Seed of the Gods by Zach Hughes is an interesting, pulpy sci-fi read from the 1970s that I thoroughly enjoyed. The story surrounds an alien species that came to earth for resources, as a part of centuries-long interaction with humanity. A young man from the alien species falls in love with a human woman, which sets off a series of events that tests the boundaries of the human/alien interaction for all time. I don’t want to give too much away, other than the love story in this book is surprisingly poignant and touching. This is a hidden gem of paperback fiction worthy of a weekend read.
