bright.
This book takes place outside with the main character being a young girl who does not wear shoes. This book takes you through the adventure that she goes on throughout one day without wearing her shoes. She talks as if her feet are telling her where to go. She talks about the different textures and feelings she feels while walking through different things. This book talks about different feelings that she also feels throughout her adventure. This book is filled with many different bright colors along with illustrations that are very detailed. The pictures and colors of this book will make you want to join in on her adventures with her! I gave this book five stars because it was my favorite when I was younger. I enjoyed the pictures and illustrations because they were bright and spread across both pages. I think this book deserves five stars because the overall theme of being open to going on adventures and trying new things is beneficial for students to learn about.
Simple book about all the things your feet (and, I suppose, toes) can do throughout the day. Would probably be boring for multiple reads, but could be good for a body/anatomy storytime and have children do a few of the actions (stomping feet, quietly tapping toes, etc.) while the book is being read.
I chose this because we have a theme right now with "Hello toes!" Bud says this when he bows for violin, and Linden at 18m loves to walk around saying "Hello toes!" To find a book with this title was great! It was cute, rhymey and hit the spot.
Ozzy selected this and he quite liked it. It took me halfway through the book to realize it wasn't fingers and toes. Oops. But the rhyming is nice; it's not too repetitive and it tells a good story.
A toddler and up book about a young girl waking up excited about her feet and toes and spending the day putting them in differnt situations. Lots of movement possibilities.
Written with verse and cute early picture book. Like the set up and the small amount of text and cute pictures. This is one to read aloud to little kids. I love the child swinging and pointing her toes up to the sky. I like the font used for the type in the book. Illustrator was Nadine Bernard Westcott.
