All good things... SHOULD come to an end (lest they get rebooted to death)!

- Roy Fokker is mortally wounded defending the SDF-1. I may be a grown-ass adult, and this is just a comic book, but I still can't help feeling a bit sad about losing Roy.

- Miriya seeking to find the veritech pilot who bested her, volunteers to infiltrate the micronians.

- While under Zentraedi attack, the SDF-1 accidentally does more damage to Toronto than Drake's music. Now a pariah, the ship and all 70,000 Macross citizens are exiled to space.

- Zentraedi spies, Bron, Ricco and Konda, return to their ship and, once debriefed by Breetai, they go brag to their buddies that they each scored Minmei. Like those dorks had a chance (I'm shallow, okay, I said it).

Of course this story had to eventually end, but I have to wonder if the comic versions of The Masters and The New Generation were as good as this. While I enjoyed those two on T.V., I didn't LOVE them as I did Macross.
I very rarely give a book five stars. This was amazing for me on every level. Usually I'm a very slow reader, but I made it through all four volumes in about five days. Record time for me.
I'll be singing Robotech's praises until dementia sets in.
