Fascinating! Kind of a quick read, but I learned a lot from it. It’s outdated, but that gives it an interesting time capsule quality. (It was written in the mid 1990s, when Mandela had just been elected.) I’d like to read a similar book that was published more recently, to compare and contrast. I enjoyed this very much, and it made me wistful because my mom, who had lived in South Africa, would have liked it and had plenty of her own comments and stories to add.
