Nice biography of Bob Hope that focuses on his cheerful nature. This word was co flared with humor and optimism throughout the book, but, whatever. The author made the mistake of including numbers in the book that don’t age with it. It’s one thing to mention when Bob Hope was born, but she should have avoided mentioning that he was now “almost 80,” since that was a good forty years ago. Whoops.

The Power of Cheerfulness. I remember this book from back in the day. I am not sure why. I guess because I thought it was amazing the Bob Hope was from England, (because he lost his British Accent) and that his real name was Leslie. Besides that, it learned more about him. I was recently at the Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine Florida and they have a whole huge exhibit honoring Bob Hope. You could almost skip the rest of the museum and just see the Bob Hope room! :-)
