It's Evangelion... Nuff' Said!

THERE IS A BEFORE AND AN AFTER

In Japanese Anime, there is a before and an after of Neon Genesis Evangelion.

This Anime TV series redefined how to produced this kind of material, especially in the genre of mechas, but also in the field of characters' design...

...not matter that we still are waiting (2018) a worthy ending to this epic Anime series...

...yes, there has been two in TV, but nope, we are still waiting, hoping that the fourth incoming theatrical film, maybe, just maybe, it would bring us to a satisfactory finale.

Meanwhile, in a market where there are dozens of reference books about this popular Anime series, it's without a doub that this one, very book, stands out as the reference book to have in your collection if you're fan of Neon Genesis Evangelion.

In a not so distant future, Earth suffers a mysterious impact that changed all the coasts around the cities of the world, and right after humankind is suffering merciless attacks from strange creatures known as "Angels" that due the advantage of "Absolute Terror Fields", they are protected against any conventional military...

...the only hope is on top-secret mechas known as "Evangelions" able to break into the AT Fields and given hell to those "Angels"...

...however only very special teenagers, gifted or cursed, have been able to qualify as EVA pilots, therefore, they become the prime assets of NERV, the organization which developed the EVA units.

However, NERV isn't only have to be concerned about the mysterious Angels, but also of the insidious plans of the United Nations, jealous and affraid of the power in the hands of NERV.

Is the End of the World possible to be stopped?

This is Neon Genesis Evangelion!

Let me start by saying I am not an otaku nor an incel; I love the outdoors, being with friends, meeting new people, building in-person (and online) relationships, and I can only be on technology for so long before I get headaches or just sick of the idleness. I just like anime, and enjoy it as I also enjoy tv shows and movies; all forms of media; within the forms: some good, some bad. That's just how the dice roll. But yeah, Neon Genesis Evangelion is awesome. I love it. Played a role in a handful of my life's moments.

Thought the initial drawings for the EVAs and characters like Shinji were really cool--especially the sketches of famous scenes like the Shinij chair moment. I also liked seeing some angels that never made it into the show. Liked how the section for settings was titled "Stage of the Myth." That's awesome; never thought of the story that way.

This would be a fun coffee-table book, but some of the drawings are kinda suss. So I don't think I would, lol.

Anno is a genius and had a very talented team on this project.

Read online. Read entirely on my couch. Laying down under a blanket; a few pillows behind me. I desperately need to fix my posture. I feel like a caveman. Might buy one of those exercise ball chair thingys. Might help. Might also drive me insane. I don't know which mental/physical frustration would be worse.
