No esta mal. Los dibujos son bonitos pero la historia no tiene ningun mensaje para los peques sino que mas bien salen monstruos que se van llevando a los marineros. Esperaba mas.
A mi peque de 5 años tampoco le llamó mucho la atención

I liked it but it terrified my two year old. I think the book has some great pictures and a good rhyming scheme. It may be a little scary for bedtime with younger toddlers (or just vary by personality).

The nasty greedy pirate captain sails into the mist in search of treasure. His crew get picked off by the monsters but he still manages to land on treasure island. The treasure gems turn out to be monster eggs and the various parents go 'Nom! Nom! Nom!' on the mean fox pirate captain (the final page shows his fox skull in a monster mouth).

My toddler was horrified but older kids might find a delightful sense of justice to it.

We originally got this out as a book from the library then ended up buying it. Pirates, monsters, rhyme, a good story, love it. The boys ask me to read it again and again.

spoiler alert

I find the ending deliciously creepy, the nasty, greedy pirate captain surrounded by monsters about to be eaten, calling out but there is no one around who will hear him, or at least no one who will understand.
